I had a terrible experience at this cleaners which resulted in losing one of my favorite blouses. I brought in an ivory silk blouse and a bright red silk blouse to be dry cleaned. The red blouse had a discoloration on the collar and they warned me that it may not come off but I left it just in case. It did not come off but I already expected that. They did not mention any issues about the ivory blouse. When I returned to pick them up and I went home I saw that the ivory blouse had red stains on the front upper right area and that the front of the ivory blouse was touching the red blouse as they had been placed under the same plastic garment bag. It seemed clear to me that the blouses had come in contact at some point when the red blouse was wet and that the red blouse had bleeded over the ivory blouse. I brought the blouses in and they kept them and said they would speak to the owner of the cleaners and that they would call me the day after with a resolution. No phone calls the day after or the day after that. We called them two days later and they did not have an answer for us yet. We had mentioned to them that we were leaving town but they told us that the owner would not call us until a couple of days later since it was the weekend. Finally the owner called us on Monday after we had left town and she told us that the spots were due to the reaction of my sweat and that they had treated the armpits for sweat marks, something I did not ask for, and that somehow the red spots showed up all over the upper front. They clearly did not want to take responsibility for their mistake and made up a story which does not even make sense to any logical mind. A few days later they mailed the blouses to us and we noticed that the spots were now smeared probably because they tried to remove them or make them blurry to make their story more believable. So an $80.00 blouse later and $10.00 for the price of the dry cleaning which was not even refunded, I learned the lesson that just because a cleaner charges more for their services does not mean that they are going to do a good job or stand behind their work. I have been paying $3.00/blouse in my regular cleaner for over 10 years and I never had something like this happen. Mistakes happen but if this owner does not take responsibility for them hopefully they wont stay in business for very much longer.
