After the stereotypical poor to barely fair experiences at car repair shops I was pretty disillusioned with the entire service industry (surprise, surprise). When my partner recommended that we take our old Mitsubishi to Auto City because the "guys seem nice", I scoffed at her naiveté out loud. As it turned out, she was right and I was wrong (no surprise...happens sometimes). Over time, the owner Jaimes honest, timely and straightforward treatment cured me of my malaise towards repair shops. Beyond fixing our Mitsubishi, hes been there with good prices, honest and unselfish advice in other cases as well. When our friends front end of her Honda was mangled in a fender-bender, Jaime suggested various options with a price range that allowed her to get it fixed up perfectly in accordance to the age of the car. Since then, hes gone above and beyond by giving me candid advice for finding the gems among the aged beaters Ive been looking to when trying to a vehicle. And all this service with integrity and a smile.

I have a 12-year old Toyota truck that is not driven much, but does need maintaining. I have always preferred independent service shops like Auto City Repair to dealerships, as I want to know the people involved. Arturo and Jaime are honest and fair, the work they recommend is done well and on time, and the cost is reasonable. They are close to public transportation here in San Francisco and a short bike ride, so its easy to get there and go about my business when needed. Their bright orange building on the RIGHT HAND side of Folsom Street is hard to miss, too! I recommend them for bodywork too, as Ive seen pretty amazing results (for other vehicles) come out of there, too!

Great service, good advice always. took our car their because of a noise, they checked out the car and couldnt find any issues, and they didnt charge us for looking at the car. have previously taken my car there for preventative maintenance be cause i was giving my car to my son for use at college. new belts, hoses, flush radiator and brake lines. was very pleased with the cost and the timeliness of the repair times.

Love these people. Honest, personable, and extremely competent. They just saved us $1000 on a bumper/rear light repair. They will always try to give you their best for the least amount of money.
