A very Typical (lying, sleazy, low class, thieves) Moving Company. BEWARE. I have moved all over the country, Five Times, and have experienced every type of moving company there is. On a scale of 1-10, Id rate Verity Van Lines Inc. from Seaford, NY as a BIG ZERO. Like other sleazy moving companies they quote you one price and then after you sign a contract, the price goes up. My sales representative, is like most. In that when his lips are moving, hes lying. Salvatore Preiato promised me that he has been doing this all of his life and he over estimated the weight of my items so that I will be safe AND even if he was wrong that I would have a 10% price guarantee. He said that after they get my furniture picked up that I would see both before and after weigh bills. Never saw anything. Naturally, the price went up after they took my furniture away. Then they changed the arrival date, so my belongings sat on a truck for two weeks in Seaford, NY. On several occasions they told me that they only carry insurance for $00.60 (60 cents) a pound and that I should increase it at an additional charge.I declined. It wasnt until my furniture arrived (3 weeks later) that I was told that if there is any damage that they were only responsible for what "THEY PACKED". I packed everything except 3 items. And I When I found damaged items, I called "Sal" he never returned my calls until I threatened to write bad reviews. Then he called me and told me to send him photos of the damage and he will take care of it. I never heard from him again. When I called their office I was told that he was on vacation and that I needed to complete a claim form that they would mail me. Im still waiting for that. I also asked, "Why would I purchase extra insurance, if they were not responsible for 99% of my shipment? Answer: Its the law. Huh? Its the law to offer me more insurance and not tell me that they are not responsible for anything that they dont pack. In summary, They are lying, sleazy, low class, thieves of a moving company just like many of the others. Learn from my mistake. Read the reviews on their web site, YELP and google them and see for yourself.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Verity Van Lines. Throughout our move, my husband and I frequently commented on how impressed we were with our moving team. The first person we met was Robert who came to give an estimate. We were impressed with the accuracy of the on-site estimate, the ease of getting a printout, and the fact that he came back two days before the move to confirm that the estimate was still accurate. Early on the morning of January 17, 2014 we met Dennis, Kyle, and Joey. They arrived on time and got right to work. Joey immediately started loading our boxes while Dennis and Kyle began to wrap up our furniture. We couldn’t believe how quickly they got everything loaded into the truck, we had envisioned it taking hours longer than it actually did. The team was courteous, hardworking, and very personable. Once at our new house, the moving team went above and beyond. Again, they unloaded the truck more quickly than we had anticipated. The team followed all of our instructions regarding where things should go. They helped rearrange our furniture several times until I was satisfied with the placement of everything. They even helped install felt pads I had gotten for the feet of our couch to avoid scratching our hard wood floors. I had been very anxious about our move beforehand, but Dennis, Kyle, and Joey made the experience easy and enjoyable. As we have told many people since our move, Verity Van Lines was definitely worth every penny. Thank you for everything, Denise and Andrew Nadworny

Horrible experience...horrible company....horrible customer service....just plain horrible....contacting the Better Business Bureau about them.....DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!.....they must pay people to write good reviews about them.....we actually hired them...paid $10,000....to move to another state and not only did things go missing and furniture damaged.....they accused US of misplacing them....didnt answer phonecalls...gave us the runaround....they answered our calls right away when we were going to hire them for the job...but when we had issues Noone was ever in the office and we never got a call back.....we are HONEST good people and Verity will get the Karma they deserve.....whoever is responsible for the missing items....will get payback someway somehow.....this company is unprofessional and treats the customer as if theyre the ones lying.....meanwhile you hire them in good faith to deliver your personal items to your new home.....and they dont....they turn around and accuse you of misplacing them....TERRIBLE....BUYERS BEWARE....Gods honest truth....DO NOT USE THEM...I wouldnt recommend them to anyone I love or care about.....whoever it was that works for VERITY that is responsible for the missing items they "claim" we have misplaced....KARMA will get you...TRUST ME....JUST DISGUSTING...and to the employees there that mock us Karma will get you too...its not right to treat GOOD HONEST people the way you have!!!!....Not just a bad experience...a lesson learned...DONT TRUST VERITY!!!!

This is the worst moving company you could ever use. Trust me & do not use them. They damaged everything we had: Furniture, Boxes, Pictures etc. They change their prices drastically after you agree to use them at the last minute. Even though they ruin all the ties they moved for you, They demand to be paid in full. Then of course they blow you off, even though you have insurance with them. I have never dealt with such a dishonest, unprofessional & unconcerned company ever. They deserve no money at all for the move they did for us, let alone the fortune they ripped us off with. They cracked wall unit glass, ruined beautiful furniture sets, destroyed everything in every box, even damaged our bedroom set & cracked huge mirrors & promised to replace it, but never did 3 months later, they never will! They damaged loads of things right in front of me & still never took care of any of it. They also use movers that are unqualified & drop everything, as they cant lift, so in desperation, you wind up moving everything you possibly can yourself. The problem is you cant be everywhere. If there is a problem they will not do anything for you. You will get a terrible move & no compensation for it. Verity Van Lines = STRESS! Now im forced to hire a lawyer to deal with what they have done to me. Re: Verity Van Lines My wife and I moved in June 2015 from Long Island, New York to The Villages, Florida. The experience we received from Verity Van Lines was very professional and exceptional. We chose Verity because of a recommendation from a friend. We contacted Robert Johnson and he came over to our house and we discussed the moving experience at length and in great detail. There was no pressure at all to sign up and we felt very comfortable with him. So one week later we chose them as our mover. The main movers were Steve and Erick, who not only packed the truck but actually stayed with the truck through the entire move from New York to Florida. The packing team that they had were very careful and very pleasant. I asked them to move some heavy things to the curb for sanitation pickup and all it took was to say "please". When we arrived in Florida they were very helpful and accommodating as to the placement of the furniture. Nothing was ever a problem for them. They were very courteous, helpful and very professional. I would recommend Verity Van lines to anyone who plans to make a move.
