Had a bad experience that was not handled well by ESS. What happened - I showed up the location ready to drop off a trailer full and two vehicles of household stuff and the lot was completely closed because ESS was putting a topcoat on the asphalt. ESS had the opportunity to manage the vendor and open the second gate so clients could still have access to their units, but they failed to manage the vendor, and the vendor putting on the topcoat put sealant at both entrances. No access allowed. Impact to me - I hired folks to help me move a bunch of stuff, rented a trailer, and took a day off work - total investment for me for the day was over $500. Had to find another unit right away to drop of our goods in transit. ESS response - I can give you $20 off for the inconvenience. Personally, I do not feel a $20 discount is sufficient consideration for a $500+ commitment on my part, especially because ESS was responsible. Tried contacting Chance Nelson the district mgr several times. He returned one call and then ignored me until I told him I planned to post my experience online. Gave him three weeks and three voicemails with the opportunity to respond. But only heard from him after. Facility is nice, seems like a good deal, just needs better oversight so clients are not left high and dry when maintenance is performed. Overall, I am sure the place is fine, but dont expect great customer service. Caution - be sure to call and make sure the facility is open before assuming you can drop off or pick up your stuff whenever you want.

I had the best customer service and was greeted at the door and i loved it, K Tatro was the best she helped me and she explained everything very well as well as giving us a tour. I am a very happy customer and i will start using Exstra Space Storage from here on out for anything i need and i can count on them for a safe and secure place to store my things with out difficulties. There were no hidden fees nothing just simple and plain to the point she knew exactly what i was looking for also got a great deal with them so i highly recommend them any day. Ive been renting here since 2008. For the most part its been a pleasant experince. There are a few things I dont like; the indoor units are not partitioned well, so if someone next to you has a bug or mouse problem you will too. Also, the indoor units have timers on the lights, but the lights never shut off, they could cut the cost of business by correcting this. And last but not least, when I started renting in late 2008 my rent was $56 a month. Less than 2 years later the rent is now $76 per month. Im sure the cost of business hasnt gone up $20 x 200 units.

I give them storage 5 stars because I had been searching for a reasonable storage I been to various ones and I was bout to give up til I finally made one last phone call to see how this facility was and I have to say the staff there was one lady by the name of Kim and she was very friendly and very informative and not lazy like the other storage facilities staff also the unit was very clean I felt comfortable leaving my belongings with facility here on 96 Federal thank u extra space especially kim

Great place to store my extra tools. Ive been looking for a self storage unit for the last 2 weeks for some of my old tools that Ive already replaced. I came across Extra Space and decided to go with them. Their units and facility grounds look very safe and clean. The size of the units themselves is large enough to store all my tools and then some. The price is also great.

I just closed my unit after almost two years. I had an indoor unit and my things were remarkably clean after such a long time in storage. Anthony was a huge help making the move out process as easy and cost effective as possible. I would recommend this facility for anyone looking for a clean, well managed and safe place for your belongings.

This storage facility is the most professional, clean, and upstanding place I have ever come too. Great security, amazing staff, the Manager is always strait forward with you no BS. The Manager also gave me the most amazing experience dealing with a storage facility and I will rent here again and recommend here to all my friends and family.

It was so easy to complete my transaction (most of which I could do on-line before going to sign the documents). The space is kept spotless and Anthony was a joy to work with. I also like the fact that you can pay on-line. I would recommend this space to anyone.

She made sure we had the right size unit and offered a senior discount. Was more than willing to adjust our monthly fee when provided homeowners insurance. This is conveniently located and easy to get into when we need to get things out of our storage.

I like it. Ive had a wonderful experience here thus far. I think the prices are very affordable. Ive had my belongings stored there for a few months and its still in excellent condition with no temperature or humidity damage.

Super safe, decently priced, helpful staff, clean facility, Big door for a small unit, lighted entryways. I like it. I havent had any problems. Late fees are a bit excesive, but ALL storage places late fees are ridiculous.
