It goes like this Myself and a roommate had a unit here for approximately 8 months. After 4 months I relocated out of state and turned the unit over to my roommate. After speaking with the counter person I was instructed to complete the necessary documents in order to be released of any future liability. The counter person was very helpful, as I was in the process of moving out of state that very same day. I was assured this was all I needed to do in order to be released of any liability. As a good measure I called a few days later to confirm everything was good and was told everything had been taken care of. 4 months later I get a certified letter stating they were going to file suit against me, due to unpaid charges (keep in mind I had no calls, no letters, no notices at all prior to this). Obviously I was shocked they were trying to sue me! I called immediately, and found out the business had sold to a new management company and the new owners would not be honoring the release given by previous. Though I was disappointed I understood. After talking to the counter person I was told I would need to talk the manager Michele to resolve the issue. I had no idea what I was in for. After calling repeatedly I finally got a hold of Michele, and she was the complete opposite from the her employees. Michelle was an absolute customer service nightmare, argumentative, rude, and 100% disrespectful. All I wanted to do was apologize for my roommate who had not been paying and resolve the issue. Michelle stated she would prefer if the unit were not paid up to date and the belongings in the unit could be sold at auction. WOW! I explained to her that would not be necessary as I would take full responsibility for any fees and get the belongs removed asap. After sending certified funds overnight my 75 year old uncle showed up to clean out the unit. Michelle proceeded to yell, scream, and shout everything but obscenities at him. Who does this to a 75 year old man? I have a small business myself, so I do understand how these situations can happen. However, customers should never be talked to this way, let alone a 75 year old veteran! Never again would I do business here!!

The storage unit itself was okay. I felt pretty secure leaving my belongings there. Reasonably priced compared to other locations. But I guess you get what you pay for. HELL IN A HAND BASKET when it comes to functioning. They changed the times of operation without telling me, and I had just moved back to CO and my keys were in the unit (I had to rent a hotel to stay at that night.) ... They billed me for an extra month, even after I had notified them to end my contract. Then, they refused to work with me, and fought me every step of the way. They insisted that I had to fill out a certain form, even though I was told that simply emailing would take care of it. I am very very disappointed in this company and I will be ACTIVELY advocating for people to avoid this storage rental.

All of the neighborhood self storage are connect in the Denver area. Do NOT rent a spot to park a vehicle at the one in Elizabeth/Parker. The gates are left open and stuff is stolen. Our van was broken into and tools were stolen. Nothing was done by management and they were rude to both me and my husband. Michele, the manager, will continue to talk down to you and yell about the contract that is complete BS. Justin who sets up the contract will lie about their insurance covering your stuff. Do Not rent from them you are just throwing your money away. Might as well leave your stuff outside of Walmart, it would be safer.

I have my items at Neighborhood Self Storage on Smoky Hill Road and I cannot say enough about the staff. I stood in line while some woman absolutely berated an employee and then the manager Michelle. For 45 minutes this when on all the while Michelle was calm and courteous. Finally this woman was finished her temper tantrum and stormed out in a huff. The staff was visibly upset at the horrible things that were said to them, but they thanked me for my patience and helped me with great ease and professionalism. My business is staying with this company!!

Whoever wrote their legal documents is a hack, they have the same paragraph for accepting auto payment and declining it in their contract and a lot of blurred lines on their wording. I have also seen multiple cars enter after 1 scan multiple times. They just raised the rates for no reason other than that their facility was now fully occupied. Its close and convenient but thats about it, looking at other options.

Cant even call these fools a real company. Owner is a joke who thinks he knows everything but is actually worthless. Their security doesnt work right 75% of the time and they have hidden fees they charge u with each month. You could get a box and write storage on it and that already is nicer than what you get at this run down crap shack.

Great experience all the way around. Staff is super friendly! Bad situation having to put all our belongings in storage to begin with, but Michele, Kristin & Trish made it super easy and stress free! Prices beat everyone around. Secure facility with gated access. Lots of choices in the area, but they are the friendliest by far.

VERY nice staff and easy to communicate with! I was dropping off my Penske truck & trailer and couldnt have been treated more fair. After a grueling experience with the rental, my equipment return was excellent! Although I didnt rent a unit here, the customer service should be noted. Thanks so much for being customer focused!

Ive been with Neighborhood Self Storage for 4 yrs. On Smokey Hill and my experience with the security and with the staff is wonderful. The staff is always there when I call and always very pleasant. Very conveniently positioned off of a major road, easy access to E470, SH83, and across the street from several favorite "thanks for helping me move my couch, let me buy you a burrito/pizza/sandwich/six-pack" places. Very friendly management who will work with you to get you what you need.

Im a current customer and very happy with the price and condition of the storage unit. I saved over $40/mo. for same size unit. I like to support local family owned businesses also, public storage didnt plow the ice and snow either, which they do here.
