I called Paddock Imports to schedule a pre-purchase inspection on a 2011 BMW X5 3.5i in early April, 2016. After speaking to Doug for a few minutes about what type of issues are typical for this model year of an X5, Doug sounded like he operated a well experienced BMW repair shop that would provide me with a worthwhile pre-purchase inspection on this X5 that was being sold by a non-BMW used car dealership that is nearby Paddock Imports. Being unable to get under the vehicle without the benefit of a lift, I felt it was important for a well-experienced independent BMW shop to give me an honest assessment of what the condition of the X5 was before I committed to purchasing the vehicle. On 4/6/2016, the dealer dropped the X5 off at Paddock Imports to conduct the pre-purchase inspection on my behalf (while I was tied up with work meetings). That evening (4/6/2016) Shannon @ Paddock Imports provided me with the results of the pre-purchase inspection. Based on the report and phone discussion that I had with Shannon, it was communicated to me that the vehicle looked good and there were no identified areas of concern (aside from the hail damage that I was already well aware of and the front brakes & fluid change were needed), I decided to purchase the vehicle. After the purchase of the X5, it remained parked in my garage while the replacement hood (for the hail damaged hood) and servicing materials (oil & air filters) were procured, and then taken to an autobody shop for replacement & painting. After getting the X5 back from the body shop, I got the vehicle up on my own ramps to perform the oil change on it. Before I removed the oil pan drain plug, I noticed there appeared to be an oil leak. I called Doug @ Paddock, he had me bring the vehicle back and was very fair with me in getting the oil leak repaired. I cannot say enough about the professionalism Doug exhibited in all of my interactions with him, and clearly customer satisfaction is a priority at Paddock imports! I will be a repeat customer!

I had an issue with the self leveling system on my 2002 X5 4.4. I had previously taken this to another well liked independent shop with great reviews. I called the original shop and they were several weeks out and less than precise when answering my questions. I then went and called several other independent shops looking for an earlier service date and more precise answers to my questions. It was the same wishy washy answers and that is not what you want to hear when asking an expert. Feeling frustrated and out of hope I called a well known outfitter to see if they could possibly help. They did not work on BMW, but referred me to Paddock. I called and spoke to Billy on the phone. He immediately answered every question and assured me they could do exactly what I wanted and quickly. Two days later I walked in expecting to hang out in their lounge for a few hours while they got to my vehicle. Doug immediately walks to the back, grabs the diagnostic and walks out to my car. I was floored. He took the time to explain everything to me and even made small talk that did not at all seem fake. Just a real nice guy helping someone out. Turns out the issue was the previous independent may have made an error in setting the system. He did not bad mouth them or anything just showed me exactly what he saw and why it was there. 40 minutes later I am driving away knowing exactly where I will look the next time I need professional service. Just unreal service.

I cant say enough good things about Doug and his team at Paddock! These guys are honest, kind, and accommodating to a fault. My problem-child of an E46 and the fact that I seem highly accident-prone means that Im a more regular customer than any of us would probably like, but every time Im greeted and treated like a family member or VIP. Id love to say that I was getting special treatment but Ive watched as every single customer who walked through their doors gets treated with the same warmth and recognition. These guys are always willing to go the extra mile and are unbelievably generous with their time and care with customers, theyre never too busy to talk you through your problems, trouble-shoot, or even help you help you disassemble and fold your bike into the back seat when you pick up your car. I recently noticed that last time Id been in for a sensor replacement, theyd neatly bundled up a stray mass of cables under the dash for me, and tightened up a squeaky interior panel without my asking... details that I so appreciated! They always take the time to go the extra mile. So excited for them to be moving into their new space- this team deserve all the business they can handle. Special shout out to Billy and Mat for always making my experience something to smile about!

Wish I had switched from my BMW dealer to Paddock Imports years ago, these guys are amazing. Recommended by a friend, my car was not running correctly and I drove it there on my lunch hour. Billy who runs the front desk, was so helpful in getting me in quickly and once there, having my car looked at immediately. Ryan who worked on it, was a pro, and Doug who owns the company is a great guy. Turns out my car was not fit to even be driven, so they kept it and did the repairs needed and I had it back within two days. What I really liked about the service was that they have a 1-5 rating system for repairs (1 being not necessary yet, and 5 being you cant drive your car now), and they present possible repairs in that light. No pressure at all and they explained everything like I was a family member. They even took me back in the shop to show me what was wrong with my car while it was up on the lift. I trust these guys, and know they arent trying to make unnecessary repairs, because they want to keep me as a customer. I highly recommend having your BMW serviced at Paddock Imports. These guys represent everything I look for in an independent BMW mechanic. The combination of knowledge, passion, and integrity mean so much to me when it comes to servicing my beloved vehicles. In this instance, I was purchasing a 2002 BMW 540i/6M across country, sight unseen. Luckily, a good friend of mine highly recommended Doug and team to do a pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle. Thankfully, I was working with a willingly compliant dealer in town, and Doug was able to diagnose and complete a number of critical repairs prior to my drive home at a very reasonable price. Doug squeezed in a number of critical repairs overnight and met with me on a Saturday, when the shop is closed, just so that I could complete my transaction with the dealer and get home for work and family commitments. It was awesome to have a real enthusiast completing work on my car. I am happy to say that I made the cross-country trip home without drama. This might not have been the case had it not been for Doug & team. I really wish he could service my car regularly! It goes without saying that I highly recommend Paddock Imports for your German auto repair needs!
