I had a terrible experience today at Whalers car wash when I took my car in to get cleaned. The employee who was working in my car left a huge blue stain on the drivers side seat and door panel. Then to make matters worse, when I looked closer at the seat I noticed that the lumbar area of my drivers side seat had been completely cut up. But wait it gets worse, I went back inside and had the owner come look at the damage his employee had done to to my car and he denied any possible way his employee could have caused what he called "wear and tear" of my leather seat. I have only had my car for two months and there is no way I would have bought a car with any rips in the seat.So after arguing my point and becoming beyond frustrated with the fact that the owner wouldnt take any responsibley for what had happened, I called my husband. While I was sitting on the curb about 2 feet from the drivers side of my car door I saw a razor blade......hmmm coincidence? I think not. I know 100% that my car was not damaged when I brought it in. I have been meticulous about my car since day one and I would have definately noticed if something had happened before I brought it in. I can honestly say that I know for a fact, Whalers car wash damaged ruined my drivers side seat with negligence. Accidental? Sure, Im willing to accept it, but what bothers me the most about this incident is that the owner was trying to convince me that I was normal. Normal wear and tear! 15 horizantal cut marks in my car and a razor blade tossed near by.........you do the math. So I am boycotting this business and spreading the word as far as I can that Whalers Car Wash is a dishonest business. Any business that deserves my business should be accountable for the quality of their work. I wouldnt want this to happen to anyother person who works hard for their monthly car payment only to have their investment destroyed by faulty business practices.

Highly disappointed, been using whalers car wash for yrs always highly recommended them to everyone. My last experience was the worst, & last. I paid for a medium grade car wash, when I received my vehicle back it had damage in the rear. as if it had been hit from behind, in the car wash. I repeatedly left messages for the owner, as no one would take responsibility. I have not ever got a call back. I was told they have cameras yet no one will show or view them of the March 7th 2014, 4pm car wash. To add, the garbage in the front seat was left in a pile, center in the back seat, the doors were not wiped down. I hope my experience does not happen to some one else! I had a bunch of stuff all over on the inside and told them not to worry about vaccuuming too much because I could do that once i got everything out. I hadnt washed my car in months. It went from brown to white in just a few minutes it felt like. The cleaned the inside a bit too and vacuumed up pretty good. However be sure to keep an eye on your car and who is working on it because they just wave whenever they are done and dont really have a good "tell me my car is done" bell or board with numbers or names. There is seating inside and out. There are snacks and drinks to buy to help you with the wait. Desk person takes some time to get to the desk from wherever he is in the back somewhere. Worth the prices.

No ballan a este lugar tuve una esxperiensia muy mala lleve mi carro para que lo lavaran y tenia un baso de 280 dolares,en el carro pues cuando sali de si el baso ya no estaba regrese y able con el dueño y a el no le importo so solo les digo si no quieren una mala experiencia mejor no vallan si

The car wash was fine, the service was fine, no one was rude. But.... I had asked for the RainX treatment on my windshield and watched carefully as the washer rubbed something in my windshield. I felt pretty satisfied until it finally rained a couple weeks later, and my windshield was AWFUL. I could barely see through it. It was like they had rubbed OIL onto my windshield, instead of RainX. Totally blurry, worse than having nothing on my windshield at all. And dangerous! Giving two stars instead of one because they do a fine job, except for the RainX fiasco.

These guys were rude and threatening (yes, threatening!) to me years ago. So much so that I avoided them for over 3 years. I kept hearing that they had changed management and gotten better. Well, not so much. I came in yesterday and they were rude as ever and very questionable on their price quotes, not concrete. They are so rude that I felt I needed to spread the word. I think that they have enough business because of their location, so they take customers for granted. Drive to Capitola, its worth your time (cheaper too)

Ive been going here for a year now. Not one time have I had a visit under 90 minutes. I always get the handwash for around $30. Today with the typical traffic they refused to do a handwash saying they didnt have enough people. So I accepted it and chose a wash on their standard menu. I waited two hours. My car has water spots all over it. All of my windows are covered with blue towel fibers. Completely unacceptable. The service here is non existent. I will not be going back.

Horrible! Im new to the area gave this place 4 tries. (3 Xs too many) I ask for the most expensive car wash that will really get the interior CLEAN! Every time I end up at home cleaning it myself. There is dust crumbs and debri everywhere as if the interior has never been touched. I only went so many times because other car washes seem so far away. Guess Ill be driving 30 mins to my next car wash In Capitola.

It is a good place and certainly fun to have a cup of Joe while watching how do they labour over your car... Once I saw a cop drinking coffee there but no donuts, I suppose thats because this is in Santa Cruz. The place is not very good with details: they dont clean the door hinges, the gas tank cap from the inside, etc...

These guys did what Id call a great job, my car was a mess and now its looking good as new, impressive for a 21 year old Cadillac. Only thing is they didnt clean out the trunk, and they service could have been friendlier. Other than that, they got my paint and carpet in great shape in a timely manner.
