took my car in for a simple alignment and of course they had a ton of other things they said was wrong. Struts was the number 1 thing, not having money to replace both struts I replaced the worst one first and had planned on taking it back for the second as soon as I could, however upon leaving my car pulled worse than it did before I took it in and started making this weird noise I have never heard before. Called the store and was told it was because it was new and that is why it pulled more. After a few weeks when the noise continued to get worse I physically drove to the store where a tech went for a drive & without looking physically at the car told me it was something completely different. I then called and spoke with a really nice older gentleman named Vince, he asked if I could come in and he and I went for a drive together where he felt yes it was the strut they put in. So left my car for a full 24 hours only to be told once I had to arranged people to take me that my car wasnt ready and that had to order a part from Volkswagon and they would need to keep my car for another 24 hours. Once i received the call the my car was ready I then arranged for someone to go with to pick up the vehicle only to discover they lost my wheel lock key after 40 minutes of searching for it to locate it under my back rear seat, oh and of course a list of things around $1500.00 that they said was super important to get taken care of instantly. Once I got in my vehicle my car made the worse noise ever, manager had already left for the day so I had to call next morning only to be told by him that it was the because the other strut needed to be fixed & that basically I was wrong where I was hearing the noise coming from. Called a different just brakes and that manager was willing to listen and look at my car even though his shop didnt do the work, only to discover that this praticular shop used the wrong strut on my car causing the noise. He replaced it at his shops cost with no complaint. Would never recommend this just brakes to anyone, even though it is a far drive customer service is 100 times better at the Leetsdale store!

I wrote the post on 10/22/14 on yelp but they deleted it... It makes me sad to write this because the guys that work here seemed very nice and trustworthy... I was wrong. We took our car in because it died while driving. They said the timing belt snapped so they fixed it for $1,200. Well after they fixed it they found more problems (which I understand happens 90% of the time when your timing belt snaps) and they basically needed to rebuild the engine and it would cost a few thousand more. We decided to just purchase a new car. Well, we sold our old broken car on craigslist and the man that bought it fixes up cars and sells them as a side job and we gave him all the invoices we have had from breaks plus (we have been going to breaks plus for 2 years) The man we sold the car to gave me a call a few days later to kindly tell me not to take our cars to breaks plus anymore because they were "screwing us". They told us that they need to replace both heads in the engine but really only one needed to be replaced.... they also said they replaced the spark plugs but the guy said they have not been replaced since the car was made!! I dont like to write bad reviews about places... in fact... this is the first time I have ever written a online review. Like I said before, this makes me sad to write but I dont think its fair and I want to make sure others do not get "screwed". After I told them that we would be selling the car, I told them that I trusted them, was thankful for them and that we would be back.... Not anymore... Sad day..

Id give them 10stars if I could! My car was making an awful squeal and shake when I applied the brakes. Dont know too much about cars and dread the idea of getting ripped off by any shop but couldnt take it anymore. Came in and talked with George who offered to take a look at my brakes for free! In what seemed like only 10 minutes he offered to show and explain exactly why my car was making and acting weird. Turns out I needed front brakes and a brake flush. My car has some miles in it and Im sure any other shop wouldve taken me to the cleaners but he took the time to explain and provide information as to why he was recommending certain repairs. He even gave me a written estimate and helped me sort them out by priority and which repairs I would be safe holding back on. And even things even better they dropped me off and picked me back up as soon as my car was ready!! They restored my faith in auto shops and Id send my mother back for any service.

Came in with a coupon that said $49.50 for front or rear brake pads, resurfacing rotors, and installation included. Asked for exactly that and said I wanted the $49.50 deal. After a 2 hour wait, mechanic says I need more done...I decline as Im tight on cash and just needed my brakes replaced at this time. Once theyre done, they tell me I owe $119. They charged me $60 for service, up charged me to the more expensive brakes even though I specifically asked for the cheaper ones, and added a service (ratcheting caliper), that I did not ask for nor was I even aware about. I am extremely unsatisfied to pay over double what I was expecting. Never coming back and I even made sure to tell them that before I left and the gentleman just continued to attempt defending the mechanic even though he obviously didnt listen to what I had asked for in the first place.

Hello! I have gone to this Brakes Plus approximately 5 years ago with another car and had a good experience. I recently have gone to them a second time and had a good experience. They did work on my car in a professional manner and did it quickly. The serviceman even saved me $40 with an online coupon. I usually do my own maintanence, so I pretty much know what is good service and what is not. My brakes needed changing because they started squealing. I brought my car in. I had them change out the brake pads, change out the brake fluid and adjust/clean out the back brakes. I drove the car......the braking was silent and solid. When I parked the car and applied the emergency brakes, the emergency brakes were solid. I have not taken the wheels off to inspect the work myself, but I will just for good measure.

Was driving through town and got caught off guard by the normal Colorado potholes. It completely screwed up my alignment and set my steering wheel off center. I had a full day of running errands and with all the driving it would have destroyed my car. Came in intending on just getting a quote to come back another day but George said that if I could give him a little time with it hed get it done and have me back on the road. I left my car with them and walked down the street to grab a bite to eat. Got a call in less than an hour saying it was all ready and was completely blown away at their service and how fast it got done. When I came to pick up my car they even threw in a coupon for the alignment and now my car drives and feels better than before! Thanks George!
