DONT RELAX THEY WON’T TAKE IT FROM HERE... I had a hail claim back in June and took my vehicle to Alpine Auto Carstar, as of writing this review on 09/28/2012 I am still waiting for my car to be fixed CORRECTLY. I took my 2006 Kia Sorrento to the Aurora Carstar on 4th Ave, after a day or two they called me and informed me that the damage to the roof and the hood were so substantial that they would be replacing them. When I spoke to Wayne Houston who is the shop manager about the amount of damage and that I was worried about a CARFAX report impacting the value when I go to trade my vehicle in, Wayne Houston told me that I shouldn’t worry that they do not have a connection to CARFAX. Which I found out is a lie just Google CARFAX and read how they get their information. After weeks of no communication I called the shop, they told me that the vehicle was being prepped for paint and should be done very soon. The next day I drove by the shop to find my car sitting in their back lot with not hood, roof or glass in the car, this obviously is why there were discrepancies in the final paint work. I finally got a call to pick up my car, when I got to the shop I found that there was two different colors of black paint and that the clear coat was not consistent over the entire vehicle. Wayne Houston informed me that their shop did not have a way to match the factories orange peel so they “blocked out” the entire car. My car then looked like it was all wavy down both sides. I told the shop I was not going to accept the quality of work and Wayne Houston told me that they would fix the issue. Another week and a half later I get a call that the vehicle is finished and ready to be picked up. When I got to the shop I found my car covered in rain, so I really could not inspect the quality of work. The next day I find bubbles in the paint along with swirls from where someone who had no idea what they were doing, buffed my car to “fix” the issues. I called and was told that I should take my vehicle to the Carstar Shop on Jordan rd, because the same person owned both shops. I went down there and Garry Boesel the owner of the shop met with me, he was very apologetic and said he would look the entire car over and fix all issues. Another week went by and Garry Boesel called I went to the shop and looked over the car and found the work to finally be to the quality I expected the first time. Now to my new issue, this week has been a very rainy week and I get into my vehicle to find that my headliner is saturated and there is water dripping on me. I would have taken my vehicle to any other shop, however all shops in the area are booked until the end of October. Now the fourth time to the shop and I hope and pray that they can get my vehicle completed. If you’re looking for a body shop whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO EITHER THE AURORA SHOP OR THE SHOP ON JORDAN. Both shops receive the same training so it is my opinion that incompetence is strong at both. Don’t let their little cards hanging on the wall fool you, I never received one because they only post their “good” reviews.

Farmers sent me to Alpine/Carstar body shop for some front end damage. They had the car for a week, it was about $2500 worth of damage. When I picked up the car, Michael did the walk around with me. As soon as I walked up to the car, I notice a part of the grill falling off the car. Michael took the car back into the garage to fix the grill. A few minutes later, came back out and continued the inspection. It looked like it was fixed. After getting home, I inspected the car more in depth. I notice the hood wasnt in alignment, that turned into the headlight being off. Took the car back to alpine and let Michael know. He assured me several people inspected the car. The car was 100%. Took my car to the dealership and right away they said it was off. The dealership suggested I take it to another Carstar. I took it to the next closest Carstar and right away they saw the problem. When they open the hood, they even pointed out screws that were not fastened. They told me they would fix the issue, shouldnt take more than a hour. Two hours later, they couldnt figure out the problem. They needed to disassemble the front. After a week, I was told something wasnt fixed from the accident. There was a bent fender bracket that wasnt replaced. So either the "inspectors" didnt do their job correctly or they dont do what they say theyll do. I wasnt able to work for a week, due to the screw up with my car. They wanted to compensate me $300 for the week. Thats not even minimum wage. They didnt make things right after they failed to do the correct work on my car. Avoid this place like the plague.

From the day of my first visit to obtain the estimation for repair of my vehicle, everything went smoothly and was handled professionally. Danny contacted the Insurance Agent and obtained approval for the costs of necessary repairs. I then set an appointment and was not inconvenienced in any way. The front office staff was always cordial and polite and interested in serving my needs. I could see the daily progress being done to my car during the repair process and was happy that the repair took a minimum of time -- just about 6 days to be exact! My car was hit on the left side and the dent was an eye-sore and the metal was actually rubbing against my back tire which could have been or even caused a driving hazard. Danny answered all of my questions and maintained constant contact with me after I took the car in. Danny promised that the car would be restored back to its original condition, including the proper blending of the paint. After repairs, when I arrived to pick up my car, I was very pleased that everything turned out extremely well. I was more than pleased that my car had been restored to its original state before the accident and it was impossible to tell that the car had been hit at all! I would not hesitate to recommend CARSTAR or visit them in the future in the event of a similar occurrence. Danny made me smile and I am very appreciative of the level of service provided and the quality of work experienced! Thank you so much! I recommend CARSTAR highly!

I recently had my truck in at Carstar for some repairs after a lady T-boned my truck. The insurance company contacted me and I got my truck in to Carstar that same day. I was in and out in my rental car with in about 30 minutes, all the staff was very friends courteous and helpful. A couple days later I got a call from Carstar with the total cost of repairs on my truck and an estimated completion date. During the whole repair process I got text notifications on the progress of the repairs and an updated time and date when repairs were expected to be completed. After about a week or so I got a call informing me that my truck was ready for pick up (Hours ahead of the originally scheduled pickup time). I dropped the rental off and a gentleman was ready to inspect the truck with me. I found absolutely nothing out of place, color mismatch or anything I could complain about. The gentleman inspecting the truck with me noticed some tree sap on the newly pained bed fender and immediately took the truck back sore some one to buff that off for me. I was very pleased with how this repair was handled, how I was treated and the outcome of the repair. They also detailed the truck before pick handing it off to me. This was by far the best repair I have had done on any of my vehicles and I will definitely support them again should I be in need of vehicle repairs in the future.
