This post office constantly holds items that should be brought to the mail room in my neighborhood, under the pretense that there are no large parcel boxes available. Half the time I look in the mail room and most of the large parcel boxes are open, and the delivery woman sticks a form in our box without even bringing the package with her. They often lose packages and letters, or give no notice when a package has been held. More often than not, I get an orange slip a week late (after checking my mail every day) in the mail saying they attempted to deliver a package, and by then the package has already been returned to the sender. The delivery woman constantly crams items in our mailbox without care and has broken several items in small packages clearly marked "DO NOT BEND". We more often than not get letters for the wrong address, and when we spoke to the delivery woman in person she remarked that we had the same last name, thus the confusion. The letters and bills were for someone named Jason Hartman, who has a different enough name that we should not be getting his mail consistently. If I could give this post office a zero, I would. They are severely understaffed, and the two staff members Ive met seem like they could not care less about the people they serve.

Fortunately we have not had any bad experiences and I actually have been pleased with our carrier, phone, and in person services. I only saw the bad reviews because I looked them up for their hours and number. When I saw the one star I was shocked. I have reached them the three times I have called them within a couple rings and the person answering has always been helpful, took the time to find the answer. The last person i spoke with not only answered before hours but was very pleasant and respectful. Our carrier has come to our porch on several occasions over the past 12 years, he has endured our lack of pick up at our box and understandably had to leave us a pickup slip for a box too full and when our daughters boyfriend was in boot camp our carrier learned to identify the mail from him and made certain to put it on top as she consistently waited by the mailbox and the carrier shared the good news a letter arrived. Prior to our 12 years here in Elizabeth with consistent good service we lived in a nearby town/city where the in person experience at the post office was equivalent to their DMV; slow, long, nonpersonable and quite painfully miserable. So to share our experience... it has been quite pleasant and we are happy with their services.

All of my experiences with the usps have been generally good...until we moved to Elizabeth. The people at the counter are rude and snippy. Our mailman seems to deliver or not deliver packages based on how he feels that day. Sometimes he brings them to the porch. Sometimes he hangs them on the mailbox for everyone to see. Sometimes he doesnt deliver at all and claims my mailbox is full. If the mailbox is full, then why would he not bring the package to the porch or carelessly hang it on the box like he does other times? Our mail has been taken to the post office for pick up because our mailbox is "too full". However, when we go to pick it up, not only does the lady at the counter snap at us to pick up our mail more often, when I get home and put the mail in the box, it miraculously fits. Ive had certified mail that requires a signature taken back to the post office many times without any attempt to come to my door. Im pretty sure the usps has standards that every office and carrier is supposed to follow, but this place just makes up its own rules.

Horrible customer service! I would give this post office a 0 if I could. Alex, one of their employees is incredibly rude. My husband got to the post office right at noon last Saturday with a $19 priority mail package addressed and ready to go. There were customers in line when he got there. One of the employees said we close at noon and a different one came to the door after maybe to make sure he left. I called the post office when my husband got home and Alex was the person who answered the phone. He was very nasty and said I remember your husband. He arrived at noon. I said since he got there at noon and their hours are until noon, he should have been served, right? Then Alex changed his story and said he got there after noon. I am like really? Not sure what kind of business turns away a one minute $19 sale...oh yeah, one subsidized by government....in the form of reduced taxes and cheaper loans.

We run a business out of our home, and our experience with this post office has been terrible. It runs the gamut from losing packages, refusing to deliver them, refusing to pick up scheduled pickups to general nonchalance when I complain in person. Im disappointed that no one seems to take pride in their work in this small town. I had hoped to be able to write a good review, but Im utterly and completely disappointed with the service. I currently have two packages that say delivered which arent, during my busiest time of the year. I rely daily on the USPS to take care of their jobs so I can do mine. Sad to say they are a terrible partner.

I dont have enough time to tell you how bad this post office SUCKS. They hold packages and never send a pick-up slip. This has happened twice in the last week. They give out the wrong packages when you go to pick up, then say you never had a package when you have to bring the wrong packages back, only to get a slip two days later saying theyre sending your package back for non-pick up. The postmaster, AL, is a dick. Its not like you have much of a choice when it comes to packages, but listen - drive that extra seven miles to Kiowa to do your mail business.. Kiowa is awesome.

I hope that if your reading this you havent moved to Elizabeth Colorado as of yet.. This is the worst postal service I have ever had or seen. The workers are lazy and careless. If your mail is important to you or if you get a lot of packages there is a big chance you wont ever see them. Our first month here or rent check was lost and never found. It has been 4 months. When our lease is up we will be leaving the area. Our mail is kinda important to us.. :(

Been using this office for years, and the person who works there, I dont remember his name because I dont bother wanting to because hes extremely rude and not even helpful. Every time he sees me, hed just give off a huge sigh like he got really sick of seeing me. This office need a huge overhaul with most of staffs, and how to run this damn office.
