Update: Issue Resolved! -- Original Post: I have been coming to this shop location for a while now and have done several major services. I have even recommended and know a lot of my family and friends came here because of my recommendation. I came here requesting for an oil gasket replacement and my whole interaction was with "Armando" which I have dealt for the first time and is the major source of the issue. He quoted me the price for the oil gasket replacement and added an oil change since he said they need to flush all the oil out. I waited in the lobby and after a few minutes he said are you ready for some bad news? I said, what is it? He said that the entire oil pan needs replacement because whoever did my last oil change stripped the drain plug, I asked how much will it be now and he said, I will look at the pricing, give me a moment. While he is doing that he is also helping a few more customers. So I went outside the lobby door to call the Nissan Service to notify them that I was told by "Armando" that they (Nissan) caused the oil pan damage due to stripping the drain plug, Nissan asked me to have the car driven to their service center which is just across the street. When I came back in, I asked "Armando" how much is the whole oil pan cost and quoted the price. I said, well, I have to drive my car back to the dealership because as what you told me they stripped the drain plug which caused the whole oil pan to need replacement when I was only recommended for a gasket replacement. So I will have to go to Nissan and let them have a look and fix the problem. The amount of how much I would have been charge at the Nissan service center and at Midas was similar but I chose to go to Midas to have my repairs done since Ive been coming here. "Armando" then said, "Well, I cannot give you back your vehicle because we already bended the oil pan so we need to do the job and the longer that we wait and if it cannot be done today we will charge you additional fee everyday the vehicle will stay here". So this is when the whole argument started, when he also insisted that I approved for the oil pan replacement. I did not even signed any paperwork approving for that and I ONLY asked how much it will cost for the oil pan. It is also the first time I encountered where I was told "you need to approve the job because we already started it!". I was humiliated while at the shop for the very first time in my whole life and he made me felt that it is unfair for the shop. I only asked for a gasket replacement and I am willing to pay for that when you tell me that I need the entire oil pan replaced, I did not approve, since I wanted to have it taken back to the Nissan service center to be looked at and hopefully fix the problem since "Armando" said whoever did my last oil change caused this problem BUT to tell me "I cant put your vehicle back together if you dont approve for the entire oil pan to be change", that is entirely a whole different story. And to add how he made remarks about me, how he is uncomfortable to do the job now because he felt that I am not being fair to the shop, how was I not being fair? I just wanted you to put the vehicle back together so I can drive it across the street to the Nissan Service Center and charge me what I came here for in the first place (Oil Gasket). "Armando" making all the remarks had made me felt humilated in public among other customers and other shop employees and I have never ever experienced this in any establishment. Especially, when I have been a good and loyal paying customer! Forget excellent customer service, at least give me HUMAN COURTESY and/or DECENCY!! It is sad how this one staff has done so much damage on my overall experience with Midas. I will definitely have it known that this Midas location has a staff that has an insulting way of communicating to a loyal paying patron. I hope management can contact me to have this resolve, I would hate to have the confidence and relation I have with Midas just go down the drain, all because of this horrifying incendent.

This Midas is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. This location was closed for almost 8 months and just recently reopened. I decided to give them a try. I brought my car for air condition repair. Manager was very friendly. He explained in detail what was a problem and how much it will cost after checking out my car. I got dropped back at my work place in their free shuttle service. They promised me my car back in 2-3 hours and they did call me back in around 2 hrs. They asked me if I needed a ride back but I declined and my friend drop me there. On my arrival, they explained me all the work done. and promptly finalize my bill. The cost was almost half of what it would have cost me if I have taken it to dealer. New Owner personally came out and asked me if I was satisfied. I also got some coupons for next time. I am definitely a satisfied customer and I will come back here again for brakes for my second car. In fact I am going to recommend it to my friends and family. I am so glad this location reopened under new management.

I went to Midas as my car had vibrations at high speeds (>60mph). I took an appointment before going there, yet I was made to wait for 1.5 hours early morning. After this, they came up with a report stating, struts needs to be changed, Tyres need replacement ( the tyres are <6 months old) and Steering nuckle needs replacement. They could not give an estimate for this as these parts were out of stock. I called Midas several times after that to get the estimate. Even after 10 days, they failed to provide an estimate. When I went there after 10 days and demanded an estimate, they said they can orally say that structs would cost $1200 and they dont know about the others. I took my car to another local mechanic and he just adjusted the shock absorbers. The car is running absolutely fine now. I realised Midas sunnyvale people are just after money and they would give all false reports to charge you. So, my recommendation, "Never Go here".

Wow lets see.......I work as an apprentice mechanic so Im not inept just wanted QUUCK & to hear what their 45 point inspection turns up, for 19 bux on groupon lolol ugh wtf....so oil light ON they cant turn it off. The lights work, horn goes BEEEP, but cant see the upper radiator hose that was about to explode, but can see a BARLEY CRACKING BELT...ohh ya 200 dollar repair. Had an appointment but it still took OVER AN HOUR. If I was a person that didnt look under my hood after the job and took their evaluation my radiator hose would have popped with in weeks. Beware check other peoples work trust no one, if even if you dont have a clue what your looking at, that hose was so bad and swelled my 8yr old son could have seen it. Good luck
