So nice to have a trusted mechanic in town! I have had excellent experiences with Newtown Car Care. Most recently, they sent me home with a $0 bill! An Oil Change place (Firestone in Brookfield CT) told me I had a myriad of issues with my car that needed to be fixed urgently. They were lying to me, and Newtown Car Care checked everything out, assured me it was fine, and didnt charge me. I will be taking my car here for everything, even oil changes from here on out :)

Pretty opaque on what work needs to be done, seem to be trustworthy. However, I had to have the same repair done 3 times in 1 year (bearing replacement). They didnt charge for the repeat work, but it was hard to understand why they couldnt have gotten it right the first time. Customer service is very good. Turnaround time is pretty average, theyre pretty busy so you cant get an appt right away, and they arent open on weekends.

All these vehicles outlasted my expectations and they have cared for my 1995 Toyota Celica so well that it still runs smoothly after 250,000 miles+. The atmosphere is friendly and their work is outstanding and reasonably priced.

Was charged $47.00 for an oil change. Was advised that the price is so high due to all of my hoses and belts being checked. At least a free insult to my intelligence came with the priciest oil change I have ever received.
