Ive been using this dealer off and on since they opened. I usually change my own oil. Stopped by last week. They checked my antifrezze told and showed me that it was bad. I told the representative he was mistaken as I personally 6 months ago changed my hoses and installed new fluid! His excuse, tester was bad. He then cked again supposedly with another tester " which I never got to see" and said it was good to 40 below. Now mind you Id been driving around early January in temps of 5 above zero with no cracked block! Lol. It dawned on me the next morning that the 1st tester was full of almost clear fluid! My anti freeze is bright green! If we checked his work station,Im sure we would find that tester crimped with old wornout fluid just waiting to be shown to an unsuspecting customer! Those testers dont go bad. And even if it was , why the diff. In the color of "my anti freeze" hmmmm. They obviously tried to rip me off. Ive since heard of other people with similar experiences at this dealer. Ive been working on cars all my life. Im 58. I know when Im being screwed! I suggest you avoid these guys and their bait and switch tactics. Im sure they could do this with any product they sell as we the consumer are not on the garage floor! UNLIKE MOST I KNOW MY CAR! CUSTOMER BEWARE! When indoubt wait! Ask an experienced friend or professional or ck your car yourself if you can. Most of the items they try to sell you on such as wipers or lamps etc. You can and should ck your self! Oh! The next day I used my washers and the low washer lamp came on lol ,guess I didnt get my fluids "topped" off did I. Shame on me for trusting , but at least I didnt pay for antifrezze service I DIDNT NEED!

The technician left a set of pliers and dead light bulb loose under the hood of my car. The pliers fell and hit the fan, causing a loud rattling noise in my car. Valvoline was closed, so I took it to the mechanic down the street that was still open. Imagine my surprise, when the mechanic pointed out the pliers and dead light bulb left under the hood. He also pointed out that one of the bolts keeping the headlighr cover in place was now missing. Thankfully there was no damage to my car. I usually go to the store in Naugatuck, but since I was closer to Watertown at the time, I thought any Valvoline could change a light bulb and not potentially damage the actual mechanics of the car. I was WRONG.

I was apprehensive to go here after reading the other reviews but I just needed an oil change so I figured Id give it a shot. I pulled up, asked how much and had my car in and out it less than 10 minutes. I found a $6 off coupon online, showed the guy my phone and got the discount, he actually asked me if I even wanted to hear the recommended services (obviously told him not to bother) and we skipped that. It was the least amount of hassle, gimmick or upselling Ive encountered, not to mention the fastest oil change Ive experienced in recent memory. If you just want a standard oil change- this is the place. Ill definitely come here again.

Got my oil changed here in May. Mid-June my oil pressure light comes on so I take it to the dealer. There was very little oil left as it dripped out due to Valvolines improper drain plus replacement. They also put the drain plug gasket in upside down. Not only did this negate the oil change in the first place but could have caused major damage to my car! To only throw salt on the wound I asked the dealer if the "premium" oil Valvoline told me I needed was, in fact required, it was not. They upsold me to a product I didnt need. I would never recommend this location. In fact I would highly recommend NOT going to this location.

I went to valvoline to get a routine auto transmission fluid exchange and I left with the gear shifter completely broken!!! I took it to get an estimate for damages and it will cost close to $800 worth of repairs. Valvoline will not claim liability for the damages claiming it was a known issue and because my vehicle has over 100k miles. Very poor workmanship and not taking ownership or a problem that didnt exist until it was after work was done on it!!

I hate having to get my car serviced because it cuts into my time. This place has moved to the format where they service your car while you are in it. I think I was in and out in less than 15 minutes with my oil changed and I wasnt given a hard sell on how I needed every service they perform done on my car.

Not bad for a quick oil change, but theyre sometimes a bit too pushy on the up-sell. I mean, all I want is an oil change, dont try to talk me into $100 more of crap. Still though, were regulars. Its handy and never any issues with the service.
