No Integrity. I took my 2011 Subaru Outback to them because it was overheating. At first they could not determine what was wrong so they suggested changing the filters and thermostat and flush the coolant ($250, but totally shooting in the dark). When it overheated again I took it back and they determined that it was a faulty ECM ($850, and said they would guarantee their work if it ended up not solving the problem). My husband specifically asked if they had checked all the other components (i.e. radiator, heads, water pump, electrical system and they said everything else checked out, it was definitely the ECM.) It still continued to overheat so we took it back a third time at which point they said it was a clogged radiator ($500 more even though the owner himself had promised that there would be no charge for this thrid service). It continued to overheat so they finally decided it must be a head problem (that one came with a price tag of over $2000 but they said they would cut us a break and only charge $1700). In the end we took it to a dealer who not only fixed the problem in a single day (under warranty) but mentioned Roos had used the wrong coolant and put in the wrong size filters. When I went back to Roos to let them know they said things like, Sorry, thats really unfortunate, the tech we had working on your car was new, we started using the wrong coolant on purpose because the correct coolant is sooo expensive, etc. I couldnt believe what I was hearing. Again, no integrity and really poor service. If you dont know how to fix a problem, you should say so and not waste everyones time and money. (Oh, I amlost forgot, when they replaced the cars ECM they could not get it to sync with my remote start and just handed it back to me and said, oh well). There was not one thing that they did right.

I have to say Im most displeased. They didnt try to rip me off, and the work they performed was satisfactory. I took my car in to have the AC repaired, expecting the worst and having to have the system replaced. I also inquired about having a fuel injector service done, which they could not perform because they did not have the machine. I asked to have an estimate to have my front bumper repaired, as the car had been in a wreck before I bought it. I asked to have the wheel well put back together in any way convenient (a piece of wire would have worked) to keep the well from rubbing the tire. I also asked to have a mouse nest blown out from under the intake manifold. The only thing they did was repair the AC (Thank you, it works fine), and they saved me some cash by installing a used compressor. They could have cleaned up the freon that was sprayed all over the engine though. They did not provide any estimate on the bumper, Rocky later told me they were not a body shop. I guess they could have told me that when I asked for the estimate. They did nothing with the wheel well. They did nothing with the mouse nest, instead working around it. They did call me to tell me my brakes were bad. I found this really odd, as I never asked about the brakes. How do yo go from AC to brakes? The also replaced an o-ring on the oil cooler. What is odd here is that they said I may have a cracked timing chain cover, but they cant get mine off because it is an H-6. My response was how do they do timing chains then? Reply: We dont get those often, Subarus dont need them. This whole line just does not add up for a Subaru Mechanic. The more I think about this, the more I know Ill not be back. Sorry Rocky

Either incompetent or downright dishonest. I had a 2001 Subaru that I was planning to sell, but it had a gas smell when driving, so I took it in to get that fixed as well as get the car checked out in case there was anything else I needed to do in order to make it safe to sell. Oh, and let me know if the headlight can be repaired, I said. They called back with a list of things that the car needed that was a mile long, and would have cost much much more than the car was worth. "And what about the headlight?" I asked. "Oh, that just needs a new bulb," they said. "No, I told you when I brought it in, I just put a new bulb in it, but the clip will no longer hold tension against the bulb, and Id like to know if it can be repaired." "Oh, ok, well take a look." They called back and said that it couldnt be repaired and that Id need a whole new headlight, it would cost $400. "Why so much?" I asked. "Well, we have to get them from Japan." I had them do the minimal fix to the exhaust system and got my car out of there as quickly as I could. I then went online and ordered two new headlights for $140, and put them in myself. Im incredibly angry that they thought they could pull such a stunt, especially if they were trying to take advantage of me due to my being female! News flash, Im pretty handy and can change my own d*#n headlights if youre going to pull that kind of crap! tldr: If youre female, dont go here. Theyll try to scam you!

Most businesses dont like to do odd jobs or small jobs but Roos Only really helped me out today. I had them press a bad bearing out a steering knuckle I had removed myself from my Subaru. I also had them put in a new bearing I supplied. They called me a few minutes after I dropped off those parts and told me I didnt supply the seals or the ABS tone ring which would be needed for proper install. They said I could drop off those parts if I had them or they could get new seals and a used tone ring for me. I chose the later option without even asking the price. They charged me $138 for the whole shibang which I thought was more than reasonable for that work and the parts they had to supply. I couldnt have been happier with their fast and spot-on service with no hassles like other shops might give me for doing most of my own work but not the little bit I need a shop press for or for having them work on beat up parts (steering knuckle not in great shape but I dont care its a 1995 I just need to get the car running again not a total overhaul). I am surprised by their bad reviews on yelp; the average Google review rating definitely reflects my experience. I wont hesitate to go to them later in the month when I do the exact same wheel bearing replacement on the passenger side of my Subaru.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I brought my 05 Outback in with a gas leak issue as well as a catalytic converter issue. The receptionist seemed very knowledgeable about Subarus and how to deal with these problems. I get a call back the day I dropped it off and they quoted me $2,940 to replace the 3 catalytic converters along with an o2 sensor (For some reason the 05 outback waggon has 3 cat converters in it....). I thought this quote was ridiculous. I took it to another shop that confirmed that it was only one catalytic converter and no o2 sensor issues. The price to fix it was actually at the most $400. Going to another more reliable shop saved me $2,540. I would not take your Subaru to these people since they try to add unnecessary repairs on and overcharge you. Even if you dont get it fixed they will still charge you their $50 engine diagnostic fee since they know you will possibly get another quote and take your car their. The engine diagnostic can be done at any AutoZone or OReillys for free to get the check engine codes. If not there any reliable auto shop would do it for free. It takes seconds to get these codes... Once again, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP!
