I used Two Men and Truck to move from Norwalk, CT to Stamford, CT last weekend. Unfortunately, my experience was horrendous. This is the first time I have used a moving company, I have always moved myself in the past. I really do not have one positive thing to say about the experience, so here is a list of the negatives. 1. Took their sweet time to move out of my 1 bedroom apartment. I lived in a 1000 sqft loft and it took the two men in between 3-4 hours to move my stuff into the truck. At this point, I was not even upset yet since I knew going into it they are paid by the hour. So it makes sense they would go at a slow pace. 2. Once everything was out of my apartment, they reassured me to not to wait for them for they would be right behind me on the way to my new place in Stamford. As soon as I got to my new place in Stamford (about 20 mins) we got a call that their truck will not start and they are waiting for another truck to come jump their battery. We waited a full hour until we heard from them again. 3. When we did hear from them again, they called us to tell us that they DROVE OFF THE ROAD AND ARE STUCK IN A DITCH. And sure enough, the driver backed the moving truck off the road, crashed into a ditch and then into a tree. Thank god I moved all my valuable myself and did not put my TVs etc on their truck. At this point, we had to wait TWO HOURS for a truck to come tow them out of the ditch. 4. After they were towed out of the ditch, they then (rather rapidly) unloaded the truck and left everything in my new place. 5. So a move that should have taken about 4-6 hours total took about 8-10 hours and Two Men and a Truck would only discount our rate by TWO HOURS! They basically wasted my whole day and we still had to pay them for their countless mistakes. Now here is the icing on the cake... After getting settled in my new place I noticed soy sauce all over my $800 wool rug and on other pieces of furniture. I know for a fact there was no soy sauce on my wool rUg or my furniture prior to the move. My conclusion to this is that while the "two men" were waiting for the truck to be jumped at my old apartment, they treated themselves to some Chinese Food from the restaurant downstairs. They so comfortably sat on my white wool rug and used my furniture as a counter top for their Chinese food. I KID YOU NOT. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. IF YOU USE TWO MEN AND A TRUCK DO NOT LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!

We used the Norwalk location in November 2013 and two guys were extremely friendly and moved us quickly (less than 2 hours.) We used them again (Norwalk location) in July 2015 and I wish we never had. For a 1 bedroom apartment plus an office, they took 7+ hours, and like other reviews said - wanted to take money off the books. We even tipped them nicely - and once they left we started to notice our wooden coffee table had a huge chunk taken out of it, our fabric covered headboard had numerous blue stains on it, and best of all - a box of our wedding gifts (brand new) went missing, as did a bottle of champagne. Instead of taking the time to ensure items were well-taken care of, I did see the crew using their dollies to see how quickly they could "body surf" down our hallways in the apartment building....true professionals! We called the local store twice, both times being told someone would get back to us...and didnt. We then went to Corporate Office who routed us back to the local office. One manager (who was part of the moving crew that we used) said he looked at all security footage and no one took anything home with them. He said they would comply if we wanted to file a police report?!?!? Heres a suggestion - how about you find me a solution instead? Terrible customer service, irresponsible, and a whole lot of stress to something that should be fairly simple. Save yourself time, save your belongings and of course your money - find someone else, or at worst...do it yourself before you hire these guys! Were going back to the Corporate Office again as clearly no one at this location is interested in helping us. Hope they enjoyed the champagne and our gifts.

9-10am: Our truck was scheduled to arrive. We received a call that their truck broke down, and they would arrive sometime between 11 and 12 now. 12:15: No word from company. We call to get an ETA. We are told we will get a call back in five minutes. 1:00: We call back again after never getting an ETA. We are told 20 minutes. 2:00: We call again. We are told 20 minutes. 2:30: Truck arrives. Crew sits in truck while waiting for a second truck to bring pads for furniture. (the pads are never used for the furniture) 3-6pm: Moving out. Pads are not used on furniture. An Ikea dresser is damaged to the point that it cannot be moved. Crew was asked not to move the dresser from the top. They moved the dresser from the top. They also moved some furniture that we asked to have left at the apartment. 7-9pm: We are moved into our new house. The following week, after talking to the site manager, we are still charged FULL PRICE... We have used Two Men and a Truck in the past in a different city, and they were really great. This group was the complete opposite.

I experienced exceptional customer service throughout my entire moving process. From getting a quote to finishing up the move, everyone I interacted with was incredibly knowledgable, helpful and kind. The movers arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They also had great senses of humor! I had a particularly large piece of furniture and a tight entry way in the new apartment and they managed to get it in, even though it was difficult. They did so without damaging anything and they were extremely patient. Moving is very stressful but I must say that Two Men and a Truck did an amazing job at making it a more simple process. The movers went above and beyond, and the administrative staff even called me throughout the day to check in and make sure everything was going well. It is very clear that customer service is a top priority for this company. I will definitely be using Two Men and a Truck for my next move and will be recommending them to all of my friends and family.

You are taking a serious risk by hiring this company. We have used them twice before in another state and had excellent experiences - sadly that was not the case this time. Team was extremely unprofessional, taking multiple smoking breaks after already arriving 4 hours late. None of our furniture was wrapped despite rain the entire day of the move. Left first location before us and yet we still needed to call and figure out where they were 30 mins after arriving at second location. Worst of all, complete lack of customer service from home office - was told wed be able to review paperwork before billing due to our terrible experience, only to find we were charged for the full estimate. Have tried getting in touch with them at least three times since with absolutely no response. This was our fifth move and while the experience is never fun, this was completely unwarranted and out the of ordinary. Dont hire them.
