Now I understand the many negative reviews for this post office. Expected my package today. Checked the mail box, no package. Checked online tracking and it states: "Your item is being held at the DENVER, CO 80228 post office at 2:57 pm on August 11, 2017. The item was removed from a full parcel locker." The locker was not full. It also stated "Ready for Pickup". So, since I live fairly close, I decided to go pick it up. There was no line and an Asian lady called me to the desk. I explained my package was here to be picked up. She interrupted me mid-sentence and said "where is my card?". I did not have a card and attempted to show her a screen shot of the website and that it was here and I was here to pick it up. She proceeded to argue with me about how tracking online is not "correct". I patiently tried to explain the situation again, but she immediately cut me off again and said "Call the boss". I usually let things like this slide, but I decided to call the "boss" since I could barely understand her broken English anyways. A gentleman answered and I had to re-explain the situation. He was actually pretty nice about it and said to meet him inside at the double dutch door. I came back in, sat down, and then another grouchy looking lady stared directly at me and said: "Now What!?". I was shocked! I said "what do you mean now what? I just want my package..." Finally the "boss" man came to the door. He was my only positive experience but failed to find my package. He took my info and told me hed call me tomorrow. I cannot believe how rude and unhelpful the 2 women were that were supposed to be customer service people. Like I was bothering them or whatever. BOO to the front desk female employees!!!!

Probably the worst service Ive ever received in my life. My in-laws from France sent (via priority mail) my husband and I a package. It arrived while we were on vacation and the moment we got back we saw the notice in the door that wed received a package. We couldnt go into the post office to get it (because is was a holiday) so I used their electronic phone service to schedule to have it redelivered. The next day, I noticed it had not been delivered, so I tried to call, but I never received a person (after waiting for an hour). Actually, I dont think there was even the option to speak to a person on the electronic menu. So, I went into the office to see what happened. After waiting for 45 minutes, I was told they had sent it back to France that morning. They had held the package for less than a week. I couldnt believe it. With the holidays, we had a grand total of three days to pick up the package during that time (which we happened to be gone for). Also, they had received my redelivery notice, but they choose to ignore it and send it back to France. My in-laws paid over $100 to have the package sent and weve been waiting for it for over a month. NEVER AGAIN! THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!

The line is almost always long here. Today I arrived to pick up a package at 8:35am (opens at 8:30) and found the line a dozen deep with only one customer service rep working the cash registers. Unfortunately long lines and few cashiers has been a recurring experience at this location. Previous poor experiences have included unnecessary rudeness and late/botched deliveries. I have multiple times waited an entire day at home for a package to be re-delivered (as scheduled) only to have the package not be delivered as scheduled that day; my packages are then always back at this USPS branch for pickup. To be fair, I have experienced kindness and graciousness from the cashiers as well. A customer behind me this morning offered: "It would help to staff another cashier, especially during busy hours" (to reduce customer check-out wait time by up to half). Do hope it improves, for when I finished at USPS this morning (8:55am), the line had grown to 16 deep with still only one customer service cashier serving the .

Im sorry so many people have had a negative experience with this Post Office; today I called with a problem with a change of address, and the staff could not have been more helpful. I talked to Janae, who talked to me and asked all the right questions. She redirected my call to the Golden main P.O. The experience with them couldnt have been worse. The employee at the Golden P.O. was condescending, rude and made it clear he didnt give a s*** about my problem. I called the Lakewood Post Office again, primarily to give Janae a thank you, because she had tried very hard to help me. I talked to her supervisor and he, too was very helpful. He reported my negative experience with the Golden P.O. to the folks who handle consumer complaints. So give the Lakewood Post Office a chance. They definitely gave me 5 star service.

Ive lived a pretty long life and theres not much worse in life than having to go to the post office. The lakewood post office(theyve all been incomprehensibly bad) is the worst post office ive been unlucky enough to go to. Walk in with two people ahead of you? Get ready to wait 20-30 minutes and not have your problem solved. They hate their customers so much they do everything BUT come out and say "screw you!". They intentionally take too long, they dont give a crap about you, they make things confusing when they neednt be. They are far to understaffed. They have trouble with every shipment to my house and dont leave notices when they say they do. Its a horrible horrible, nasty place to have to go to.

Although I have been to this location to ship packages and found it to be crammed with people and wait times of over an hour with one person helping over 20. BUT.... in the end with all the public dictating GREED over public services we are left with this nonsense. From Bush destroying the health insurance program for the postal workers to the shameful pay rate of 11 - 13 an hour for postal delivery and crew. Sorry right wing Amerika, shape up and get in the game or stop complaining about the results. The employees in my experience living in a metro setting and not suburbia has been just fine and the mail is here regardless of weather and never damaged. Kudos everyone at the post office in Lakewood, well done!

I have been cursed at by the mail man at my home. I am continually asking them not to crumble my mail and they still do. I always get my neighbors mail and people who dont even live in my complexs mail and have asked over and over not to give me anyone elses mail. When I call to try and get some of these things straightened out they just want to fight or argue about it. I agree with the majority of the reviews on this post office. They are horrible and appear to hate their customers. Of I had a choice I would try and switch, guess Ill have to emwait till I move....... A note to the employees at this post office: of you hate your job that much find another and maybe try something other than customer service.
