I think the workers at this post office are spoiled, being in a small suburban neighborhood. And persnickety. They have that policy where they wont accept the charge card if the back isnt signed. I once lost my wallet. Of course, since the back of the credit card was signed, the thieves were able to forge my signature and racked up a bunch of charges before I cancelled the card. So ever since then, I NEVER sign the back of my card. Other P.O.s have common sense - they ask to see my drivers license, see its me, see the signature is the same - and take my credit card. Persnickety Eastlake P.O. wont. And what really made me mad today - I went to go in at 4:55p - and a customer in line said, "Im sorry, she (clerk) told me Im the last one." SOOO - they dont want to let people walk in until 5:00p, they want to be DONE at 5:00p. Total time clock mentality. Maybe they get in trouble for overtime or whatever, but if they are supposed to be OPEN UNTIL 5:00p - that means customers should be able to WALK IN UNTIL 5p - and get waited on. I realize its jerky to walk in just before closing - but its standard business practice to wait on whoever comes in UP TO closing time. This P.O. is a 5" walk from my house - but Id rather (and often end up) driving 7" to the Northglenn station instead. They seem much more efficient. And friendlier. They definitely work harder than the Eastlake clerks.

I would rate this lower if I could. For some reason the manager here wouldnt let me open a P.O. box, citing the claim that "I lived too far away" and that "they would not hold my mail for me". I said that is fine, I dont want them to hold my mail, I just want a P.O. box. I live about 50 minutes away from this post office but I have reason to want a P.O. box around that area. She pried into my personal life about why I would want a P.O. box at their location. It was very awkward. Eventually I asked them what the rules were about how "close" I actually need to live in order to have a P.O. box. She could not give me an answer. The whole experience was very odd. I dont know why I was not allowed to rent a P.O. box from them. I literally just drove to the next nearest post office and got one there without any hassle. They didnt pry into my life, didnt tell me I lived too far away, didnt make bogus claims that I wouldnt be able to pick up my mail enough, etc. I really wish I would have taken down the managers name. She was truly just making things up as she went, and it was very obvious.

If you call and complain that the US post service sent your package to a foreign country that you never heard of, "in my case this took place" they call the cops on you at this office, their logic, after speaking to a very nice officer, he explained they thought I was a terrorist for having both a 310/818 area code phone numbers! REALLY? I know Beverly Hills is bitchy but that doesnt mean were terrorists, I highly suggest this office gets UAd just as bad as the office on 119th and Washington! Both are beyond illogical and unethical and blame the customer for their faults!

They deserve a NEGATIVE 10 rating!!!! TRISH is a horrid individual!!!!!!! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! Go someplace where they seem to have a BRAIN, treat the people with RESPECT (she wouldnt know what respect is if it slapped her in the face), and get the work done! They hold your packages as they wont put them out if theyre delivered after a certain time! She should be replaced with someone else who knows how to run the PO BOX! Plain and simple. Get her out of there and put someone else in charge to who knows how to work and talk to customers!

I think the employees here enjoy giving you a hard time. I had a priority mail package a couple oz. over (even though I used a scale) and had to pay for all new postage ($18!) which probably made her day. And of course the back of my credit card had to be signed (what an effective security measure!) before it could be accepted. Just a big hassle - Ill use UPS or FedEx from now on.

I sell stuff online, so I go to Post Offices/FedEx/UPS Daily. As some people said, this place rejected my package about 5 times out of 9 years. (which isnt too bad). Northglenn at 120th and Washington always took the package , even it was my mistake. However, Eastlake service is getting little better year by year. Another note: Watch out for speed trap near post office there.

The ladies that work here are SO rude. Its like a Nazi Camp!! Every time I go here I am treated rudely. Simple requests turn into interrogation and most of the time denial of request. I forwarded all of my mail from my old house to my PO box here and now I get no mail at all. I wish I read these reviews before paying for a year of PO box. Horrible service!

Never had a problem here in 15 years of going to this branch. Beats the hell out of the Northglenn branch at 120th and Washington
