My Review/Appreciation! Self-Storage Company Boxes Up the Years Most Brain-Melting-est Ads Give Up Your Sanity Along With Your Stuff, writes Alfred Maskeroni in his internet article in this weeks ADWEEK "The Best and Worst of Advertising, Branding and Design." Watching those creative TV Advertisements can be quite hilarious, but what can be even funnier is their over exaggerated promises of what companies will do for you, how their prices are the lowest, or my favorite, how their company has the fastest friendliest service. When I read that article and watched some of Public Storage commercials he added to his article, my first thought was Public Storage commercials were funny but actually they were exceptionally true. I have been renting a space from Public Storage at 640 San Pablo Ave. Pinole for almost three years now; and I have to say that in my experience with them, it has been awesome and outstanding. I have found them to have the lowest prices for what you get, they didn’t try to put me into a bigger unit that I didn’t need, the property is clean, well lit, easily accessible and everyone I have come in contact with, wheather it be the 800 number or the Pinole location, have been very helpful and always a joy to work with. But there is one person that I have had the pleasure to work with the most and that is Bruce, the Pinole Public Storage on site Manager. Unfortunately, I have had one bad situation after another happen in my life these past few years and have even had to ask Bruce for help numerous times. Bruce has gone out of his way to help us, way above and beyond, I’m sure, what is in his job description. He always has a smile on his face listening ears, a big heart and readiness to help however he can. You just dont find customer service like that anymore! I’m writing this Review/Appreciation so people will know that I truly feel Public Storage is the best company for storage by far. But more importantly, I want the company, as well, to know that Bruce is an excellent employee and he needs to be recognized for what an outstanding job he does! So if there is a bonus he could get, a raise or maybe extra days of paid vacation, PLEASE make sure he gets it! Public Storage gets my two thumbs up! So if youre in need of extra storage call Public Storage. If you live in the Pinole area definitely go see Bruce and "Give Up Your Sanity Along With Your Stuff".

After a horrible experience of theft/burglary at the Pinole facility in Sept 2015, we vowed to never utilize Public Storage again. Household goods valued at approximately $3500 (Sanyo 55 inch flat screen tv, antique wooden guitar, expensive pots/dishes, jewelry, golf shoes, etc.) were all stolen from rented unit #E020. Completely sealed boxes, personally inventoried by myself and the moving company (North American Van Lines) had been ransacked. Furthermore, three checkbooks from Washington Mutual for an unknown Mary Grace Fernandez and Danfilo A. Garayan Jr. and a “multi-tool” (now with City of Pinole PD CS#P15-19682} were found in one of our storage boxes. Though it could not be proven this definitely appeared to be an inside job. We even selected to use their insurance so needless to say, we were flabbergasted when Sedgwick Claims Mgmt Svcs. (administrator for New Hampshire Insurance Company) denied our claim bstating there were “no signs of forcible entry”. The 20 x 20 unit was securely padlocked (lock purchased from Public Storage) and both keys were accounted for. My parents were completely and totally violated and they now have neither faith nor trust in Public Storage. However, my own recent experience compels me to salute and thank Naomi at the 2650 Appian Way facility for her warm smile, professionalism and her sincere apology for the actions of others from the “other PS facility”. Hopefully, all the positive feedback will lead the PS District Mgr. to consider appointing Ms. Naomi to promote and/or conduct future employee training.

Over a period of 10 plus years I have had 3 units at Public Storage all at the same time. The prices are raised every 6 months. I do understand that the facility has to be kept in good condition at all times, but for long term customers, at some point there should be a cap on rent prices. Bruce, the property manager, who is also the most friendly, helpful and efficient, person keeps the property clean and safe. When my house was destroyed by a water leak and I had to rent another unit, Bruce was there helping with rental space, boxes and other supplies. I for one remain at Public Storage, because of the great management skills of Bruce the manager.

Bruce is the onsite manager and was very helpful in finding me the best location and rate for available storage in the bay area.Secure, clean and easy access off I-80, they even have a restroom for tennants! This is an update to my review as I have been a Tennant for over a year and am very pleased with Bruce and the rest of the staff. They are professional and courteous and I really appreciate their calls if I am late with the rent. I have a mobile business in San Francisco but the reasonable rent and secure location are ideal for my storage needs.

My Husband Pavel and I are Very happy with our Public Storage experience. There are other Public Storage sites much closer to our home,but we chose 640 San Pablo AVE primarily because of the excellent ongoing customer service provided by Bruce,the site manager.When we come to pay our bill, he always remembers our names and which unit # is ours. Yesterday when I came to my storage to organize it (finally); I noticed a couple of screws were loose on the part where the locking mechanism is on the wall. Long story short when I talked to Bruce about it he didnt hesitate and immediately helped me out. He actually fixed the problem in at the most 7 minutes. I have been a customer for years now and Bruce has always been friendly and outgoing towards me! I really appreciate his dedication to quality management and great customer service! Thank you Bruce!

This company is a fraud. First they attempted bait and switch, saying smaller units were not subject to $1 first month move in. Then they revoked my reservation because I complained about the bait and switch. If they did this to you contact your local District Attorney and make a complaint. Also call Better Business Bureau. They make millions off of betting that you are too busy or stupid to complain. Dont let them take advantage of you, just a phone call can get you money you are owed.

I really appreciated the customer service provided by Bruce, the property manager there. I had a bit of problem with the billing and he was great to resolve it with me and the district manager . He went far beyond what I see people doing, especially these days! He gave me a call to let me know that somehow my payment did not go through and it was resolved without any late payment involved. The level of personal service Bruce provided is something I would like to see more of. Thank you Bruce!
