Are You kidding Me?!?!Leaving on a road trip Tomorrow, and did not feel I could make the time to change the oil in My 2008 Honda Odyssey, so took it to Firestone, on West Main Street, in Norwich,CT., that was My first mistake. The attendant came out with a dirty air filter, and offered graciously to more than double the price of My oil change by adding the cost of a new one, to which I declined, as I was on My way to the Wally World for My next stop, where I purchased a new filter for less than half the price Firestone offered.Upon My return home when I went to change the filter, I was a little more than irritated to find that the "technician" had broken one of the four bolts holding the cover down, and said absolutely nothing, He just left the bolt with a busted off head where he found it.I had the Wife call, and ask if that was standard practice, being that We moved recently to the area, and where in need of the occasional car maintenance, and an emissions testing facility, for a tech, to break a bolt, and then just not say a word about it?After quite a few minutes wasted on the phone, the resolution offered was to bring the car back, and they would fix it, with a sub-standard non-factory bolt, and that was only after being told that the tech did not break it.Even if He did not (which he did, the break was still real nice and shiny, and I was the last one to check it)Why would he not say, "hey one of Your hold-down bolts is broken", or even "Jeez, SORRY,I broke one of Your bolts"...I mean honestly Firestone of Norwich, You just lost a future customer over a $2.00 bolt, no small wonder why mechanics have such a bad rep, You all are the pits. The new tires I was needing for My vehicles will never be from Firestone either. They did however have a couple decent magazines in the waiting area, but it takes a lot more than that.

Well, so far I have only given them three stars. I have had my Dodge Grand Caravan in several times this week for different reasons. All of the people working the desk have been polite and kind, but they dont seem to know, as of this am, that I had to bring the car back last night. Did no one, working the pm shift, leave the am shift the message?? So, Im still waiting for them to fix the original problem. I have used this Firestone before, and have been very satisfied with the work and the results. When I get my car back today, I will leave another review as to how things went, and the final results. Perhaps they will receive the full 5 star rating, but who knows?? My mother had used this Firestone for about nine years to service her vehicle, and was always pleased with the service and results. This is why I have chosen this Firestone. Okay, so I just got a call back from FS. More stuff needs fixed….but its not their fault. The van is a 2003, and has almost 160,000. miles on it. Weve decided to do all the work, the car is paid for, and if I can get another 3 years out of this ole van, it will be well worth the money spent. Lets just hope and pray that 1. They dont find anything else, and 2. That the van runs for another 60 to 70,0000 miles!!

I changed my cv axle which caused my car to come out of alignment. Before I changed it, the alignment was great. After putting my car up on the lift, they refused to align my vehicle because they couldnt get it perfect! Lol. I told them thats fine. My car was misaligned because I changed my axle, yet after wasting their own time and my own, they refused to do it because it wouldnt be perfect! My wheel was completely off and an alignment would have brought it to what is was before I changed the axle! I think they didnt do it because the kid tried to test drive my car without me, and I called him out on it and didnt let him. Let me be clear... my car is manual transmission. I dont let anyone, especially "mechanics" I dont trust, to drive my car without me in it. For all I know they burn the clutch and grind the gears! Thats why I think they refused me service. Nevertheless, I went to Monro Muffler down the road and they did it. Surprise!, it is good now! Ill never be back to these incompetents!

Horrible customer service, took over 25 minutes just to make an appointment. I was put on hold multiple times and nobody seems to know what was going on. Firestone disappointed me I felt that a large corporation would hold their employees to a higher standard. Last time I took a car there they said it was fine to drive, the ride home proved otherwise. Had to immediately take it to another more responsible mechanic, that actually fixes problems. This is just one of my recent regrets, in the past Firestone has cracked my rims and tried to blame me, a call to their complaint line resolved that issue but the fact remains that they tried to make me pay for something that was their fault. I am never surprised anymore with what they can mess up, diagnose wrong, or plain lie to your face about. Dont be a victim, call corporate complaint line if you have an issue, it will get them to resolve your issue faster than any back and forth with the location manager. Trust me!

I took my car in for a cracked radiator and they ended up charging me $340.99 for the part alone. In doing some research, I found that the Advance Auto Parts store right across the street (where I assume they got the part) charges only $141.99 retail for this part. Im assuming Firestone does not pay retail prices for the parts they order from Advance Auto Parts, but either way, they charged me almost $150% more than the retail price!! PLUS beware, every time Ive been in this particular place they are always pushing car batteries on people by saying "Youre battery is right on the cusp" and them show them some printout where it looks like the battery is going to die soon. Ive always known they charge more than other auto repair places, but would continue going because of brand safety and name recognition, BUT NO MORE!!

third time ive ever came here and all three times a terrible expereince. First time an oil change with a tire rotation. They took hours and never rotated the tires i marked the tires to mark sure of it. Second time, a part in my a/c broke they quoted me $1400 to fix it i had it fixed for $350 elsewhere. This most recent time a simple tire patch which he asked if i could drop it off, i said, "yes and asked how long." The guy replied "a couple hours maybe 3 tops since there are people in front of you." okay fine no big deal, it took them 6 hours to do a 20 minute job! The guy said he forgot to put a number on my slip which i have had other people tell me has happened to them. I did end up getting my flat fixed for free but the time without my vehicle was appreciate.
