There was one circumstance that was enough to make me decide I would never return to any Cheesecake Factory again. As this happened a prior time at this Sherman Oaks location, and as it seems to be a policy, I am never returning. Cheesecake premeasures its alcohol by their own admission and unless you ask for a proper ounce or dose, you will be shorted. In my instance, I had a luncheon with a very close recently widowed friend and we ordered two drinks - and I know these drinks - very very well. One in particular, an apple martini but regardless. The alcohol, if it existed at all, and was premeasured as I was ultimately told, was way shorted. When I raised the issue, a manager came and I explained it. No apologies just excuses. Promised another drink. Ten minutes later, five minutes after the arrival of my food, still did not receive my drink. Asked for it and it came finally and was proper. Then, I was billed for the first bad drink as well as the replacement. I raised this issue with the waitress. Rather than apologize, I was told that I would have to have the manager speak with me. Sounded like high school again. Manager came and as though doing ME a favor, after they tried to rip me off, and dominated my entire lunch with their stupid drink game, told me that I would not be charged, but next time, to tell the bartender that you want more alcohol - to wit, not to be shorted. I will not go back ever.

I placed an order for carryout and was very disappointed with the quality of the food. It was in no way held to the standards that your restaurant usually provides. The Tex Mex egg rolls tasted as though they had been reheated in a fryer and were burnt to the point where two of them were black! Should you like a photo, I have one. Not only did it not look appetizing but who would eat those burned rolls? I could not believe we were served that. The lettuce leaves for the Chicken Thai wraps were pinkish around the edges which means they were old and not fresh. Again, not something that should be served. On a previous occasion, this same thing happened when I ordered food “To Go”. I considered it a one time incident and let it go, however after yesterdays déjà vu, it appears as though take out orders are not given the same priority as dine in orders. I can guarantee those egg rolls would NOT have been presented to a dine in customer. Regardless of whether I would have dined in or carried out, the bill would still have been the same and therefore I do not feel my order should have been treated any differently. I will NEVER order food to go from there again. First time shame on you, second time shame on me. Third time NO WAY!

The food is so delicious at cheesecake factory but unfortunately this particular location has so many problems. The take-out department is the absolute worst. This location happens to be right across the street from us so we keep using it, but thats the only reason. Our order almost always comes out wrong or missing something (we dont customize our orders BTW so its not like it is complicated). They are also the stingiest restaurant in the world with their sauces. And if you ask them for extra sauce you get maybe a teaspoon more. The cherry on top of the sundae is that we are always quoted about 25 mins wait time and are constantly sitting there waiting for 45 mins to an hour. Its so damn frustrating. Management is always quick to apologize and offer a piece of cheesecake rather than fix the problem. I dont want cheesecake! I just want to get my food and leave. If i was trying to spend an hour in a restaurant i would just eat there. The only reason this place gets a 2nd star is because the one time we ate in we had a great experience.

Whatever they did to this place, STAY AWAY! Sat outside and the smell of gas made us both dizzy, no heaters on with candles lit! Asked for a seat inside, where we waited another 30 mins on top of the 47 we sat out being gassed. I dont know how you can mess up fish & chips, but Damn they did a good job. They hadnt changed the oil in the deep fryer and had left carbon potato chips in there! My fish was so greasy, it took 3 cloth napkins and a pile of paper ones, just to pick up a fried piece of fish and watch it bend in half without breaking. They put all that grease on top of the fries, only people that didnt get straws in our water and the worst service Ive experienced. Been going here 20 years and could hear others complaining. No one stayed for dessert. Staff was unskilled and unprofessional. 3 hours on a Thursday night wasted and all I wanted was cheesecake. Left long before they could make us want dessert! Negative 5 stars. Made me sick walking half a mile home. Change the name to Trumpcake Factory. Never again!

Im not sure if its this location or all of them but I feel the quality has gone down. Both my food and my wifes was quite greasy. Now I realize I ordered the fish and chips but still I have had much better less greasy fried fish. The biggest issue we had was our bad server he asked 5 times in 5 minutes if we were ready to order from the moment we sat down, then I think he figured out we were getting annoyed so he left and never came back. We needed a minute to look at the menus its quite a large menu. It took about 10-15 for him to come back and get our order, then it took quite a while to get our food, and then we wanted desert but he never came back for that either so we told another waiter we wanted dessert so he said he would tell our waiter but still he took forever to come. Then finally after we got our cheese cake we wanted our check and again couldnt find him. They validate parking for 2 hours but we still had to pay because of how long he took. Not happy.

As a local I always recommend the Cheesecake Factory when people from out of town ask me where to eat. Simply because I know whatever they order... It will be good. Ive ate at the Cheesecake Factory over 30 times in my lifetime and all were equally as delicious. They have a huge menu with pages and pages of delicious food it can be overwhelming. They start off with bread and butter which is great. Save room for cheesecake!!!! Its unreal how good the cheesecake is. The portions are pretty big...I would recommend the avocado egg rolls, fettuccine alfredo, or jambalaya. Price wise its fair for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere is nice. There are booths along the whole restaurant which give you a private feel. Theres also room for large groups. They sing the happy birthday song it its your birthday. Great for dates, couples, and families. If you didnt save enough room for cheesecake... Take it to go! Its that good.

I have been living in the hotel just down the street for 3 months, so have been grabbing take out at least once a week from this location. The take out leaves much to be desired. I got back to hotel the other night and my steak was barely warm, not cold, but very close. The other two entrees were fine, but obviously the cook didnt time things very well, big disappointment when steak is $30. Also, even though they "usually" walk you through each item you ordered, the few times they didnt, my order was completely wrong. Think about it, you get back to your room an order is wrong, what can you do now, it just sucks! I know they are one of the busiest restaurants going and lack of attention to details shows it. i just ate at the bar and maybe the two worst bartenders ever, these two women hated their jobs. could care less about hospitality. and I only had to pay $50 for their company..wow, cheesecake has gone way down, what a shame.
