For the last two years I had been driving one hour each way to have my Lexus serviced at Midas in fairfield. The reason I went there was because of Steve Macos the manager. I trust him and he does a great job. As a customer, he makes you feel that your business is wanted whether you are there for an oil change or a major service and always accommodated my schedule. I went there once on his day off. Big mistake! I was running a little late at work and it looked like I wasnt going to make it there to pick up my car at 5:29 on the dot. I called the assistant manager there and asked him to wait for me for a few minutes. Despite the fact that I did ALL my servicing there and I drove an dour to get there he could not be bothered to accomodate my request, instead said Ill leave your car unlocked with the key under the mat. I DONT want my key left under the mat and the car unlocked and reminded him what a loyal customer I was. he could care less. When I arrived he was still there, left my key under the mat and left the car unlocked. I was furious and vowed to never go back but because of Steve Macos went back. I have been in retail for over 3 decades and every once in a while you need to stay a few minutes late to accommodate a customer. I was saddened to hear that due to a poor management decision Steve Macos is no longer the manager there. A company is only as good as the people that work there. Needless to say I will NOT be going there for service anymore. As a business owner looking to cut costs,do you let go your top guy that customers love and makes you money because he happens to be the top wage earner or do you let go the guy that is more concerned about walking out the door at 5:29 pm sharp and could care less about the customer? My prediction is that the few dollars you save in payroll will pale by the business lost by your customers going to service elsewhere. Im sure I was not the only customer to be slighted when Steve Macos was not there. Big mistake Joe... Big mistake...

I do not often write reviews, but felt compelled to warn others about this insanely greedy, over priced station. I simply got JUST my rear brakes, ONE caliper, and TWO rotors replaced. The quote I got from another Midas for the same work the next day? $600-700 dollars is what I was told from another Midas. This Midas charged me $1241 for the job. They took full advantage of a guy who does not have a single day off from work, and someone who does not know a lot about cars. They knew I needed brakes now or never. They tried to create awkward small talk but knew I was upset. When I called management to see if they can alter the cost to somehow a little more reasonable the manager said $50 refund or we can discount the front brakes. He admitted that it was over priced yet he offered only $50. He gave me a few days to decide if Id rather have the discount on my front brakes or the $50. I declined the brake work. I would never get ripped off by these guys again. I called the regional manager back multiple times to inquire about the $50 credit but this coward wouldnt even answer his phone or return my calls. Bottom line? They charged me $1241 for a job that should have been HALF that. They are absolute crooks and took full advantage of someone that does not know much about cars. I will never in a million years go back to this place. I honestly dont know how these guys live with themselves. They rip people off and They know it. Oh, and the guy that took my car for a test drive was about 67" 300lb. My seat felt like a different car. On top of that? I heard them order pizza for lunch. Guess what was on my stearin get wheel? Pizza. Guess what my car reeked of? Nasty, chewed up pizza. Needless to say I was treated horribly and will never be paying ANY Midas a visit. Not just this one. They are trained to be crooks.

I usually wouldnt even think of writing reviews for anything but somtimes people should know what theyre getting into. Brought my car for some simple exhaust work (since i dont have a welder) the work was done realativly quick. I went back to the shop the same day, the guy at the counter told me the exhaust made a whistle noise whem driving. I have owned the car for a while and know that whistle noise only happens at 5-6000rpms. They most likey had driven it really hard which i was pissed about. Anyway getting to the point, i looked at the work they had done, two JB weld spots holding my exhaust together. (JB weld is epoxy) Honestly how dumb can people get? They have a big suprise coming soon. Third time an autoshop has done me wrong this year. Watch yourself Midas, corperate ethics are not holding out there.

Ive been going to Fairfield Midas for years, however, its been quite a few years since I had need to return, upon entering I saw new faces; which made me cross my fingers that I would get the same great service from years ago... My expectations were exceeded! Eddie is the new Manager there and this guy is great, smooth and has awesome customer skills. I dropped my car off for tires service and and oil change. The estimate was 100% accurate and when I got my car back it was running great (again!) Thanks to the team at Midas Fairfield; best of luck. Ill be back!

I had such an awesome and refreshing experience at Midas today! Both Fritz and Paul were very accommodating and honest. Fritz was great at explaining what my car needed and how much the cost would be - no hidden charges. He walked me through what was important to get done and things that could wait . Paul was very knowledgeable about the electrical/mechanical problems with my car, especially when it came to my headlight issue. I have been coming to Midas for many, many years and this is the first time anyone explained everything so well. Thanks guys!

Ive been going to Midas since 2013 , I stopped last year 2016 , after new guys took over , and charged me for a vehicle tune up a grand and some change .. just for spark plugs , wires , injectors lol. They did not fool me ! , people learn about cars and prices a little , inform yourself , because franchise want labor . I did my tune up for 400 bucks the lowest I got with an independent person . Now I called again lmao! So for my brake pad replacement only , they want 400 lol

Staff is friendly and they are flexible and willing to work around my budget to get the work done that I need (which has been plentiful)! Ive been to multiple Midas and have always been treated well. They have even offered a ride home when car needed to be kept over night! The new manager Eddie is great, always nice and professional! My oil changes have never been easier! In and out in matter of minutes.

These guys are great. They work with my budgets and dont push or invent things that need to be done. They do good solid work. I drive an old car and plan on paying to have it repaired often rather than paying a monthly loan on a new car. To do that I need a repair shop I can trust. I drop the car in the morning and walk to the train - go to work and by the end of the day they are done.
