On 2/24/2016 you sent out two “Techs” to check on a water leak in the planter area near my water meter. They dug a shallow hole next to the meter about a foot and a half deep and two shovels width wide. They proded around in the dirt and had no clue as to where the water was coming from. Your bill stated it took one person ½ hour and the other 3.5 hours. I watched and quite frankly was less than assured that they knew what they were doing. When questioned neither had any idea as to where the water was coming from. They compiled a very costly estimate to the tune of $6435. Based on what I saw, I called in another company to evaluate the problem and give me a bid to repair the leak. Within minutes of arriving they located the leak on the other side of the water meter. As stated in my email, the job was done in 2.5 hours for the total cost of $2500 by the Trenchless co. I really dont believe that Armstrong is a dishonest company in doing plumbing repairs but you do have a problem. I was watching the 2 people doing the investigative work (that term is being generous) the short time they were there and what they did was not reassuring my confidence. I am convinced that they did not have a clue as to how to deal with the problem at hand and they over estimated the cost to compensate and cover their behinds. Something to thing about with respect to training and estimating job costs. Following the Feb. 6 Email that I sent you, I received a response from customer service indicating they would check into it and contact me. Since then have not heard a word. I did however received a bill for $675.00 to “locate water leak” near my water meter. Keep in mind they did not locate the water leak. Check your invoice #56532. They came up with some cockamamie estimate that had no credibility. I refuse to pay this bill. If you want to pursue it further feel free, I am very disappointed in what occurred. I will remind you that I had considerable work done by your company in suite B. Now I question the legitimacy of those expenditure as well. I will not do business with your company again. Paul Binon

One of our toilets was leaking and needed to be resealed. I called Armstrong Plumbing to see what appointments they had available and to get an estimate. Luckily they were able to send a technician out at an earlier time than my appointment (they called me to "ok" it). Technician Justin V. was sent to help us. He was polite, efficient, courteous and professional. Dont be fooled by those innocent blue eyes of his! He knows what hes doing. He did the job in less time than was estimated over the phone and the total cost was much less than the phone estimate. He even fixed the little obnoxious "wiggle" that toilet has had for 4 years (no charge). It wiggles no more and its better than ever. Justin V. has a great work ethic. He cleaned up as he worked. I would give him 5 stars but Im cautious and reserved by nature. Im sure Ill give the 5 star rating after our second positive experience. I look forward to calling on Armstrong Plumbing for future services.

Service Pro Stephen S. arrived within the scheduled time period. He was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I immediately got a sense he really cared about his customer just from the way he carried himself. He was very confident and I felt he really cared about doing his best to be fair to me. He could have easily just installed a new disposal I had purchased on Angies List from his company but he looked at the situation and informed me that he could salvage my current disposal with just replacing a part. I respected his honesty and sincerity in saving me over half the cost and being able to keep the better disposal I had. I thank him and he has gained my trust. If I ever need plumbing services in the future I will be sure to ask for him. Mark called me and said he was on the way, arrived on time and introduced himself in a nice professional manner. He got to work right away to fix my hot water heater. He tested it out and found the problem. It was a complicated fix, but Mark figured it out and fixed it perfectly. He had the part that I needed, so I didnt have to get a hold of the company to have them send it. He took care of everything. He also put in a brand new bathroom facet for me and made sure that everything was to perfection and cleaned up any mess that he made. Mark was professional, great to talk to and explained everything that he was doing and any questions I had, he answered. He was honest and fair and Armstrong is lucky to have such a great employee. I will continue to use Armstrong Plumbing when needed as long as there are employees like Mark. Thank You Mark for all that you did for me, I do appreciate it.

Woke up Saturday morning to flooded kitchen floor and hallway outside bathroom. Contacted landlord, who contacted Armstrong Plumbing. Michelle called me within 30 minutes of my initial call, scheduled a plumber for between 11am - 1pm. Mike B. called early to say he was on his way. He was fantastic! Figured out the water heater was shot, so had to go get a new one. Also knew he had another scheduled job, so told us what he was doing and when he would be back. He came back in late afternoon, stayed and got the job done; it wass not an easy job, as space is quite constrained, but he was persistent even as he ran into obstacles, and probably put in an unusually late evening of work to get it done. He kept his cool and was very professional in tough circumstances! A great guy who dealt very well with a tough situation, and got us back on track much sooner than might have been expected!

Review regarding Jacob from Armstrong Plumbing. He was absolutely great. He came to assess our leaking water heater. Turns out that we have a direct vent type of water heater and required numerous phone calls before finding the appropriate replacement. He spent the time to track down a heater that was configured to work in our space. He spent over 8 hours to make it work, including building out a platform extension for the new water heater (which he did not anticipate and did not charge us additional cost). He was very personable, clear in his explanations, and was a pleasure to work with. Quality of his work was superb. He paid attention to details. Afterwards he cleaned up the garage (his work area) so that it was cleaner than when he arrived. If everyone who works for Armstrong Plumbing is like Jacob, then I would highly recommend the company and certainly Jacob.

We had Armstrong replace the old galvanized water pipes and cast iron drains, original to our 1950 house, and update us to a tankless hot water heater. They did a great job, worked hard the whole time, were very professional, and left the site as clean as they found it. Water pressure and availability of hot water are much improved, and its great not having to worry about the old pipes failing. They also made sure we had hot and cold running water and at least 1 bathroom available each night. My only quibble would be that the crew were only here for about 6 hours a day (including lunch break) for the first 2 days of what was estimated to be a 3 day project, then had to work extra hours on days 3 and 4 plus half a day on day 5 to finish up. We had to board our dogs for the duration of the project, so the extra days were a bit of a hardship.
