I cannot express how satisfied I was with the Mako team. Right before Christmas and with a young baby, we were in a serious bind. I had called a couple of other plumbers, and they couldnt be bothered at 6PM on a Friday night. Rich canceled personal plans on a Friday night and came over to assess the damage. He swiftly commissioned a team of his incredible plumbers to work around the clock all weekend to restore heat. The job was much more complex than a boiler replacement, as they had to jack hammer the basement floor and locate / repair the return line. Working in parallel to this, they replaced an old hot water heater, something that I desperately needed. Nearly a week of 14 hour days got the heat back on right in time for Christmas, a personal goal of Richs as he knew how important it was to my family. He was responsive, texting me and calling me with frequent updates. The quality of the job was top notch. They were clean, professional, and really respectful of our situation. They even came back a couple of times to make small tweaks / educate me on my new system without charging because they cared so much about the success of the project. Tyrone specifically was a great help and someone I really trusted as an expert plumber on the job. I highly recommend Mako Plumbing and will use them moving forward on all jobs, big and small. Thanks!! Description of work: On the coldest day of December 2016, my boiler caught fire due to a damaged return line and lower water cutoff. After the emergency response team cleared out the area, my home was without heat on a Friday night. I needed a complete replacement of a boiler, a new hot water heater, and a new return line (which was located below the concrete in my basement).

Shortly after moving to my new house, my wife and I discovered that the basement was leaking as a result of a kitchen renovation on the first floor. I called Mako and within 30 minutes they were at my house and assessing the problem (galvanized pipe had deteriorated behind the wall and was pouring water behind the drywall. Jay was courteous and promised to treat our house better then his own. He did a great job removing portions of the wall, pulling out the dishwasher without damaging anything, and evenhe educated me about the piping in my house and walked me through his process every step of the way. Thanks to Mako, an otherwise serious problem was kept at minimal damage by their quick response time. I highly recommend Mako to anyone in the greater Lynbrook area that may need a plumber. Will definitely be using them again.

Just had a call with Rich from Mako. He began by asking how we heard about the Company and then the conversation took another route. Rich explained how Mako is an expensive company and that if we have found a cheap company, that we should go with them for the gas conversion services which we had requested. This is even before we got to the part of scheduling an appointment for an estimate. Rich was unprofessional and quite arrogant in his tone. He spoke to us as if we couldnt afford the services without any basis or reasoning. As a first impression from Rich, this is not a Company which I would recommend as they do not seem customer friendly from the get-go. Furthermore, a complaint will be filed with the BBB to investigate this kind of customer service behavior.
