This is a review long overdue and I truly owe it to Middletown Car Care to publicly praise them for the excellent service I have received there over nearly a decade. I can count on one hand the businesses I have taken the time to actually sit down, collect my thoughts, and write an online review for and that alone, from my perspective at least, is a testament to the quality of service Ive received over the years. Google only allows 5 stars, and my rating only shows 5 stars, but my actual rating is 6, and thats because Middletown Car Care has always gone the extra mile for me; saving me time, money, and frustration. First and foremost, theyre a trustworthy shop. Theyre not trying to run up a bill full of unnecessary work or repairs or maintenance that is not immediately needed. They give you a straight forward diagnosis of the problem, tell you what you need to fix immediately, advise you of issues that may present a problem in the near future (and how long you have until it becomes an immediate issue); they give you a quote for each repair, and theres no pressure - you choose the repairs you want done. In my experience, those future issues that they point out typically arise in the quoted approximate time period - Ive learned its better to take their advice and not get stuck on the side of the road. The service is fast and usually done before the original estimate. Ive also had numerous instances in which the final cost has come in well below the original estimate. Sean has worked some magic on my cars, coming up with creative solutions to properly repair issues and save me a ton of money. I tried many shops when I moved to Middletown and despite my cynicism and skeptical nature, Middletown Car Care won me over - and enough for a wordy 6 star review.

The personal, professional treatment we get any time we bring a car to Middletown Car Care is why we keep coming back. Whether I need an appointment for a specific day that works best for our busy family schedule or I call with a panicked "Help--I am going away tomorrow and a light just came on!", they have been extremely accommodating. Ann Marie is always friendly and helpful on the phone. When I brought a car in that I wanted to know if it would be a good starter car for my 16 year old daughter, Sean looked it over as if his own child would be driving it. They are always honest, trustworthy and efficient. When they call to explain what is wrong with the car, they always take the time to explain it to me in terms I can understand. From an oil change to a tune up to everything in between, I trust all of my cars to Middletown Car Care because I know they will do the job right and stand behind what they have done. I am very happy to have them on my side.

Took vehicle in because i drove through high water and it shut down my engine. They replaced the necessary parts to get it running again. Just over a year later engine shut down brought it to them the exact same situation but did not go through any water this time engine just shut down. I ask if there was a warranty on the work they did? They said yes but only a year. It was no more then a week over a year later. Ask if he would pro rated he said no. So i got a tow truck and took it to another mechanic. He told me someone never put back the long bolt that tightens the belt it was missing. Thats why ur serpentine belt came off and shut down engine. You think middle town car care would have seen this and told me when they just looked at it. This is when it was called meineke it changed names but still the same bad service that i experience with same owner.

I recently purchased a used 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse and wanted a mechanic to look over the vehicle and address some concerns I had. Being new to the Middletown area I wasnt sure where to go and found Middletown Car Care online and made an appointment. Well i have to say that they have a new customer for life. From the time I was greeted until the time I left, I felt like I had been going there for 20 years. They treated me with respect and addressed each of my concerns. This is the first time I didnt feel like I was pressured into doing repairs from a mechanic and they now have a customer for life. Great service, honest and friendly. What more could you ask for?

I have know The owner for well over 16 years, He is always willing to go the extra mile to help someone in need. He cares about the people in his community. His staff from the front desk, to the mechanics are always friendly and helpful. I have witnessed these guys always try their very best to help someone when that customers back is against the wall. They have always kept mine and my wifes vehicles and great running condition!!

I should have checked the reviews before I engaged them. But I guess was just my bad luck that I had to go through the agony. They are overpriced and make up stories when it comes time to honor company coupons. They run a highly unprofessional establishment and am surprised how they have survived this long. I have lost faith in mieneke alltogether. Am never going back nor will recommend them for anyone else.

The people at Middletown car care are amazing. On Christmas Eve, my mother had issues with her car after she picked up my sisters family at the train station.... With one phone call, they waited for her to arrive, changed her battery after finding it was the cause... And said dont worry come pay for it Monday. Ann-Marie is always amazing on the phone, helping you get set up. Great service!!!

They really fleeced me today. Radiator job on a 96 Accord. $914. Looking over the bill, they charged me excessively for EVERYTHING. Even hose clamps @4$ a piece. Radiator hose was $70??? Cmon...$13 for a thermostat gasket?? Truly disappointed as they seemed like such nice people. Oh well, back to the search for an honest shop....smh

Called for same day apt and got one! Then they called me when they had a cancellation to see if I wanted to come in earlier. Very friendly lady at front desk! My car is on its last leg and they even took the time to write down suggestions of cars that fit my driving/life style. Above and beyond service!

They are the nicest auto shop. In every way going the extra mile. Kind and honest in their work, and they actually explained things to me. They worked miracles with getting a lot done with short notice. Definitely will be a return customer.

I havent actually had work done by them.However, I called to schedule an oil change, and they told me I would have to drop my car off when they opened and they MIGHT have it done by close! I just wanted an oil change not an engine rebuild!
