I had my starter die, so AAA came to get my car running again. Of the three places I called, this place had the second best price for the replacement of my starter and had the added benefit of being right by my apartment. They replaced and fixed the part the same day (brought it in at about 12:30pm and fixed at 4:30pm). George told me I had a one year warranty on the part. Over the next week, I noticed a weird noise every time I started the car. I called them up and told them about the noise. George said to bring it in so they could take a look at it. They offered me a loaner car so I could get to work when I dropped off the car. I didnt take them up on this, but I did have them drop me off at work and pick me up at the end of the work day after theyd fixed the faulty part (hello, warranty!). That was fantastic as it removed any headaches that I might have otherwise had trying to get to work, etc. George was exceedingly pleasant through the entire ordeal and was obviously looking to make sure I was happy with the entire transaction, even if it meant getting me a rental car. Great service experience with these guys -- highly recommended!

My car stopped working in the middle of a busy street. AAA towed it to Mission Hills Auto (MHA) at 7:00am. on a Saturday and I discovered that they have a neat check-in system for unexpected visits. I filled in an envelope and put the key in it and dropped it into the garage, leaving the car parked in their forecourt. At 8:00am sharp, they called me and I explained what had happened. They then called me back to say that they couldnt do an analysis until Monday (fair enough) and on Monday at about 9:00 am. they informed me that the low pressure fuel pump had failed and that it might be under warranty with BMW. After I called BMW and was told it was not, I got back to MHA, who then ordered the part and had it installed by 9:00 am. Tuesday. I picked the car up later on. What I like about them is that they keep you informed, they are very transparent about pricing and they are always trying to save you money if they can. They do good work and are very friendly. They also answer the phone promptly (I was on hold for over 25 minutes with BMW). Highly recommended.

The guys at Mission Hills Automotive are as good as they come. I drove my Jeep to San Diego for a conference, when the latch on the rear glass window decided not to "catch"/close, right before I left town. I felt unsafe driving at high speeds with an unlatched window, and I found MHA on Yelp. Randy, Dan & the entire team were all super-nice, and genuinely wanted to help (even though I didnt live in the area). They made a quick fix to the latch, and had me back on the road, and heading home, within 30 mins of arriving at their shop. I honestly cant remember being treated THIS WELL...at an auto repair shop. No question, THIS would be my go-to car repair team if I lived in SoCal!

I found Mission Hills Automotive after the unfortunate experience of catastrophic engine failure while visiting San Diego, and I have to say that they are some of the, if not THE, most competent, well-mannered mechanics I have ever met. Leighton was the Service Advisor I spoke with the most and it was a pleasure dealing with him. He kept me up to date on where they were with repairs and was always more than happy to answer any questions that I may have had. Though I dont plan on needing them again as I live in another state, I would highly recommend their services to my friends and to anyone else in the San Diego area needing automotive repairs or maintenance done. * 10/10 *

I got a quote from my local mechanic for an HVAC rebuild and complete brakes. Just for good measure I needed an oil change and a new battery, too. Ouch! I could buy a good used car for what he quoted. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Mission Hills. I dropped the car off for a quote in the afternoon, got a call back within two hours and the whole job was done the next afternoon! As a guy I want a mechanic who can work with me, talk to me, and give me a fair price. Randy, the owner, shopped the parts and gave me a reasonable quote. I saved $1000. Good service, good price, highly recommended.

I had my car towed there on saturday night and I was told they will be able to get to it on Monday. Then I got the call Monday morning that the shifter cable broke and that it had to be replaced. He said that they had to order the part directly from the maker of the car and that it would be $129. Then he said with the labor to install it the total would be $362. I asked him not to work on my car because the cost seemed a bit high. I found my part and a mechanic to install it for only $120. I just got my car back and he charged me $124 because of the diagnostic check. Do not go to this guy, he will rip you off.

I have had mulitple repairs at Mission Hills. I am a home mechanic and I do most of my own repairs. However there are times I do not have the tools or skills (or actual time) to do the repair myself. The only place I will go is Randys shop, Mission Hills Automotive even though its quite a drive for me. Being a car guy I have lots of folks asking questions about what might be wrong with their own car. I can usually give them an idea but I send everyone I know to Mission Hills for the repair. I do this without hesitation and without concern that they will be dissatisfied.

I moved to eastern San Diego about six months ago. I lived in Hillcrest before and had Mission Hills Automotive as my mechanic. In spite of living where I live now, which is not close, I still go to this location to have my car taken care of when necessary. To this day I am still very pleased about their honesty, professionalism, and sense of personalized customer care. It is these three primary ingredients along with reasonable prices that encourage continued business with them. I recommend them if anyone is searching for a mechanic.

OUTSTANDING! The service at Mission Hills Automotive is the best quality in San Diego county! Ive always been really happy with the repairs done to my car. The staff is very friendly, competent and committed to getting any problems fixed quickly. Automotive repair gets pricey and adds up fast but every experience Ive had at Mission Hills Auto, the owner, Randy Begin, gives me the peace of mind that I will be quoted a fair price. I will trust this place with all of my cars for years to come so I recommend them to you too :)
