Dont let the name fool you! "Basic" does not mean "ordinary" or "boring!" This is a little jewel of a gym tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Palm Springs. The space is small, but very efficiently organized with at least one of everything you need to get in a great workout. Family owned and operated, this place attracts a down to earth membership and has a warm and welcoming vibe. If you are looking for a great place to get an even better workout check this place out. You will find everything you need from spin class, TRX, free weights, machines, treadmills, the works. Basically, the Basic Gym is your workout solution. Try a day pass and I bet you join on the way out just like I did!

One of the best gym experiences Ive had, and highly recommended if youre looking for a friendly, clean and well-organized gym space. The owners, Vernon and Katie, go out of their way to make you feel like family. Ive had a lot of personal training over the years, but have to say that Vernon was most knowledgeable, and so willing to share his knowledge in a detailed way, plus he made it fun... laughter is good exercise too, right? Great place! And nothing basic about the Basic Gym. I recommend!

This was my second year at the Basic Gym while vacationing in Palm Springs and the owners, Vernon and Katie, have done a great job at making this the perfect gym to workout at! The gym has everything you need to get a good workout in and its very clean and organized. I noticed a diverse group of people using the gym and Vern and Katie have a way of making everyone feel welcome and not intimidated. Plus - they are always willing to help you out. I will definitely be going back :)

I was in Palm Springs a short time and found this small but mighty gym walking distance from our RV site. I got a total workout on the TRX, which I had never done before plus I got to Spin with a great instructor. I am over 60 and this place will be my choice to work-out. The owners are personable and knowledgeable with no intimidation tactics I get at other gyms. Try them and it will feel good for your body, mind and soul. Annie T

If you are looking for a low profile gym with an expert owner and trainer, this is the place for you. The staff is very professional without the arrogant attitude you may find in larger gyms. They also validate your membership to Silver Sneakers Club. If you have Medicare Advantage or Scan and looking to exercise with a free membership, this is the club for you.
