I am a lifelong athlete and martial artist with experience at the amateur level in both Muay Thai and MMA. I was looking for a new fight team/place to train and gave this place a shot. I was very disappointed and put off by the whole experience. I checked out their schedule, called ahead to confirm, and dropped in to their morning Muay Thai class. Upon arrival, they asked if I had an appointment and seemed confused about why I was there. After some confusion, the owner, Tyson asked me a few questions about my background. I assured him I had experience and he gave the ok for me to participate. This killed my vibe a little bit but I went ahead and joined class. The actual class was very decent. However, I was immediately sat down in a corner after class and heavily pressured to sign a contract. I explained I only wanted to check it out and asked if I could come back a few times before I made a decision. (Their website advertises 30 days free just to be clear) After going back and forth with the instructor I just excused myself and left. I really liked the class, but didnt enjoy the high pressure sales pitch at the end ($179 per month which is way too expensive in my opinion) and is ultimately why I wont be back. Tyson - you should consider adjusting drop ins to accommodate capable and experienced fighters who dont necessarily need the sales pitch. Its too bad, I probably wouldve continued to come back had that been the case. Oh well, on to the next gym.

Everyone here was really nice and knowledgeable, especially Coach Mike, Coach Kong and Coach Tyson. Mike even allowed me to sign the initial contract for less time than was typical, which was 6 months instead of the usual 1 year. My issue was after I passed the beginner course and was ready to move on to advanced. I was informed that I could only move up to advanced if I would sign a 2-year contract. I had no idea that my initial contract didnt include moving up to advanced, and others I spoke with said the same. I was also not allowed to break my initial 6-month contract and was supposed to continue at the beginner level for its remainder (4 months) since I was unwilling to commit for 2 years. Had I known about the 2-year contract in the beginning, I never would have signed up in the first place. Im really glad I didnt sign an initial contract for a year, otherwise I would be really stuck. As someone else said, make sure you carefully read what you are signing and make sure it says what you think it says. I really wish I could have continued my practice. Like I said. Everyone at the gym is really great. If you are ok with a 2-year commitment, I would definitely suggest this gym to you.

I came here with my fiancee since we were in town to get married, and had scoped out a few places to try while in town. My fiancee and I are serious competitors with Alliance Jiu-Jitsu in Chicago, so we were looking for some friendly rolls to stay in shape for our ceremony and a tournament when we get home. After training at another place in the Denver area where we did not feel welcome, we found Professor Mike Frisons team of awesome people! At The Training Camp, the people were excited to have guests and had some really tough Jiu-Jitsu. You can tell Mike teaches without ego because it shows through in good attitudes of his students, and the Jiu-Jitsu was the best we experienced in town! If we move to the Denver area (and we may) we will be training here, and you should too if youre looking for solid Jiu-Jitsu with good people and good vibes. We didnt practice any other martial arts, but the kick boxers looked to be solid and the facilities were awesome too.

I really enjoyed this gym when it was at its smaller location. It felt more like a community and less like a typical gym thats only after your money. After expanding to their bigger location, I extended my contract to keep my old members rate. However, due to changes in my schedule at work, I found it hard to attend kickboxing classes since theres only a couple of times available. I asked to cancel my membership at the end of my second contract and was given the run around by whoever is behind their billing department email address. I had made it clear from the beginning I wanted to cancel, but was pushed to come in to have a meeting. Finally after a month of trying (and a charge for $125 as a month to month member), I was given the cancellation form. I filled it out and returned it via email with no confirmation that my membership has actually been cancelled. Poor customer service as soon as they find out you need to cancel.

I got a 1 on 1 with an employee here and also after some convincing got to come to a Muay Thai class for free. Not what I would describe as a traditional Muay Thai lesson, but granted this was only one class. Also their contracts lock you in, so beware. If I had been able to take a few more classes, or have a punch card instead of an entire year locked in, I may have come back. But from what I saw, it was not what I was looking for when training. Very nice employees and instructors. There were a few tough guys there, but most MMA gyms will have that. 3 stars for being nice, but seems like theyre more into your money than helping you with becoming a better fighter or working with your schedule/budget. Seems like theyre a better fitness gym than anything.

Mike is A great trainer and taught me alot of practical Mma techniques in the two weeks I trained while visiting from New Zealand, and really made me feel like part of the family. I still use the techniques today any one that gets to train with this guy full time is LUCKY with the game changers he taught me in two weeks couldnt imagine what he would do for you full time. I still flick Mike the odd message every now and then if Im stuck with my BJJ and need some advice and he still gets back to me, even though I only visited for a couple of weeks, with on point advice that works every time. If these guys set up an online training system I will be onit straight away! Enjoy your training everyone you got one Jealous kiwi here!!

Mike Frison is one of the most talented tactical standup and ground fighting instructors I have ever trained with. His knowledge of various cutting edge martial arts and fitness along with his unique and professional teaching style allow students to achieve whatever goal they may have. I have taught alongside many instructors that excel in one or two martial arts, but Mike Frison combines the experience of excelling in multiple fighting styles along with constantly researching and training in the most current and innovative fitness methods while making sure each student has an individualized plan for reaching their goals. I would highly recommend anyone to train with Mike Frison, an amazing instructor, teacher and friend.

I love training with these people! This is the place to train for both experienced martial artists and beginners. I’m a life-long practitioner. Ive had the pleasure of training at different martial arts schools and there are two things that make me not come back: 1. Meat-head bravado. 2. Lack of cleanliness. This place has none of that. What stands out the most for me is the sense of camaraderie that is actively cultivated by the instructors and staff. The culture is not just friendly but encouraging. Also, they do their best to keep the gym clean. :) And on top of all that, it is home to world-class martial arts instruction that is backed by impressive pedigrees… I can’t wait to go back.
