I live in Stamford CT, and needed a plumber to come to my home and try to find out why our hot water supply was down to a trickle. I didnt hesitate to call Roto Rooter. They have always addressed every plumbing problem I have encountered, both at home and in my office. My office needs are particularly challenging, as I am a Dentist, and must constantly upgrade the office plumbing to comply with local and federal regulations (which seem to change daily). Failure to do so could result in fines or loss of my professional license to practice. And if that werent enough, i have an apartment above the office with a couple of renters with plumbing issues of their own. But no matter whether its home, office, or apartment, I always call Roto rooter. They literally arrive within an hour or so of my call, and the job is taken care of. Done. Finished. The price is fair, and the work is garunteed. When I had to comply with regulations to install back flow valves at the office, the man from the Water Company who inspected the job said it was some of the finest work he had seen. They also installed the gas piping formy office generator. Now we have hot water again at home. Tons of it. And it wasnt a new hot water heater. Just a valve. David, our Roto Rooter man, had a spare in his truck, and we were up and running in no time. Thanks so much for taking such good care of us for all these years.

I live in New Canaan CT, and have only used Roto-Rooter to fix our plumbing problems. A year ago, not knowing who to call being new to the area, I decided I couldnt go wrong with a reputable company such as them. A bit anxious of what it might cost , I was quickly put to ease when they went above and beyond what I called them to do. So this past week I had a another plumbing issue, this time a leaky kitchen sink, I called and once again they went above and beyond. I called them to repair the kitchen basket strainer that was leaking. Not only did they fix that but took it upon themselves to check over all the connections, tighten them and they repaired my soap dispenser....which really delighted me since it also was broke. The best part is that I didnt even have to mention the soap dispenser, nor did I plan to because I didnt want "the extra expense"...they just did it and I realized it when I went to use my sink once they left....what a nice little surprise! I dont do reviews, honestly only if the service isnt good....so consider this an honest and trustworthy opinion...Just call them...you wont be disapointed...but satisfied with the great customer service and extra time they take to perfect what they came to fix...above and beyond what you expected!

When calling into Roto-Rooter, the sales reps answering the phone will require a plumber to go on site in order to provide pricing for a job. It turns out that EVERY job has a flat fee price associated to it regardless of site specifics (i.e. $409 to snake a drain or $130 plus parts to replace a drain tail pipe extender) so having the plumber provide pricing in person is merely a sales tactic. In my case there were two tasks completed taking a TOTAL of 1 hour and the bill was well over $500. It became painstakingly obvious that pricing is NOT provided over the phone because the likelihood of someone agreeing to these astronomical prices prior to a plumber arriving at your house is much less. The plumber said “we will unclog your drains if it takes ALL DAY at this low price of $409” knowing very well that it was a 30 minute job. I called to complain about pricing and was referred directly to a manager who was “not available”. It’s been 3 full business days and I have not heard back. They did however respond to a negative post service customer satisfaction survey. I gave two stars (and not one) because the plumber seemed knowledgeable and scheduling was a breeze. I would most likely NOT use roto-rooter again.

The technician who serviced my household resolved the issue (clogged bathroom drain) within minutes! Thats why we call Roto-Rooter- to fix drainage problems we are unable to mend ourselves. I knew the service I needed would be provided for in an efficient and timely manner. But it was the service of this particular employee that warmed my heart. I imagine he had been working all day, and as we had an appointment after six, we must have been his last call. Nonetheless, he was polite, friendly, professional, and skilled. He explained each step carefully and ensured that I would only be charged if the process worked. And of course it did! As a very young home owner, it was such a relief and a blessing to have this problem that had plagued me for weeks completely gone in a matter of minutes. Im not sure if I should mention the technicians name... his number says #689 from the Stamford, CT area. Roto-Rooter - he is one of the best employees you have!! Thank you so much!!!

I was uncertain as to whom I should contact. For the first time in 31 years I had water in my basement that I knew was not from clogged gutters or ground water. I called Roto-Rooter on a Sunday afternoon expecting to hear there would be an extra charge for the weekend and that the soonest they could get here was days later. I was surprised when they said theyd have someone here within the hour. From then on my good experience got even better. One technician came and rightly diagnosed a clogged footing/curtain drain but needed to refer it to another technician who had the right equipment on a special truck. The second tech[MJ] proceeded as though he was working on his own home. Both techs were professional, thorough, patient with easily undersandable explanations and a can do attitude. I have recommended them to family members and will continue to do so with other extended family and friends. Well done RR. Thank you.

There is something good to be said about going with a larger, reputable service company instead of a local contractor. We had a clogged kitchen sink that was made all the more frustrating after running the upstairs shower causing an overflow of water in the kitchen and the fact that the problem had supposedly been resolved less than 3 months ago by our regular local plumber. I was far more satisfied with Darleys work and confidence, not to mention the companys 6-month guarantee. Add to that, the kitchen was left clean, the cabinet items placed neatly to the side. Plus, the fact that I set up an appointment online the morning of -- about 1.5 hrs before he arrived with a follow-up phone call confirming that we would indeed have someone there the same morning -- it just doesnt get much better than that!

After having a new bathtub installed, we had a leak down in the basement. The company that installed the tub wasnt available on Sunday, and didnt get back to us on Monday morning! We called Roto-Rooter late Monday morning and they sent 2 technicians to the house within hours. Steve Soares Tech #2060 and Marlin Torres who quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it within hours!! They were thorough, knowledgeable, and explained the problem and what they were going to do to fix it. They also gave me a quote in writing and got my approval before proceeding. They were clean, quick, and extremely professional!! I would call them back without hesitation in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you!! Jeanne Lehman
