About a month and a half ago, my husband and I purchased our first home, and were thrilled when, as a housewarming gift, we were hired movers from Millennium by our family. Everything was all lined up weeks in advance, and we packed up our entire house, ready for the movers to arrive the morning of our move. When their 9am-10am arrival window came and went, we called the office to try to figure out when we should expect them. There was no answer, so we waited just a bit and called back. The person who answered informed us that we had "fallen through the cracks" but that he would work on getting someone to our home to move us. This was at approximately 10:30. We waited, and waited to hear anything back... we finally decided to grab some lunch and move some things ourselves. Even though it was supposed to be MY phone number on the account, I received a call from my family saying that Millennium had just called them to say they would be over asap. We rushed back to our old place, and waited, and waited, and waited. Apparently, this had been a mis-communication, and "asap" to them meant... "at some point, even though we havent really figured it out yet". We called them again around 3pm to express our extreme frustration and to figure out what their plan was. They offered to move us the next day and give us a 5% discount. HA! A $30 discount hardly covered the inconvenience of losing the entire weekend of unpacking and having to move on MOTHERS DAY. I told them so. They backtracked and said that they would work to get a team out today (mind you, its already 3pm). They said that he would work to figure out how many people he could get together so that we could be moved as quickly as possible, then told me that even though he would give us a discounted rate, the rate would still be a higher one than our original quote because there would be more people. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He claimed that he could not tell me how much we would be charged because he still didnt know how many people would be there. I told him that I would not agree to anything until he gave me a proper quote and guaranteed that we would be moved today. He said hed call me back within 15 minutes and that he just needed to figure out how many people he could get. I told him to please call me on MY phone, not my familys, and repeated the number. AN HOUR LATER, he called my family (NOT the number I expressly told him to call an hour earlier), saying that he still didnt have anyone available. We told him to shove it. After that, he recommended another moving company (like we would trust his judgment of decent business practice after this whole ordeal). Even if someone had been able to get out to our house that day, it was already after 4pm, and they had estimated the job to be approximately 18 man-hours. We ended up renting a U-Haul the next weekend. Thanks for making a pregnant woman sleep on the floor for a week. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. Im sure things are just fine when you dont "fall through the cracks," but the true test of any business is how they deal with the situation when it doesnt go to plan. A professional would have called around and hired a team from another company to get us moved the second they knew that they had forgotten us, and they would have made sure that we did not pay the full original quote amount, even if that meant them eating the difference in cost. If they had done that, Id be singing their praises for overcoming a snag and making it right. As it were: they COMPLETELY failed.

I would like to preface this review by saying I have never reviewed a company or product before. However, my experience with Millennium Movers was so poor I feel I have to say something. 1. The movers missed my appointment by 1.5 hours. When I scheduled the appointment, I was not given a window of time for the movers to show up. I was given a specific time. 2. After about 45 minutes, I called the office to ask if the movers were on their way or if I had gotten the time of the appointment wrong. The man I spoke to was one of the rudest professionals I have ever dealt with. He literally said to me "the movers will get there when they get there." No explanation, no apology. 3. When the movers arrived (1.5 hours late) one of the men approached me and laughed about being late. Then he explained to me that he had brought his brother to help with the move. I didnt even get the courtesy of having an actual employee of the company move me. 4. It was obvious that being expedient in the move was not a priority to them. I could have moved my stuff alone quicker than the two of them did together. I have enough stuff to fit in a studio apartment - it should not take over an hour to fill the truck. 5. The appearance of the movers was so alarming. I am not an overly sensitive person - but I was so concerned for my safety that I had a friend stay with me through the whole move process. I would never use this company again and I would never allow any of my friends to use this company. I foolishly agreed to use this company as they were cheaper than another company I have used before. I will never make that mistake again. The whole experience was horrific.

We moved end of April this year. Millennium Movers was really bad experience. I called them, set up an appointment, but them "transfered" it to "Reliable Mover", which was totally "UNRELIABLE". I had such an bad experience, and I actually didnt know that it was not "Millennium". Now Millennium asked me to remove the bad comment, because they "didnt" move me. The question is why they transfer the service to someone without notice me. Can anybody trust them? You call Millennium and setup an appointment, and you end up with some totally unknown mover? The following is about "Reliable Mover", Millenniums partner. The mover "forgot" his tools, refused to move my massage chair. One of their mover was "wasting" time, talk a lot, rather than work. Another one, a young man, had worked since 10pm the night before, and was exhausted. Their blankets was very dirty. The mover didnt know how to set up beds. I was paying them by hours, and they just spend time trying to figure out how to set up a bed. All the furnitures, washer was not put in place. And they refuse to accept check, and raise the price 5% for credit card. They also damage the door and the wall, which they finally fixed later after I complained again and again. I had used "Two men and a Truck" ten years ago, and they were much better.

Millennium movers wrecked our move and our entire weekend. They were supposed to show up between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturday..10 came and went. We called the office and they said they should have been there by now and she would call them. We heard back and she said that the driver would call us. Another hour or so went by and no phone call and no movers. We called back and again and she said she would check on it. Noon came and went and still no movers. We called back again and the office was closed! We had no way of finding out what was going on. They never did show. We had quite a bit to move and had to be out by Sunday. Luckily we found a mover that could come out early Sunday morning (Im going to write a great review for them). Not only did Millennium screw up our Saturday, but now we were a day behind and we ended up scrambling till 11 p.m. on Sunday night trying to get the last bits out...things we should have been doing Sunday morning with no stress. I will NEVER recommend these guys and if anyone asks me if I know of a good mover I will definitely tell them to NOT USE MILLENNIUM!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unreliable and unprofessional, horrible. I wouldnt give them any stars but this system wont let me do that.
