I had high hopes for this gym. Theres a lot of great things about it but its poor floor plan brought my rating down significantly. The positives: - the pool area is great. Its outdoors and has lots of room. - the basketball court is awesome, I wont ever use it but its huge and also outdoors. - the rig they have setup at the functional training area is awesome. This is the first 24 Ive seen with a complete set of bumper plates. The negatives: the floor plan isnt the best. - The rig I mentioned in the previous section does not have nearly enough room for its intended purpose. Theres not enough room to use the TRX suspension trainers and its difficult to use the barbells and do power lifts with such little room. - the cubicle for the personal trainers is nearly smack dab in the middle of the functional training area right next to the TRX/powerlifting rig. - the kettle bells should be moved over towards the open floor area and not stuck near the corner where there is no room to use them, especially for swings and thrusts. - theres no designated walk space for people to get to the cycling and group x rooms so theres constantly people walking through the already cramped functional training area. Not a great idea and a complete liability when people are trying to power lift. - the cardio section is way too big. There are too many cardio machines. This isnt the 90s anymore. People dont do as much cardio as they used to, especially now with many women lifting as well. They should have used more of that space for more weights, resistance machines, and especially the functional training area. This place is brand new so everything is clean and for the most part all the weights are in the proper positions. I hope they dont end up like all the other 24s in the area and stop keeping up with the maintenance. *Update* 8/21/2015 So theyve had the bumper plates removed for almost 3 months now. When they first removed them they told me they were going to move the huge power rack/rig over to the cardio section. I have yet to see any progress of that. Also theyve been slacking just like the other 24 Hour Fitnesses in the area. During the busiest hours the dirty towels pile high and spill over in their bins, and often they dont have enough clean towels. The weights and equipment are scattered throughout the gym and sometimes nowhere near where they are supposed to be. I understand you cant always pick up after everybody but Ive seen personal trainers not even re-rack their clients weights.

Walnut Creek SuperSport was supposed to be one of the best SuperSport gyms in the region. It was the first time that 24 Hour Fitness built a SuperSport gym from scratch. However, all they did was make it similar to 24hour Pleasanton. The sad part is that the kids club is inferior to the kids club at Pleasanton. I am not sure who was thinking through the design process, but the kids club is small (compared to pleasanton) and the games are frequently broken. The customer service is awful. I am rarely greeted (which is supposed to be standard). Furthermore, they are stingy with the towels (downstairs only). The worst part about the gym is that it is too small for the number of people that attend. From 6 - 7:30PM you can forget about just walking in to the gym without having to wait for equipment. The place is teeming with 25 year old steroid guys with their girlfriends (wearing skimpy workout attire). To me, the new 24 hour fitness is like 24 hour Concord on steroids. If you want a good gym experience, try San Ramon, Pleasanton, or Livermore. The manager at Livermore is supernice! I believe her name is Lorraine. She use to be the manager at 24 hour Moraga. Last, the people are not as friendly as the people at 24 hour San Ramon and or even Moraga (that was a surprise).

I signed up this gym on December 2016. The manager named Ryan sold me a group training, but he didnt tell me he actually signed up the payment by auto pay, which my husband and myself just sat in front of him, but he didnt ask for the permission at all and just signed the payment for auto pay. Now every month I had to give them call to cancel that, but still 2 months later the auto pay function is still not cancelled. Today I called up Ryan and wanted make sure he canceled the auto pay yesterday as he promised, but he didnt pick up my call and he wanted me to talk to his boss Kenney, which he said the auto pay will be cancelled within 3 business days. But the gym charge the payment on 27th everything month, so it meant that I will be charged again if the auto pay is not cancelled before 27th. I am so frustrated and they are just very dishonest people working as a executive level. The gym over all is not that great, and I really dont want to go there any more. I dont like those two managers Ryan and Kenny, they are tricky and dishonest, just keeping the balls to each other and play the games with their customers. Dont recommend that location.

The manager is Candice and she is very irresponsible. Ive had three separate occasions where she is supposed to be at work and her employees call and text her and she simply doesnt reply nor answer. I paid for child care, $130 for 2 kids and Ive been unable to work out on 4 different occasions because they are understaffed, have too many kids there too (they should have an extra person).Gym has too many issues. When theyre not short on small towels(Ive gone on 2 occasions to the counter, 30 min apart and they have no towels and they tell you to come back and still no towels), the pool is closed, then you call to ask about class schedules and they give you the wrong information. When they finally give you the right information, they cancel the class and have a different one in its place. Im a single mother of 2 and it is hard enough to get to the closest gym as it is, they make it extra difficult to enjoy an actual work out. They need a better manager. Otherwise, it is clean and the girls at the childcare are amazing with the kids.

I was at this location two weeks ago, after I punched in my number and placed my finger on the scanner, I received a green light and the screen showed,"enjoy your work out" but I was stopped by one of sales associate, he asked me to go back and dial my number again in a very impolite way, " hey! I need u to punch in your number again", the green light flashed again - he said somethings wrong and it didnt register- I pointed at the screen that shows "enjoy your work out" he asked me to do it for the 3rd time - he was talking in an aggressive tone. I read his name tag and informed him that I knew his name is Anthony and I would complain to his boss , his response was so you know my name, I know your name too. I talked to the manager about what Anthony did, and the manager said he would take care of it but nothing happened.

I work out here daily. Their towel service is something you dont realize is that important until you no longer have it. Theyre using a three lane lap pool that while it may get full is worth waiting around for. Very reliable cleanliness, I usually visit at night around 10 pm to 4 am and thats generally when they have their cleaning crew doing their business. During the day Ill pop in maybe just to run for an hour. Being a huge gym has its perks, especially with that indoor basketball court. Anyhow, Id recommend this place endlessly. P.S the crowd seems nice.
