I was driving three friends to Bradley Airport from Amherst MA today when my car began rattling on 91, and I knew there was something seriously wrong. I pulled off the highway on exit 45, stopped at the Sunoco and was told to go to Small Town Auto because it was "good and cheap". Upon entering the small shop, I was greeted by the friendliest woman at the counter who understood exactly what I meant and believed my own diagnosis of the problem (I thought it was a faulty ball joint). About 10 minutes later the men in the shop had my car lifted and had the problem diagnosed (my drive axel has almost nearly been torn from my wheel, a very serious problem) the man working on my car brought be into the shop and showed me the problem first hand so I knew he wasnt trying to screw me. They got CV part delivered directly to the shop within an hour and got to car patched up and road ready in another two after that. A fix that I estimated would take much longer and cost nearly $500 only cost me $260. (My father had replaced my CV in my old car and we know its a difficult part to remove and replace) While I was waiting the owner of the shop bought his staff and me lunch from a local restaurant down the street, a very welcomed act of kindness since I had been up and running since 7am and it was just around 12:30 at this point. The staff at his shop treated every customer that came in during my 3-4 hours there graciously and quickly. I was so impressed with the service I received and I will never forget the men and woman who made a horrible day for me so much better.

My car had stopped turning on, and I needed to have it towed to the nearest mechanic. I had just moved to the area and Smal town was recomended. Long story short, next day I get a call from them "we figured out the problem, u need a new fuel pump" being a customer and not a mechanic I said, seems reasonable. Upon replacing the fuel pump the car still wouldnt start ... Small town insisted the pump was busted and refused to refund or re install my old pump. It turned out to be an ignition switch issue after I had it towed to the Nissan dealership. The lady at the counter made me feel like a real ass for asking for a refund for my part to be replaced since the car still wouldnt start, there for it obvioisy wasnt the issue. She insisted the pump was broken and refused to repair, refund, or recomend any solutions. She was convinced the pump was still broke...But, I was curious to see if the pump was actually broken, so I attached it to a car battery and submerged it in liquid And wouldnt u know it... The pump worked!!! So if u want to get ripped off, made to feel stupid and have to have your car fixed somewhere else after paying for needless repairs, this is the garage for you. Dont be a sucker like I was, AVOID SMALL TOWN AT ALL COSTS!!

I went into this joke of a place to ask for tire rotations from winter tires to summer tires mind you they where already mounted and Balanced so i asked for a tire rotation which is normally about $30 these guy really said ot would cost me $80 i asked again so i could make sure if they know what i was saying i said to them i just want my tires switched out he says yelp that will be $80 i said to them what do you have gold pixie fairies that are magical putting them on for me what rude place that does not have any more business they will be shutting down went down the street to Dons automotive they charged me $30 out the door and said its just a simple tire rotation

The most dishonest auto place I have ever encountered. After charging so much to fix a radiator leak problem, when the car was returned to them complaining of a leak, they diverted the problem to something else. But another mechanic confirmed that the original problem (radiator) was not fixed properly and even showed me that the current leak was due to the original incomplete repair.

My truck stopped running, had it towed in to Small Town Auto Repair, had them check it out. They told me the fuel pump was no good and needed a new one. I was quoted a very high price for a new fuel pump. Pick the fuel pump up myself they installed it. The next morning the check engine light came on. No more had enough of Small Town Auto Repair Ill take my business someplace else.

Got a flat tire on the highway and this place was just a few miles away. My tire was useless so they put the spare on for me and offered to buy me a new one. They were nice, told me everything that was wrong, and didnt pressure me on buying or fixing anything i didnt need. Great people and great place!

God awful labor charges, not even in the ball park. For basic car work they are consistent like oil changes and tire rotations etc. However if your automobile has an actual issue, dont bother go elsewhere. Its not worth 3 plus visits of excess frustration and wasted Money.

Horrible service.. DO NOT GO TO THEM... thry charged me 2300$ to fix my suspension on the front end and come to find out it easnt even the suspension like they said. They never checked my difirental fluid and my bearings and gears where about to sling apart..

Called to see about a straight pipe on my subie. Guy said "we dont do performance exhaust." It says right on one of their pictures "no job is too big for small town auto" except welding a peice of pipe. i guess that job is too big

Went for a tire change..they did the job neatly and fast. Staff was polite. My only problem was the $153 charged for the tire ($75) + Labor charges for a 15 minutes job.

Been there to do my emissions and it was fast and efficient with very helpful staff. But take the back entrance since you might scrape your exhaust on the front one
