I have worked with this location for many years now. I can change my own oil, and often do. However, if I dont get the upgrades they offer, it often costs me only $5 to $10 more than the parts would to do it myself. In addition, if you bring in additives to put in, they will use those. Most places will only allow you to use items that they have sold you at a rather steep mark up. They will work with you, and I do think they sincerely aim to please. I am not a certified mechanic, but I do understand a fair amount. I have changed major components, even front spindles and exhaust systems, although I am not inclined to do those sort of things on my own if I can afford to have someone competent do it for me. I do understand their explanations, and they are willing to talk with me about the pros and cons of changing this or that. In that respect, I may have an advantage that facilitates my trust. I am going in to have my rear brakes done today. I know that I can bring in my own pads, which are already covered by Auto Zone, and they will give me my used pads back. I will need one caliper replaced, and would do both if I could afford it, but know that I can bring that part in, too, and they will use it. Normally, I do my own brake work, but this is beyond what I want to do, and bottom line is that I trust them. I have had problems in the past, and most everyone does with car repairs, but they always made things right if they steered me wrong. I have had no bad experiences that I did not eventually feel they were willing to make right. I contrast that with other places that are supposed to be nothing but repair shops -- some of them are not so good. I have had nothing but good experiences with this shop, and unless they really change for the worse, I will continue to use them. I do use Keller as well, but Keller is almost always more expensive. This shop doesnt mind if you shop around, and I am the person who will do that every now and then to validate that I am getting a good deal. I suggest you do the same. It would not surprise me if you find this shop to be as good a deal as I have. And check with BBB. If a shop has a lot of complaints, I would not suggest them.

Racing to the finish line should be done on race tracks, not public roads. Coming home from the airport this morning was a near death experience. This may be due to one driver, but based on what drivers of other tow companies have told me, the company policies most likely provide financial encouragement for this behavior. Driving south on Airport Boulevard near Alameda, I had the displeasure of driving alongside "Puddin". How do I know it was "Puddin"? He nearly side-swiped me numerous times, so I got to see that name up close and personally on his front right hood more than I would have liked. At almost 5am, I was a little shocked to see all 3 lanes had 3 deep traffic in them, but all of the traffic was moving fast and efficiently. (Ill exercise my 5th amendment rights rather than say how fast we were all driving.) Apparently, it was not good enough for "Puddin" to drive fast enough for a 4 point speeding ticket. This driver was repeatedly jumping lanes so fast that the car he was towing looked as if it would fall off the side of the truck if it had not been chained down. I can only imagine how much wear and tear those chains had on that poor car. After nearly crushing all of the drivers in the pack, everybody cleared to let "Puddin" through. Upon release from the pack, "Puddin" accelerated to approximately 70 miles an hour in this 40 mile an hour stretch of road and maintained that speed as he left my line of sight ahead of us. The driver may or may not have been friendly to the cars owner when they met, but I can assure you that this driver did not give the slightest bit of care over how the car was being treated while it was in finish lines possession. If that had been my car on the back of that tow truck, I would be livid and be demanding a refund.

Ive struggled for a long time to find a good, reputable shop that would help me keep my car going. I went to these guys after some recommendations and an affordable quote on my Alternator. I pre-paid them for the repair in case I came back after they were closed then left, I got a call that night that they tested the alternator and it tested OK so they decided not to do the replacement and would refund me. Of course, the finicky way alternators are, it ended up being that, but then they had it swapped out in an hour when I went back! Most shops Ive been to would have just done the swap anyway, but they were honest enough to not want to do a repair that they werent sure I needed. Their prices are quite reasonable, they know their stuff, and can get parts and repairs done faster than most places Ive ever seen. Then, add onto all of this that they also warranty their work, AND will accept a part you bring in yourself, they still warranty their labor here, but if you use their parts, theyll directly warranty them for you, which was handy when I bought a battery from them and they could just swap it on the spot when my alternator killed the original one Id bought from them. I HIGHLY recommend these guys to ANYONE thats been taken advantage of, they cant do every single repair, but they can do almost anything and have gained my trust.

Lanny and his team there has been taking care of our cars for as long as they have been there. It all started with an oil change. I feel they are honest, telling me which repair suggestions can wait, and which cant. They show me the damaged/ defective parts right there, before I leave them the car. They have honored warranty parts/ work within the year, and I have had the bad luck to need and appreciate that. They have also had me bring in the dealers repair estimate and bettered the pricing. When we were looking for a new "used" car, they went over our choice from hood to exaust pipe, and let us know if anything was wrong. When they cant do the work, they refer me to someone who can, and most of the time the referrals are great. The waiting room is clean, and they do offer a loaner, which I used once and it was clean too.

Was in there last week and got a basic high mileage oil change, peak I believe is what the guy told me, anyways got the oil change done everything was fine. The lobby was covered in popcorn so wasnt the cleanest. Before leaving I noticed some small drops coming from the bottom, they told me it was from them spraying down the oil that got on stuff down there when taking the oil filter off. I take my car home and check it out myself ,come to learn that I never even got a filter replacement like they said came with it! Im not sure what kind of business they are running up there but its not all that great of service. Disappointed. now Ill have to go to a chain lube center now
