I would give zero stars if I could. From buying to service this place is a joke! Save yourself the trouble and do not go here! When I was first looking to buy a new car I went to Center Subaru and my salesman gave me a price for the car I wanted that he claimed was shipping from Rhode Island next week. After pressing for me to put a deposit on the car, I left because I wasnt ready to buy. As I walked out I looked at a car that looked like what I wanted. Turns out the VIN number was the same as the car that is supposedly "shipping from Rhode Island next week". At that point I wish I walked away. After a week of deliberating I decided to buy the car. I was told the car that I was price quoted on was sold and if I put a deposit down they would get me a car from another dealer. After a few hours I get a call back that they found a car and I could come in next week to pick it up. Turns out, it was the same VIN number, again. I understand you want to secure a purchase but I would be more inclined to buy a car if I could look at it in person. Unfortunately, this is not where my bad experiences with Center Subaru ends. Within a month of owning my car it was recalled for a defective steering wheel column (I know this is not the dealerships fault). When I received a rental car from enterprise, which was a small compact car, I was told if I wanted a more comparable car to my Outback that the dealership would not pay and I would have to pay the difference out of pocket. After two weeks of waiting to hear back from Center Subaru, I call asking about the status of my car after hearing many cars with the recall have already been fixed. The receptionist forgets to put me on hold and I hear "They will never come back to this dealership if we dont get it done". Magically the parts have arrived! My car was ready the next day. On to regular maintenance. I took my car to Center Subaru for regular oil changes. After my first oil change I noticed that my coolant was on the low side. I mentioned this at my next oil change and they said they would top it off for me. Not thinking to re-check my fluids I go on using my car as normal. About six months later I decide to check my fluid levels and my coolant is even lower than before. I was not too concerned as it was the middle of winter and I would just mention something again at my next oil change. I went again for an oil change last month. I made it very clear that I needed my coolant topped off. I also explained that I understand that it expands in the reservoir as you drive but when the car is cool, the level is very low. It is now one month later and my coolant is at the very bottom of the reservoir (see picture). My service record from this appointment said they checked all fluids…yeah, ok. On another occasion, I brought my car in for regular maintenance and casually asked the service greeter if it is normal for my Outback to be a little laggy when changing from reverse to drive. He said yes this is normal with the CVT and that if I just press the gas pedal to the floor when shifting between reverse and drive it should be a little quicker. Anyone who knows anything about cars knows this will ruin your transmission, not to mention, it says not to do this in the owner’s manual. This isnt even the end of my nightmare with Center Subaru. Ive posted the rest of my review on Facebook because of googles character limit.

I recently bought my Subaru Crosstrek from Center Subaru and was extremely happy with them. I had actually gone to a few other dealers beforehand and was on the verge of giving up on my dream of a brand new Subaru. I went to Danbury and got the impression they felt like they were selling Luxury Cars and couldn’t be bothered unless you had a down payment in your hand when you walked in. I walked out of there with the idea of not even going with Subaru after that experience, however, I decided I would give Mid-Hudson Subaru a shot as I had heard good things. My experience there was much better as the salesman was friendly and courteous, however, they really didn’t do much for me in terms of negotiating and I felt like I was being taken for a second ride. I had called around and came in contact with Bob (Marozzi) from Center Subaru. He asked me to come in and take a look at a Crosstrek. When their Crosstrek sold, he called me immediately to let me know not to make the hour drive up there if I was expecting a test drive. From that point on, I knew he had my best interests at heart. When I finally went up to talk with Bob, he was extremely polite and a mild mannered guy. He definitely took care of me and talked to me about all of the options, when certain vehicles would be available and what kind of prices and discounts would be available. He treated me like anyone looking to make such a large investment would want to be treated. He took care of me and really did whatever he could to make sure I was happy and felt comfortable with a sale. He was not pushy at all, just willing to work. He even made a 45 minute drive to my wife’s work to get her signature on some paper work so she could be on the title as well. After talking to his sales manager, Miles, they were able to get me an incredible deal with as many rebates as possible. I was also shocked at how they went out of their way to get me my car in the color I wanted. When I had asked Mid-Hudson for my specific car, they told me I would have to wait 4 to 8 weeks, Miles and Bob worked it so I would be in my model, with a few additional perks, in just a few days! They have been extremely kind and considerate every time I have been in there since. Bob has even called me several times now just to check in and see how I am liking the ride. He really is the nicest salesperson I have ever dealt with and just an all-around good guy. Should I purchase a Subaru in the future, I will only need to make one stop at Center Subaru.

I never expected to be in a position to purchase another vehicle, due to a variety of circumstances that were beyond my control. I assumed I would have to drive my 10 year old Toyota, Rav4, into the ground. As luck would have it, I was awarded a lump sum settlement which would enable me to purchase a vehicle and I began to do my homework. I was looking for a car which provided safety, reliability, style, and a few luxuries. Color was important and I believed this opportunity would be my last opportunity to purchase a new car; I wanted what I wanted. Subaru caught my eye and I also test drove a number of different cars from various dealerships besides Subaru. When I came to Center Subaru I encountered Frank Marchion. Right from the get-go Frank appeared to be "real" and down-to-earth, not at all my rather shallow stereotypical view of car salespersons. Franks patience with me was unending. I test drove cars, and then re-test drove cars. I brought my son in who also test drove and re-test drove the same cars. The perfect car was sitting on the lot all along. It was a Subaru Legacy Limited and it was the right color. To my delight, it provided luxuries I had not even considered and the price was right. Through the whole process his sidekick Chris Miiller provided a youthful perspective. I also found Chris to be "real". I have never been one to really enjoy driving. That has all changed. Im still learning about Sarah, (the name I have given my car) and I am so impressed by the way it handles and the technology I had no idea even existed. The purchase of this car should be covered under health insurance. I suffer from back issues and no matter how my back is feeling, it always feels better once I turn on the heated seat with lumbar support. Music is important to me, particularly jazz music. As there are no radio stations in the area that play jazz, I am enjoying Sirious Radio tremendously. What a joy! Do you need something from the store? Its in the next state, you say? Im your girl! Ill be back in an hour, enjoying my beautiful car on the way.... Thank you Frank, Chris, and all of the other folks at Center Subaru! Youre awesome!
