People, please please do yourself a favor a listen to all of these negative reviews. They have a common theme, and that theme is that this shop is the classic epitome of a sleazy dishonest mechanic shop. Unfortunately, I read them and decided to take my car there a few times anyway. It was very ignorant of me to give them the benefit of the doubt, and I beg you all to learn from my mistake. This is my very first Google review mind you. I am a very patient and forgiving person, but the down right stupidity I have encountered at this shop is mind boggling. I have also never said anything negative/rude publicly before, but to be frank they are all a bunch of idiots at this shop. 1. They tightened a plastic oil filter cover so tight that it could not be removed with a 2 long bar and $20 socket by a guy that works out 4 times a week. I literally had my feet wedged on my tire and was practically deadlifting the bar, but the cover did not move one bit. It is still stuck on there and I am going to have to borrow a large breaker bar from a heavy machinery mechanic to attempt to loosen it now. Any self respecting mechanic would know tightening a plastic oil filter case that tight is about the dumbest thing you could do. Maybe that doesnt seem like a big deal to you, but think about how a sleazy shop would get more money out of you. If you cant figure that one out, youre probably going to ignore this review. Do you know what else they over tightened in order to break more things and charge me? They stripped my oil pan bolt as well and quoted $200 for a new oil pan. You know what fixes that instead? A $10 new bolt. Do you know what prevents that in the first place? Not over tightening it like an idiot. Lastly, this is the one that truly blows my mind. They actually told me that the tire I had on an OEM rim would not fit on another OEM rim I purchased and brought in. I didnt say anything for the fear of how it would end. I double checked the specs, and the was the correct rim and the tires should fit. I took it to Les Schwab just down the road with great reviews. We laughed and joked about the stupidity of what Firestone told me as they confirmed the tire and rim were correct. One thing that wasnt funny is when Schwab showed me the inside of the tire that firestone had not pointed out. It was shredded up from driving semi flat and the belt was showing. Myself and Schwab agreed it was not a safe tire. That is absolutely unacceptable that Firestone did not point this out to me. I also dont understand why Firestone would try to lie about the tire not fitting. It may be the dumbest lie a sleazy mechanic has ever told. Were they angry I didnt purchase the rim from them when there quote was $400? Were they just trying to get me to buy a new tire? He never quoted me for a new tire which I thought was very strange. Do you know what a better way would be to sell a tire? Point out the safety issue with a tire that could potentially blow up at high speeds. Thats about the end of my rant, and I hope you will listen. I care about people and I wrote this because I was hoping to help make others lives simpler and better by recommending you find a more trustworthy mechanic shop. I guess Ill find out soon enough if Firestone has a time of sleazy lawyers to compliment themselves. If they threaten me, I dont believe Ill put up a fight because wasting any effort on this place more than this review is not worth it.

After scheduling to drop off my vehicle for some minor maintenance and providing a list of additional work I would like quoted when I had my vehicle dropped off on Monday; Firestone finally contacted me late Tuesday afternoon. They told me about additional work I didnt ask for, barely touching on any of the maintenance I asked for or any of the additional list I provided. Additionally they told me that problem I asked to be fixed DID NOT exist for my vehicle (vacuum leak/no cabin air on 02 Ford F250 7.3L). After explaining in detail to the MECHANIC where the parts were located in my engine bay, the symptoms, the overall problem, and my suspected cause I was told they would look into it further. Finally another 24 hours later they said they had figured out what I was talking about and were still trying to fix it. Excluding an additional 24 hours due to a winterstorm Firestone again contacted me on Friday to say my truck would be ready for pickup "sometime" Saturday. After charging me 1200 total ($ 22 inspection; $60 extensive inspection, $60 vacuum leak inspection, $371 miscellaneous inspection, and probably a charge i missed for the "courtesy" inspection they are supposed to do). Additionally I got rear brakes done (they put the wrong pads on) $400?, an oil change for almost $200?, sway bar links for $400?, and another $371 to replace my vacuum hub 4WD solenoid and "replace" the lines. When I finally did pick up my truck, it still pulls right when braking, the vacuum lines werent fixed, I had to spend 30 minutes in the parking lot with the technician (who was the only good part of this service) to rig it so that my cabin air would work, received no apologies from the front desk or the store manager who seemed to busy behind his glass window to care about any of the customers. To add to my annoyance when I looked at the inspection sheet "the front desk only had seconds to show me what they had done") their was nothing in the maintenance services area checked, they said my struts needed to be replaced (my vehicle doesnt have struts), and my link pin bushing was cracked (what part is that??). This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a service station. I will NEVER bring another vehicle to Firestone (it would be cheaper and better service to tow it cross country). Not only am I outraged that I now owe Firestone this exorbitant amount of money but I am considering legal action for the gross negligence demonstrated while working on my vehicle.

BAIT AND SWITCH!! GM OWNERS READ THIS!! This Firestone has become a great example of sleazy car repair shops. This past weekend I made an appointment for their $20 oil change special. When I got there the gentleman at the desk (Dan) took my information, keys, and handed me a work order for $60! I stated that I was there for the $20 oil change special and he told me that my car takes a Dexos approved oil and that wasnt a part of the special. Their ad does state that the special is for Kendall GT-1 oil. I expressed my frustration that I was not told that on the phone when I made the appointment which he dismissed as well, that wasnt me. I was irritated but ended up giving the go ahead. I live somewhat close so I went home to wait for them to finish. While there I found a link on GMs website that lists all of the Dexos approved oils. To my surprise Kendall GT-1 is a Dexos approved oil! I was furious. I went back to speak with Dan who told me that he had never heard that their oil is Dexos approved. I kept trying to show him the list on my phone and he refused to look at it. He then told me well, I will give you $15 off. I asked him why I would pay $45 for a their $20 special and he insisted that they could not use Kendall GT-1 in my car because it was the wrong weight oil. He said that Kendall GT-1 is 0W and my suburban takes 5W. So I asked him if they had been putting 0W in my other cars when they used Kendall GT-1 and he said no we use the 5W in those. When I asked why he couldnt use the 5W in the suburban he said because it is not Dexos approved. I again tried to show him GMs list on my phone and he refused to look at it. I am wondering how many people have they done this bait and switch to. Almost all GM cars 2011 or later require Dexos oil. Unfortunately this is not my first issue with this Firestone and Dan but I figured I would give them another shot since they are so close to my house.
