The service at this post office is on par with service in other areas of colorado. I moved to Pueblo January 2016 and previously used post offices in Boulder and Broomfield counties. I run a small online business and am at the post office at least once a week. Its true that there is always a line in the lobby, but this is true of most post offices. If you note the time you begin standing in line, it rarely takes longer than 15 minutes to conduct your business, and usually takes less time than this. For the price you are paying, I dont consider this an inordinate amount of time. (Compare prices of UPS or Fedex). I find I have much more patience if I am mentally prepared to stand in line for 15 minutes, though. I have had employees be a bit less than polite, but we all have our days, and over all, Id say the employees of this post office are no more or less polite than any other post office. My main complaints about this post office are things that the workers probably have no control over. First, the lobby is often not air conditioned on hot Pueblo days. Im sure if the workers could change this, they would. My biggest complaint about this post office is that they dont have a self-serve machine in the lobby. My business could almost entirely be conducted by self-serve machine. But as I wait in line, I often observe that about half to three-quarters of the people waiting are mailing packages that could be sent via the self-serve machine. I wonder what would have to be done to get one of these machines... Im taking the time to leave this mostly positive review because I have noticed that there are some really awful reviews left here. Also, when I wait in line at the post office, I notice that people come into the lobby, see the line, and dont even try to control their extreme impatience and outrage at seeing the line. Theres a lot of bad mouthing of employees, who can hear every word being said. I wonder about what kind of expectations these people have. Ultimately, this is very poor behavior on the part of us customers. I encourage everyone to come back down to reality. The reality is that the post office is providing a pretty amazing service, taking your mail, your possessions, being held responsible for their welfare, and delivering them all over the country and world, for a remarkably reasonable price. Postal workers are working very hard, paying careful attention, in a very thankless and often harsh environment. Lets cut them some slack and check our expectations. Being prepared to wait and having an attitude of appreciation for the service others are providing us will do wonders to alter our experience of the post office.

I have gotten two packages that were marked as "failed to deliver" from USPS even though I was home all day and they didnt leave me a slip either time even though they claim they did. I called the post office to see if my package was there and they told me it was. When I went I waited 30 minutes while they looked for it and they said the person on the phone didnt actually look for it and it wasnt at the facility so it must be out for delivery. They took my phone number and said they would call me when the mail man got back but never did and I still havent gotten either package despite multiple trips to the post office. Also I put a request to hold my mail while I was on a trip and have it delivered to my house on the day I got back but it never was delivered. Ive tried calling but all I get is the busy signal and the one time I got through I was hung up on. Now I get to make another trip into the post office to try to get my two packages again and two weeks and a half weeks worth of mail. Im not confident at all that I will get either. Ive never had trouble with USPS until moving to Pueblo.

These people are idiots. I lived at my old house for four years and I got mail for previous people that lived there the whole four years I was there even though I kept sticking the mail back in the box and writing doesnt live here anymore. I moved across the street. The house I was in is still my familys home so I can still get mail there. I didnt forward my address because I needed to wait until I got all the important stuff that I was getting sent there. The post office took it upon themselves to start sending my mail back to where it came from and not deliver my mail anymore because we didnt live there even though I was still checking the mail daily and not letting the box fill up! I am outraged because I was expecting a very important piece of mail yesterday and my mailman today tells me theyre sending everything back because we dont live there anymore and we didnt leave a forwarding address!

Wow. I called about a package thats tracking number said it was delivered, yet it was not home. The supervisor let me know that the carrier mistakenly delivered it to the correct number but wrong street! He said he wou ld attempt to retrieve the package (That they misdelivered). That was a week ago and I havent received 1 phone call nor my package, but I have called them 4 times and i always get them saying theyll let me know. Well, I dont believe you anymore! A lot of people out there have these not to crazy expectations, that when they buy something online that it will be delivered to them. 2 stars for answering the phone.

My mail wasnt delivered for 2 days,I HAD A BILL DUE,AND WAS NEVER TOOK OFF MY BOX,Stephen the management, said ooo carriers dont have to stop at your address UNLESS YOU HAVE A LETTER, SO MY OUT GOING MAIL IS IRRELEVANT, AND THEN WOULDNT LET ME TALK TO ANYONE ELSE BUT HIS SELF, SO FYI, IF YOU HAVE OUT GOING MAIL, DONT EXPECT SUNSET MAIL CARRIERS TO PICK UP

I wish 0 starts was an option. We forwarded our mail from one address to our new one and for whatever reason they lost most of our mail and was holding the rest at the office because the address change didnt "work". The manager guy was arrogant and extremely unhelpful and didnt offer any solutions to help remedy the situation.

I see a lot of bad reviews for all post offices. So I will show some love. Yes expect it to busy, but they are always nice and tend to solve my problems.
