This place is awesome. Literally anything/everything you could possibly want from a gym. State of the art machines and equipment. Everything brand new. Pilates room, spinning room, massage, group fitness room, etc. State of the art technology (you can choose places to "virtually cycle" in different parts of the world), you can have a virtual instructor put you through a workout in one of the rooms, etc). The turf training section has the same exact equipment that elite athletes use to train (it actually looks and feels like a place an NFL or NBA team would work out): numerous boxes, battle ropes, gymnastic rings, kettlebells, tires, etc). In addition to all of that, the rest of the facilities are also very high level. Very nice locker rooms with steam room and sauna, a cool "business center" and big nice open lounge when you first walk in, and a little cafe/smoothie bar where you can get great healthy food/shakes/etc. I had their chocolate peanut butter protein shake post workout, and it was delicious. This is a very cool and unique gym and would 100% recommend that you check it out. Seriously.

Misleading pricing just as in any other gym. We normally go to Yale gym, which is free for all Yale affiliates, but wanted to check out mactivity for one month to see if it would be a good alternative after graduation. It is already more expensive than any other gym in the area with $49/ month annual subscription and relatively small for the price , so we asked to sign up for a monthly plan which is listed at $59 a month. The associate took down all my info and after I swiped my credit card said the total for the month would be $80!. Apparently signing up for just one month is $20 more than their so called monthly subscription, which requires a two month minimum, a fact they conveniently do not mention. I have no idea how can they justify charging $80 for a small gym with no pool and no crossfit classes. Beware of this misleading advertising and well stick to more reputable gyms.

High-end gym with all the bells and whistles at a fair price. Clean locker rooms with good showers, blow dryers, steam room and sauna. Excellent customer service. Busy but not too crowded. Turf area with TRX gear. Cycling room. Large yoga room with great wood floor. 2 squat racks with bumper plates and plenty of machines/benches/cardio equipment. Regular group classes included. Many pricing options (per day or week, day pass bundles, monthly, annual). Cafe with smoothies/coffee/snack bars. Sound system usually playing high-tempo pop music. Mostly 30-and up professionals who are in reasonably good shape and interested in staying fit for good health. No juice heads.

Ive been a member at countless gyms in my lifetime and this is the first facility to truly make me feel like I belong; like I can make the most out of my workouts, connect with people, and enjoy a luxurious experience while doing so. Being a Community Health Promotion Specialist by profession, I can say first hand that mActivity caters to the well-documented needs of MOST of us who are striving to live healthier and fuller lives-- we all deserve to feel welcomed and encpuraged to exercise and be healthy without feeling judged by our ability levels, body image, or other traits, and mActivity has achieved that beautifully.

Have been a member of a gym throughout my life..in a number of states. Many have been great experiences. I am pleased to say this facility ranks in the top five. Pleasant staff, considerate trainers ( I wintnessed four at different times working one on one and in groups), they were very pleasant and professional to those participating, clean facility, convenient hours, and for a guest of new haven for a few weeks, affordable!

Literally the best gym Ive ever gone to in the world (and I am a bodybuilder and travel a lot globally). Friendly staff / owners, great infrastructure, 5 star equipment, star cleanliness and a great environment overall. Its one of the very few gyms Ive seen that fits the needs of beginners, bodybuilders, class goers, and community seekers. Its clear there was a lot of love and thought into it. Congrats!!!

Currently have a membership at this gym. Very well set up with lots of free weights and cardio equipment. Steam room, sauna, and showers are provided with male and female locker rooms. There is a juice bar with healthy organic ingredients and an option to add protein. Massages can be squeduled upon request. One free personal training session is included when you buy a membership. Overall great place to workout!

Having never gone to a gym before, Mactivity has probably set the bar too high for me; if I ever move out of state, Im in trouble. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. Theres good art on the walls, places to sit and read, and each staff member that Ive met has been wonderful. Also, shakes. The fact that Im happy to get up at 4:30 AM to get there when they open perhaps says it all.
