I have now rented two storage units from Extra Space in Middletown and Ive been very happy with the facility. I shared one space with other friends over a summer and although move-in and move-out were a little harrowing (all Wesleyan students move in and out in the same few days so carts can be sparse and hallways clogged), I was happy with my interactions with the staff and with the cleanliness of the facility. When I had a death in the family the next summer and quickly needed a space to store everything, I quickly thought of Extra Space and contacted them. They were very helpful, letting me look at various-sized spaces in order to guage how big a space I might need (despite already having booked a unit they let me upgrade to a bigger one) and answering all questions. I opted for a climate controlled space and was happy with it whenever I visited. Really, I was very happy with my experiences there. My only warnings would be to avoid Wesleyan move-out/in days and also to be aware that the gates only function 6am-10pm, not midnight.

Very clean and secure storage facility. I used ExtraSpace while attending Wesleyan University and found it to be very convenient to the campus. The staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend to students and to anyone for that matter! I used ExtraSpace again after graduation and continue to find this location extremely clean and secure. Highly recommended! Used ExtraSpace again this summer--excellent service and a decent price as well. Very clean location!The lighting is very good.!!! Rented again for this spring and summer--very happy!

This location is very close to Wesleyan University, which makes it the most popular storage space for Wesleyan students. It is clean, easy to use and convenient. If you go on Wesleyans move-out day in May it will be crowded and you may have to wait to be helped and to get a loading cart, but otherwise, you should have no problems. I recommend sharing a space with a friend or two to cut down on costs. Definitely gets my recommendation.

Extra Space Storage in Middletown, CT is the finest facility in New England. Paul is the most knowledgeable Manager and his staff is always willing to assist you in every way. I would trust them with all my belongings as the staff is always trustworthy and conscientious in providing the best storage for all your belongings. This is definitely a five star location offering only the best in storage service and capabilities.

Ive used them twice -- once to move all the "extra" stuff out of our house to make it presentable for selling, and again after we moved out to store stuff before moving. Both times I used a 10x10 in the un-controlled temperature area. I didnt find that my stuff got too hot or cold. The space was clean, and the facility is quite clean and neat. The staff are friendly and helpful (if occasionally a bit brusque)

I had a very good experience storing with Extra Space in Middletown,ct. This facility is very clean and is conveniently located near Middlesex Hospital and Wesleyan University. The cost of the storage unit was fair and the gentlemen who work in the office were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone that I know that needs storage.

Facility clean, easy to access by location, as well as the actual building. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Ive used other storages and this one is better due to aforementioned factors The only issue I have is that rates increase every year, so its best to use temporarily. This is not unique however storages are prone to increase like other rentals.

One thing to mention. On the day before the housing closing day of Wesleyan, lots of Wesleyan students came at the same time around the closing time (10pm), and we had to wait for the carts. I hope Extra Space opens 24 hours when housing closing/opening days of nearest schools approach. Overall, this facility is good for storage. I recommend Extra Space.

Extra Space Storage at this location has polite, friendly staff members who make signing up for storage a breeze. The facility itself is clean, gate access is convenient and easy and most importantly I know that my items are secure. The staff membersb are very helpful with answering any questions and it makes the moving process easier.

Getting signed up was easy. Payments each month were easy. Facilities appeared clean and well kept. However, after two years of storage I bought a house and emptied my storage unit; and to my surprise 50% of my items had to be discarded due to mouse feces and other unknown substances.

Extra Space is very clean, reasonably-priced, has helpful staff, and is located very close to the Wesleyan University campus. They fill up quickly for summer storage, so make sure you reserve your space early. They sell packing materials right on site, which is very convenient.
