I have had this storage unit for about 6 months now. Everyone was very friendly when I was setting up the storage unit and the place is clean and secure; however, I set up autopay when I rented the unit and for some reason that is unknown to the staff the last two months the autopay has failed. The first month I wasnt notified that the payment did not go through and got a phone call after a late charge was assessed and was told they would not reverse the $20 charge, even though I paid immediately upon receiving the phone call. The rep that assisted me said my credit card info that I gave was the same as what they had on file and that it looked like someone put in the wrong expiration date. Now, I am frustrated because I dont know how or why this would happen due to autopay working for the first four months. Today, again I receive a phone call that my payment is delinquent and I will receive a late charge if I do not pay. So as it had been admitted to me that it was their fault, they would not reverse the $20 late fee. This being the second instance they have failed me, I believe it is time to write a review. UPDATE: After I posted this review Amy, the manager, called me and informed me that the $20 late fee had been removed and a credit was posted to my account. She also gave a little extra for the inconvenience I had faced and reassured me that customers are their number one priority. She then followed up with an email and a screen shot showing the credit to my account. Although I may have had a bad experience, Amy did what she could to make it right and as someone that worked retail management for 7 years, I consider this great customer service. Thanks Amy!

Wouldnt recommend this storage unit. I rented this unit before leaving the country for a year. Everything went smoothly and staff was nice and accommodating for moving in but when they rose their prices 10% after 6 months in the unit, I decided I would just move to another cheaper unit. I had my old roommate on the lease since I wouldnt be there to deal with any problems. He went to the unit and they said he wasnt on the lease. I then emailed the facility twice with no response back. I had a family member call and confirm that my old roommate was indeed on the lease. He went back again to which they said he wasnt on the lease and pretty much said there was nothing he could do even though he told them he was in fact on the lease. I then emailed the facility again with no response. I had to contact the corporate offices just to get this situation taken care of. I had to pay an extra month of rent (almost two) and myself nor my roommate dealing with this issue never received so much as an apology. Very unprofessional and unresponsive staff. Tons of storage units in Denver, I would definitely stray from this one.

Ive rented from many companies and would not rent from cube smart again. They bought an existing storage facility where the transfer of ownership was handlers very poorly. Once the transfer was completed I came to the realization cube smart was a poor operator. Under cube smart- There have been homeless people living at this facility numerous times. The new employees have no common sense. They follow directions like a herd of cattle but when you ask them for something simple it over their mental capabilities. The bathrooms are dirty after the cleaning crew just finished cleaning. They do not have enough trollies to move in/out. Their 1 month credit for referring someone is a joke. It ended up being $25 (none of their units rent for $25), my current unit is $138/month and then I could not use it cause I was moving out of the facility the next month. Its a scam for the couple reasons listed above.

I have rented from Extra Space Storage since the first of January 2016. From the first time I visited this location Ive have only good things to say about renting here. When I signed a rental agreement I got my first month totally free, however I needed to purchase a lock. I forgot my wallet at home & the employee that day loaned me the cash. Wow! In nearly 7 months of renting I only have encountered one issue. I left something in the restroom & the office had closed for the day, at which time the restrooms were locked. The manager, Tyler, drove after hours from Boulder to open the restroom & politely declined my offer to compensate him. The units are competitively priced, the building is very clean & everything is in excellent working order. I feel confident that my belongings are safe & secure here. I am very satisfied with my decision to rent from Extra Space Storage!

From the very first phone call, the entire experience with Extra Space Storage on Blake Street has been an extremely amazingly easy and comforting experience. I could not believe how easy they made my move! They are shockingly affordable, clean, secure, climate controlled, easily accessible, and refreshingly accommodating. Between the use of the free moving truck, the comparatively low cost and the extremely professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, personable, and friendly staff you wont find a better storage facility in the Denver Metro area. A friend of mine suggested this place to me and I am eternally grateful to him for it. I have been using them for six almost seven months now and the experience has never wavered if anything it has only gotten better. I have never experienced moving to be so easy . Thank you to all the staff at Extra Space Storage!

Buyer beware. I just received a 26% increase on my rent. I could stomach an increase in the single digits. When you call to discuss, the script that youre fed over the phone is fast, slick and minimizes the fact that your rent is being increased by TWENTY SIX PERCENT. There is continuous construction with closed streets, never enough carts and broken gates. Really sick of being gouged in addition to being inconvenienced. I cant imagine how a 26% increase in rent will affect the homeless population who uses this storage facility as a base for storing their belongings. Maybe that is what the increase is about? Pricing out the homeless population that relies on this storage facility?

Was assisted by both Keegan and the store manager. Both of them really wanted to help. They were both very friendly and professional!! Great customer service. They even let me receive a few deliveries. That was majorly appreciated and made moving in much less strenuous as my stuff was delivered right to my unit. This place is huge and has clean and accessible restrooms. Cameras are everywhere to make sure no funny business goes on lol... Late gate access hours are a major determining factor as to why I rented here. Gates are open till 10 pm. This place is super clean! Very modern. I like the unit too! Just wish they were closer to Cap Hill, but thats not their fault.

Overall clean facility with a few really annoying occurrences. 1) The garage doors seem to be under repair at least once a month due to someone running into it. Not the facilitys fault but still a pain to deal with. 2) As someone has mentioned before, they decided to increase rent 25% with no real rhyme or reason other than they need to keep up with the "increase in demand" around Denver. This just seems like a cash grab to me as nothing has been done to the facility to justify this cost increase. If you are keeping up with demand, how about a slow annual increase to reflect that instead of a blind-sided 25% with 2 weeks notice?
