This company has been a complete and total nightmare 1) Ordered 12 blankets with the POD. Blankets were not in POD when delivered, customer service not kind or sympathetic at all. Had to rush to Uhaul before they closed to buy what I needed. 2) Scheduled, then had to cancel a redelivery due to change in plans. Received a receipt of the canceled redelivery, so figured I Was all good. FALSE. Get a call that a driver has my POD at the address I dont live at, and had canceled living at, wanting to know where to drop off the POD. Thank god I got the call and kept the driver from dropping the POD off. 3) I called later that day to confirm my POD made it safely back to storage despite this unscheduled "joy ride" they took it on. Was told they could not confirm that for me. Incredibly stressful not knowing if all my worldly possessions are safe, where they are, etc. 4) Finally get my house squared away and excitedly schedule my redelivery. Receive confirmation, so I go ahead and take the day off of work, schedule movers, etc. 5) The day before moving day arrives, so I call the hot line to see what time my POD is going to be delivered. No time available. Call customer service. Am told there was a glitch in the system and my order never made it to the scheduler, so my things are not going to be delivered. The best they could do was three days later. They had no remorse, didnt care, no offer of money back or help. Had to scramble to cancel the movers, and reschedule them to Monday (the next available day, and was told it was scheduled by PODS customer service). 6) Sunday rolls around (today), so I call the hot line to see what time my POD will be delivered Monday (tomorrow). Surprise, surprise, there is no time available. So they didnt schedule my POD. 7) At this point, I have been put through so much stress and anxiety with this company. All my worldly possessions have been taken on a joy ride, and are now being held hostage. I just want my stuff back. Please. Just give me my stuff back so I can live in my home.

Called to schedule a POD delivery weeks in advance and was told that my credit card would be billed 5 days prior to delivery of the POD (spoke to Chrissie). Upon calculation of the square footage in the POD, I determined that I would need more area and called back to request to add a 7 POD to my already existing order for a 16 POD. I was told that there would be an additional $1950.39 charge on top of the already $3260.07. This would place having PODs above a FULL SERVICE MOVE!!!! Ridiculous. Immediately, I told the representative (Travis) that I would have to consider other options, because of the lofty price. He told me that I was welcome to do so, and that there would be no cancellation fee as long as I cancelled within 1 day of scheduled delivery. I called and set up a different company to deliver storage units, and called to cancel the PODs on 07/15, the same day I spoke to the other company and made arrangements. I just received a bill in the mail and checked my credit card statement. PODs still charged me the initial fee prior to delivery. When I called, I was told that the representative should have told me 5 BUSINESS days prior to delivery, which is actually 7 calendar days. I mentioned that it wasnt helpful to find that out now, and that I needed the money back on my card to use it for my move. They told me it would be 2-5 business days, despite the other company coming on 07/20. Then, a manager was put on the phone, who told me that it would be 3-5 business days. The inconsistency and charges were something I had read about prior to booking with PODs, but I did talk to a couple of people who had positive experiences, so I decided to give them a try. NEVER AGAIN!!!! I am thankful they are not moving my items and will post an update to this once my move is completed, so that I can give an honest evaluation of the company I am actually having to move and store my goods.

LOCAL DISASTER. POD did arrive in CO in the timeframe requested around the holidays, no easy feat (to do or arrange!). HOWEVER, PODS tried to deliver to my complex (which is actually several residential complexes together) at 6:15 A.M. in the morning. Drivers just do what they are told even if it makes no sense. I got called at 5:45 a.m. both on pick-up and delivery of POD. Once I arrived at 6:15 a.m. at my new home in CO, I realized how noisy unloading the POD would be so I requested that the driver stop & come back. After that I was lied to several times/for several HOURS by the local delivery folks mostly via the national PODS representatives about when my POD would arrived again. You arent allowed to call the local phone number - note the 888 listed as their phone #. When my POD arrived it was locked. Since PODS picked up my belongings from a storage unit in Philly (I was in CO), I thought one of the companies would have the key. NOPE. Had to break into my own POD. Movers had to be reschedule throughout the day because I kept being lied to re the second delivery time... And because of the delays, I had to pay my movers (who were excellent) more than double the original amount because they had to come back on another day to put together my bed, kitchen table, etc. SO POD RECAP: Be prepared for legalese re EVERYTHING and extra charges that they eventually give you back... Ex: Even if you give your POD back on time, they charge a fee (just in case you dont?!?!?). What a nightmare. I will never work with this company again. While the local aspect of the company is mainly at fault, I cant give thousands to a company that treats their customers via the national call line as this company did. It is atrocious.

Nightmare. Our pods arrived TWO WEEKS LATE. This was during winter but we were told outright by the local side in CO the delay was because their forklift broke. And the national POD company threw up their hands and said oops, so sorry, we cant help! Plus for all the trouble they said they would provide a $100 refund and they never did so they were liars as well. The big ploy is they are cheaper than regular movers but let me tell you as someone who has moved a zillion times when you add up buying supplies (blankets, straps, tape for the blankets, locks for the pods), then the labor to pack your pod, and then usually you will need 1 if not more pods than you think you need it ends up just as expensive and hellishly more irritating because you need to hire labor and organize everything...next time we are using regular movers. STAY AWAY.

Wow, PODS is the best way to move your stuff. I moved from CA to CO and we had the best experience with our PODS. We loaded it in CA and had to wait over a month before we could move, and discovered we had packed a safety deposit box key. But PODS was able to give us access to our container at their storage facility so we could retrieve the key and close the safety deposit box without a replacement key cost. Once we had completed the purchase of our home in CO the container was shipped and delivered on the day we requested. I recommend PODS to everyone who is moving. Thanks PODS
