RODENTS and RODENT FECES I rented a unit from Avon Self Storage for more than 10 years while I was living abroad. When I returned in November, 2016, I discovered RODENT FECES in nearly all of my personal effects (sofa, furniture, clothing, etc.). The owner will no doubt suggest that this was unique to my unit, but I had the opportunity to inspect other units at the same location and my unit is by no means an exception! To the best of my knowledge, there is NO perimeter rodent control and NO rodent traps or poison in the buildings. Most professional storage facilities use either or both methods to ensure the protection of their clients property. The only solution the owner offered was to set traps inside my unit in the future if I notified him of a rodent issue. Thats a bit odd - what is the benefit of setting traps in a storage unit once rodents have already infested it? Thousands of dollars of furniture and personal effects now need to be replaced or professionally cleaned. The only compensation the owner provided was 1 months rent deducted from my final bill. Thats a bit cheeky. He is well aware that he has a rodent infestation problem, the large sum of money I have paid him over 10 years and the damage that was done due to the rodent infestation. My suggestion - find a rental unit at a facility that either has active rodent control (perimeter and in each building) or a facility that is entirely sealed in a multi-story building. These facilities may charge more, but at least you have the peace of mind that your property will not be contaminated with rodent feces.

Avon Self Storage is an incredible facility run by a great owner who is almost always on site and willing to help in any way he can. The facility offers a wide range of temperature controlled and non-temperature controlled units in different sizes etc. The units, buildings and entire property are beautiful and spotlessly clean. All locks, doors and units function perfectly as if everything were brand new. Each building also has a selection of hand trucks, carts and other conveyances to move stuff in and out of units to/from a vehicle. They also offer an easy-to-drive rental van, which is great for moving items or quantities too large for a standard car or SUV. We had to put a entire house worth of contents in storage when we moved from New Jersey during this unusually hot summer. Every time we went to fetch something, the buildings were cool and dry. Also, super clean as mentioned earlier. This is one of the best run and best maintained businesses Ive ever dealt with. I recommend them highly.

Great Place to store a car inside for the winter. Very well run with secure units and safe location. Owners were very helpful and even offered a ride home after I stored the car. Definitely recommend!!!
