I hardly know where to start. Fresh out of college, alone in a new city and very far from the magical powers of Dad to fix car problems, I limped my poor car into the shop when it decided that it didnt want to shift up further than first gear. I called ahead, and Ron, despite having a busy schedule and closing at 5:30, made some time for me after I got off work at 5:00. I was hoping for one of the plug-in diagnoses, but his guys opened it up and gave it a very thorough diagnostic before letting me know the transmission needed to be rebuilt. He quoted me a price and was very kind in allowing me to leave the car there while I decided what to do and came up with the money to pay for the work. While the work was going on, Ron exhibited no less patience than a saint when I called, sometimes multiple times a day, to get updates. He held his shop open an extra half-hour while I waited for a ride home. He answered the phone after their posted hours because he recognized my number and wanted to make sure everything was OK. Just a really stand-up guy. This was honestly the nicest, most straightforward transaction Ive ever had with a mechanic - kind of a rarity when it comes to car repair and car repair for women in particular. The price he quoted me was after tax and out-the-door. Nothing sneaky, nothing extra. I did not feel at any point like I was being talked down to, misled or treated with anything but sincere respect. I will absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs work done and appreciates exemplary customer service.

First off, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!! I took my 2004 Audi A4 in to them to have a seal and pump replaced. Joe (the manager) quoted a price and told me if I gave him a good review on Google he would give me a discount. He (Joe) told me it would take 4 days to fix because it was going to take 2 days to get the part in so I left it for them to fix. They (Joe) kept giving me a run around around for 5 more days because they was backed up and he was minus a mechanic. When I went to go get my car (that was still broke) on the 6th day Joe said that it would be ready by the end of the next day which it was (so I thought) I ended up having to pay almost twice as much (2,800) as I pulled out into traffic my car was sluggish and wouldnt shift. I went straight back to have Joe tell me that I needed a sensor and I would have to go buy it from the Audi dealership. I went and got the part, and took it to Joe. He said he would have it done in 2hrs. I returned to pick up my car and Joe said it wouldnt be ready for 5 more days. I took my car back and had to argue to get my recipe from him. As myself and my friend was leaving Joe was cussing at us and trying to fight both of us because I told him Im going elsewhere.Worst experience ever!!! Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!

My Car was there for June 16, 2017 until August 2nd then I had to return it August 7th ( they said the could not get back to it until then). They told my son they need permission to work on it and so they needed a birth date. He gave them that since I was in the hospital having surgery. Then once I was out of the hospital they told me they were working on the financing dont worry about it they would have it ready within a week. Since I could not drive i was patient. Then once they got it financed they told me again one week. I finally got a fixed car on August 9th. The worst part is my first payment for the financing was due on August 8th. Can you imagine paying $4200.00 to get your transmission fixed and going through all that. Oh they said they gave me a 300.00 discount and they fixed my gear shaft (it was too lose when they originally gave me the car) for free. They dodged my phone calls. I would call them and no-one would answer so I would borrow someones phone and call and they would answer. You decide if you want to take your car there. I told you my story!

These guys were not helpful at all. We took our car to them to get a diagnostic for a transmission solenoid so we could find out how much it would be to fix our car. They kept the car for 5 days only to tell us that we had to take our car elsewhere because they dont have the equipment to diagnose for emissions. We expressed that we wanted the TRANSMISSION fixed which is what they supposedly specialize in and all we were told was to take it to a tire shop where they could diagnose. Pretty ridiculous that a NATIONAL CORPORATE FRANCHISE who advertises for free diagnosis cannot tell us how much it would be to fix the car nor take any extra efforts to ensure that they make a satisfied customer. Ron Howard (the manager) just kept telling my husband that they did diagnose it and that they have nothing to report back and kept dismissing him saying "we are dealing with this lady" talking about me. Im sorry to rant but if you truly dig into this company/franchise overall you will see that a bad experiences are abundant and their reputation is terribly overstated.

Randy and his team at AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care are a rare breed. Not only do you get honest service, you get quality service. I was in need (and do I mean NEED) of getting my front breaks serviced. He was completely honest with me and I was treated with respect. He let me choose the parts I wanted, and explained both thoroughly. For me, and I am sure most of you, that is very important. As an average consumer, I do not want to be hassled with, nor do I want to deal with someone trying to take advantage of me. If you want the type of mechanic that you can recommend to your friends, and a mechanic that does high quality work; take the time and head over to Colfax and give Randy a visit at AAMCO. You will not regret it, and in fact, you will be very glad you did. Thank you again Randy for you and your team doing such a wonderful job and even going out of your way to help me out. I am sure you take pride in the work you do, and you should! You are awesome! I now know who I need to call for car service! :-)

This week, I was provided with excellent service at your garage, and I truly appreciate it. As a single woman, I can tell you that the prospect of having to spend thousands of dollars, according to estimates Id received elsewhere, was a dim one. Thankfully, I decided to opt for one more professional opinion before having my car repaired. Your mechanics discovered that the real problem was due to a defective relay switch, and were able to replace it for an affordable price Needless to say, I breathed a sigh of relief! After Joe has taken over this AAMCO I can finally know that my work will no longer take a year to be completed. Thank you Joe and all of your new staff!
