Ive never felt so satisfied walking out of a car shop. Gary was great! I took my car to another place for an oil change and the person there said they found about $1000 worth of repairs. Mostly brake pad and rotor issues. The guy told me that each axel would cost me $350-$450 to fix these problems. I took my car to Gary at Wheat Ridge Auto and he changed the brake pads and buffed out the rust on my rotors on BOTH axels and when all was said and done it only cost me $360. I was so happy!! Not only does it feel good knowing my cars brakes are safe again, but I now have a mechanic I can trust. I am a young woman who just moved to the area so it would have been really easy for him to take advantage of that and be a crook. However, he was honest, explained every problem in detail and treated me like family. He also had it done the same day I dropped it off! Overall, the experience was above excellent and I will be recommending him to everyone. Thank you Gary!!!

Gary is honest, never suggesting anything that doesnt need to be done, and very good at what he does. If he says it needs to be fixed, it does. If he says it doesnt, I trust him. I never feel like I need to get a second opinion with them, and I find their pricing to be reasonable. Gary will take the time to diagnose whats wrong, and not just fix something to make it worth his time. I really cant say enough good things about Wheat Ridge Auto; I try to get everyone I know to go here, its that great. I dont think you could ask for a better mechanic, and hes a genuinely good guy!

Ive been talking my truck to Gary for 10 years now and I completely trust him and all his employees. Ive had Gary tell me many times over the years that if it doesnt need it, dont do it. Im writing because I just got off the phone with him and I have an annoyance with my truck that would take about $1000 to fix, he said if you can live with it then I would! I send everyone I know to him and now Im recommending him to everyone I dont know!

The man we talked to acted too busy to care what we were saying. He never once turned to look me in the eyes while speaking and only told me what was "probably"wrong with my car. I was then asked if I wanted to go ahead with a $600 fix based on what he thought might be the problem. Ouch. No thank you. I also felt a little discrimination because of my out of state license plate. Typical state to state treatment for travelers. Thanks Colorado.

Gary and his shop have been a trusted Wheat Ridge institution for several decades. Never heard any complaint from anyone about him. Fair, honest, if somewhat gruff, man. Generally not very talkative unless you ask about his old Panteras or Corvettes. My father started going to Gary when I was ten, and 25 years later I still trust him and go there first for any out-of-warranty work. If he cant do the job, he can tell you who will.

Definitely recommended. I towed in my 14 Dodge Dart when it it wouldnt turn on and wouldnt jump. They spent a lot of effort and time trying to figure out what was going on with it. Nothing seemed to work. They tried everything for a whole day and a half and really did theyre homework. Unplugged the battery and poof! The guy didnt even want to charge me. He was friendly, honest and has great 37 years of experience.

Im on my way to go pick up my car! I had a very short lived experience at this shop, due to their kick ass service! I left my car over night, they diagnosed the issues the next morning and had it done before closing today. Gary is very kind, as well as funny! The price was great too, so this place is a broke college kids dream. If I have another issue with my car, Ill definitely be returning!

If you are looking for a great mechanic, who wont overcharge you, and actually perform good work on your car, this is the guy for you!!!! He does amazing work and will even throw in a few corny jokes to make you feel like part of the family. I even went in one time needing work done and only had a certain amount of cash and Gary cut me a deal! Great guy, great shop!

Ive taken my car to a number of different shops. They quote me a price and never once has a shop called and said they got the job done faster than they thought and charged me less. Gary did just this. He quoted me $670 for a radiator replacement but because he got done sooner he charged me $540. Honest mechanic and good service. Ill keep going back.

Gary is probably the most honest, reliable person running any sort of business, anywhere. I really cant say enough good things about this business and I wish that other businesses would take a page out of Garys book and just be honest and do things the right way...its an excellent business model! Best mechanic Ive ever been to.

Gary at Wheat Ridge Auto Service is the best, most honest and fair car mechanic that Ive met! My car had a problem, and even though it was already Friday afternoon, he took some time and checked it out. His service is awesome, his work ethic and fairness are above and beyond excellence! Came in for a walk in, could tell they were a little put off by getting a walk in after lunch on Friday. But! They handled it well and gave me a great guess as to the issue. Price was very very reasonable and the mechanic I talked to Gary I believe was very up beat and super helpful!!!! I will be back to these guys.

Always honest and trustworthy. They always check with you before expensive repairs, and give you an honest opinion on where the repair needs to be done at this time or can wait. Save me hundreds of dollars. For oil change and diagnostic work, will usually work you in that day. The only place I take my vehicles.

I asked these guys if they would inspect a car (used) that I was going to buy. They took the time to do it- found several things that needed repair. told me in general that it was a good quality car- and did not charge me. (cant guarentee they would do that for everyone though- as far as charging).

Brought my CRV in and was trying to check double check if something was wrong based on a smell. They were kind enough to put it through the paces, but didnt find anything so didnt charge me which was more than kind.
