Honest in the checking and services. They tell me what is recommended versus what is needed and lastly, what is upcoming in the future. They are transparent about their prices and the compares parts pretty accurately. They give me a call before performing addition services - no surprises. Prices are mentioned first upfront and clearly indicates the services that were performed. Friendly services both from Mike and David. Mike always addresses me by "sir" even though Im young enough to be their son. The waiting area is spacious, tidy and comfortable. The bathroom is also clean. Advice is to make an appointment and your car will be in and out in no time. Lastly, cafes and restaurants are within a block so you can spend your time working or relaxing while waiting. Overall, the service is good; the location is convenient; the price is reasonable. Im returning to get my Prius serviced.

Friendly and thoughtful experts! I have taken my car to Hontech for both regular services and maintenance and Ive always been happy with the results. I dont feel pressured into dubious services (as I have at dealers), and if anything Hontech has tried to save me money wherever possible. After a recent service I had a few follow-up questions that I emailed to Hontech. The next day Dave, the owner, sent me an incredibly detailed and thoughtful response that addressed my questions and gave me a lot of useful background information into the issue my car was experiencing. I was really blown away at the level of customer service I had received. I am really glad that I found Hontech and I prefer them to a dealer shop hands-down. I recommend them without reservation.

Dave, Susie and team exhibit honesty and integrity beyond reproach. They provide exemplary service with every interaction...no matter who youre dealing with there. I should know; Ive been a customer for 15 years. Whether its saving me money by advising only essential services or providing feedback on all things automotive related, Dave and Susie provide an incredible peace of mind regarding my vehicles. A few years ago, I brought my 2001 Acura TL in due to a perceived gear slippage at 40+ mph. Dave identified a faulty transmission. He couldve sold me a new one and I wouldnt have known the difference. Instead, he told me exactly what to say and how to say it when calling the dealer. Hontech saved me $4,000 on this issue alone!

I have been a customer of Hontech since moving to San Diego from San Francisco. They are simply the best. I had a 1989 Honda Civic SI and 2005 Honda Civic SI. They are thorough, honest and reliable. I know when I get in my car, that everything is going to work as they check all the important things. Tires, pressure, window wipers, fluids and I dont have to tell them what to do. They know. I cannot imagine anyone ever saying anything even remotely negative about Hontech. It is not true. They work on certain cars. Period. I am lucky I own one. I am thinking of buying another and they will check it out for me and give me their best advice. I give them a 20 out of 1-5!

Dishonest Service I called them to ask for a price for service/repair, and the sales representative and/or manager told me that he will call me back in a few minutes to give me an estimate of the price. I waited for him to call me back, but he never called. This is a strong sign of dishonesty and poor customer service. Im so glad that I discovered their dishonesty before taking my car there for service, because the worst could happen. Never go there or recommend this place to anyone. Eventually, they will lose customers and money, but not me.

You have a car. You need top-notch service. You want the same level of service you would get from a dealership but dont want to pay dealership prices (or be subject to their marketing machine that bi-weekly mails you "deals"). Once Honda-only, now Acura, Toyota, Lexus and Scion too. Exxxxxtnsively certified mechanics. Staff you get to know on a first-name basis (2 Daves?). Loaner cars and shuttle service (thanks Teo!). Proactive front desk (Mike and Bryan). Go. Go now. Get your car karma in order.

I love my Acura TL and when I need to get it serviced I go to Hontech. They are reasonably priced and have great service. I recently took my Acura in for its 20k service and they told me it needed a new battery. I loved that they were honest and said this would probably be covered by warrantly. It was and I got the battery replaced at no charge at the dealership.

Great place to get your Honda serviced! I started going there about 6 years ago when on recommendation by my neighbor. Loved them instantly. It is family owned and you can feel it when youre there. Dave and Susie and the staff are so friendly. They remember you and your car and take care of you like no other place Ive been.

If you live in the greater North Park area and youre still getting your Honda serviced at the dealership, stop the madness! Drop off your car at Hontech and its in good hands. Youll get great personal service from the owners and like me youll wonder why you didnt always use them.

These guys over at Hontec are the best. They walk you through the issues, tell you the right, cost effective plan to get your car on track. In my opinion they are better than the dealer. If you have a Honda/Acura/Toyota/Lexus just go there, you wont be disappointed!!
