Mark and the rest of the staff here have been beyond helpful and honest with every point! I initially took my Nissan Rogue to Lakewood Empire Nissan only to discover with 85,000 miles I needed a new CVT transmission. They quoted me over $4K. Astro Automotive referred me to Cottmans and I took it straight here. I was able to get a used transmission at wholesale price and they replaced it over the weekend for right at $2K. Upon picking up my Rogue this morning, I pulled out of their parking lot, and it started making the same whining/grinding sound along with the slip light coming on. I drove it straight back to Mark and they hooked it up to their computer. Steven and I drove around the block only for the same issue to happen again. This was not the transmission issue, this was separate. In less than five minutes, they determined it needed the brake light switch replaced. The dealership quoted me $125 and Mark and his team are replacing it right now as I wait for $20 and will take them less than 10 minutes! In conclusion, these guys are honest, knowledgeable and have a fast turn around. Im very happy with them and highly recommend Cottmans for any mechanical needs you may have!

I took my Lincoln Aviator in yesterday because it has a "closed" transmission and I cant check trans fluid levels (no dipstick). It felt like the trans was slipping and I thought it was just a fluid level issue. Mark saw me waiting outside before they opened at 8AM and he opened early. They started working on my car right away (fluid checks, ran through the gears, etc). They did not find anything wrong initially - but agreed to check it when hot - so they took it for a 15 minute test drive and then came back and tested it again. Transmission still performed good under analysis - so the issue I had appears to have been a linkage/drive train issue. The reason I am writing this review is that they spent over an hour on my car and I figured they would at least charge me $60 or so for the diagnostic - but they sent me on my way free of charge and told me to call them if it starts acting up again. I most certainly will bring my car back if it has other issues, and I will tell friends to go there as well. Great job to Mark and his entire team of experts. I appreciate your honestly and you have gained a customer for life. Thank you again for the 5 star service.

We had a Ford Explorer at another shop and they gave us a high estimate and a week timeline for a rebuilt transmission. We decided to look at other options so we contacted Mark at Cottman and he reviewed the vehicle and he got us in the same day and it took only 4 business days to repair (along with a 3 year warranty on the transmission) and they were less expensive than the other place too. Mark kept us in the loop with the repair progress and we felt like they took good care of us and the vehicle. I will take all my future transmission needs to them. When we picked up the car we met the owner, Jim, and he gave us his card and said to call anytime we needed something after the fact. We have been driving the car for about a month and it drives like new. Very positive experience!

We drove 19 hours from Ohio to Colorado. As soon as our car hit the mountains the transmission went out. After calling 10 different transmission places, we found Scott. He was out to tow the car within 30 minutes. Checked it out, told us the cost and promised it would be done in time for us to head back to Ohio. He then piled all of our suitcases into his own personal car and drive is to the airport to get a rental car. He went above and beyond in every way and made this transmission nightmare totally bearable! He sent us away on time as promised, within the price range he had quoted, and even looked up the location in Ohio where we would take the car to get checked out under warranty. Great experience. We highly recommend Cottman transmission. And Scott, you are amazing!!

Mark and his staff did an incredible job creating a timeline for a critical repair and affording me the opportunity to understand everything associated with the process; thoroughly. He had no problem working with me, reasoning with my lack of comprehension with intricacies of the automotive and transmission industry and his staff were both courteous and extremely generous. I am more than pleased with every part of the process and I completely understand why this place is so highly recommended and greatly ranked within their specialty. Called this garage because I could feel my transmission slipping. They charged me 60 to bring it in and sent me to an exhaust shop for my 5 year old car saying the transmission was fine. Spent 1000 dollars to fix the exhaust and didt make it home before the transmission blew. The guy was nice, made terrible promises, was not good at his job and referred me to a terribly rude dishonest shop. As nice as he was, I WOULD NEVER GO HERE. If you do hope you have a better experience than I did.

Jackie was polite, knowledgeable, and let me know the best time to bring in my car for service without waiting. I took my car in close to 5 PM on Thursday and Jim called me with status by 9 AM the next morning. Although they spent close to an hour going over all the systems, he said the problem turned out to be quite minor and didnt even charge me. If I ever have a transmission problem again, I will be here in record time. If only all garages gave such wonderful service.

Had transmission for my 1997 Grand Cherokee rebuilt.. great service and communication. Mark was great to work with as well as others who occasionally answered the phone. Perfect results and a fair price. Then asked for a more Jeep Specific modification and they were honest that it was not their specialty and I should go to a specialist.. appreciate steering me in the right direction rather than risking a less than excellent experience. A+++++

3 stars for effort. I realized a lot of walls were hit when they were repairing my transmission. I was stuck 1900 miles from home. But not even 3 thousand miles later my transmission blew. They worked a lot of OT to finish my car and I appreciate the fast work, but not the 4k bill and my tranny only lasting a month. Not fair to give 1 star but cottman is not in my future.

Not knowing who to trust in Denver for a mechanic I was referred to Mark and couldnt be happier with their service and explanation of what was done to my Volvo. I highly recommend Mark and the guys over there with any transmission problems!

Mark at Cottmans on Broadway real went the extra mile in fixing a botched repair job from another shop on my VW Jetta. I was afraid that the car was not repairable and they got it back on the road and shifting like a champ. Thanks.
