Came here as a 16 year old kid and the owner took advantage of me. He told me the screw for my oil pan was stripped when Im sure it wasnt. He said if I want to get the oil change, instead of charging the $15 stated sign on front of the building, he was going to charge me $35 for the oil change since my car wasnt the right size and $80 to replace the plug/screw. So I asked him to simply put it back in and Ill get it done somewhere else. He said either pay up the $115 or I would have to tow my car to where ever I want within the next 30 minutes before they tow it and I would have to pay over $200 for the tow . So I walked to the closest ATM which wasnt even my bank paid a fee on top of the $115 to pay the owner before he followed through with towing my car. This is the type of place you will always here horror stories about. If you want good service where the owner isnt trying to take advantage of your kids or yourself I suggest finding a new shop.

I dont understand the negative reviews. These guys always fit me in and work with my schedule. Whenever I come in, they always know who I am, ask about family, etc. They only do the services I ask and call me if theres something extra. Case in point, I had a broken visor mirror on the drivers side for MONTHS before I finally asked them to fix it. They told me where to order the part myself to save $50. I didnt have the time, and they gave me the discount anyway. Nice guys! They always go the extra mile - they have even allowed me to leave fliers for a local charity and always call me when my car is ready or if they find more problems (but let me know if that is something that can or cant wait). When something goes wrong with my car, Mike, Moe, and Dave at Meineke Torrance are the FIRST people I call. Thanks guys! You rock!

I visited your shop at Torrance California to do oil change and change my breaks pads. it took more than 3 hours(I had appointment!) and after I left the shop I realized one of my hub caps is missing. I contacted them and they told me it is not there and they will contact me about compensation. but after few days they left me a message on my phone that they check the camera and it shows when I left, it was still on my tire! even if it is true, it means they did not a good job securing the part in place! how in the world it is possible, that it never came off in 6 years that I am driving this car and then it happens right at the same day that I change my breaks pads?! anyway, I it was so disappointing for my first visit from Meineke and I will never go back. I prefer to pay little extra and deal with more responsible people.

Brought the car in to this Torrance meineke two days apart, charged $80 each day for diagnostic scans. Changed out 2 sensors and 1 flex pipe in July 2013 ($1,000 total). By Jan 2014, sensors failed and loud rumble (flex pipe) came back. Less than one year later had to go to another mechanic for the EXACT SAME SERVICE ($600 this time). The new mechanic handed me a rusted, battered flex pipe and was quite skeptical that it was new when installed on my car. No warranties, no help, no stars. A private meineke or something, so corporate wouldnt help either. Save your money and take it some place else.

Thanks to these great guys for reviving my car to near-new performance. I was really worried that the grumbling noise was the last leg of my nice car (well 128K miles should not kicking the bucket YET). But I knew that these guys know cars well. So, it was not the engine main bearing, but the front wheel bearings, and loose suspension bushings... These guys got right to it, and got my car cruizin smooth again, like when I bought it. What a difference! Even my wife dares to drive it now. THANK YOU guys for a great job, and the manager for making it affordable :)

bought voucher off groupon for oil change and tire rotation (13.99$) ( i was charged an extra shop fee of about 3$ and I brought a factory oil filter in for them to use instead of using the ones they provide) etc. the employees were nice, and there was really no wait other then the time it took for them to do the services. went on a friday expecting a long wait ! was in and out about 45 minutes.. its been about two weeks and i have had no problems with the oil.. (some places over torque the bolt and cause leaks etc) Thank you I will be back!

Dont be a sucker and come here! I came here before and they said they couldnt do the Groupon because it was too close to closing. They dont honor their appointments at all. I got there ten minutes after my scheduled time and because of that I have to wait two hours or more for an oil change! Thats ridiculous. Ive come here twice and left with no oil change and you expect me to come back? The guy had the nerve enough to say as I was leaving next time be on time! Terrible!

I went there for cheep oil change ($12.99) and ended up spending two hundred thirty dollars. They broke the oil pan bolt during oil change and charge me for it. I could not move my car from their shop. Only option was to tow it away. So watch out for cheep thrills by this shop.

I have always come here on a Sunday. They always take a long time to just change oil even though there arent a lot of cars being serviced. Minimum wait is at least 1hr 30min. I only came here because i bought a groupon.

This place is garbage. $20 to take off and re-mount my leaking tire which continued leaking after the service. Just dropped my car off at Big O - hopefully Ill have better luck there.
