We have been customers for years. We had a free oil change for life of car at a previous repair shop that transferred to Premier. They honor it for a full synthetic change and do routine 30 point check. Rarely do we have the shop do any other work unless under dire need as we have a trusted mechanic within a couple minutes of our house. We arent automotive techs either but know basics of checking oil levels, changing headlights, checking tire pressure/filling up tires and car battery installation and use good old Google to pinpoint what may be wrong with car before taking it in to shop to give them a heads up on possible work or decide we could tackle the project if not too complicated. Took car in to Premier today indicating full synthetic oil change, right front tire needs replaced (2 new tire purchase assumed) and to look at the trunk mechanism (we saw a busted screw) to see why trunk wont open. Husband was in a meeting when Mark called to authorize work and hastily said ok to all work needed. I got the bill when husband returned home and called about a couple fees that I thought were a bit high and noticed a new battery had to be installed. Labor to install a new battery was $25. Like I said I am fully capable of removing and installing a new battery and knew it doesnt take me 30 min to do so for the labor fee that was charged. (Also covered a computer work around that keeps radio from resetting which I dont have access to. My method however is I just open my glove box, pull out radio code, enter code and radio is back to normal in an estimated 1 min of time). I explained that if we knew up front cost of instillation was $25 we would have just bought the battery and installed it ourselves or kept old battery since it was just low and not dead and gone to our battery shop, AutoZone. (Just to note AutoZone, where we usually buy our batteries, will test the potentially dead battery for free, check warranty and install it in the vehicle for free if we needed the assistance.) Trunk repair was $50 due to having to take mechanism apart and bend a piece of metal back into place and replace screw. Also charged me a $20 repair tire fee and reinstall fee for the bad tire. I was confused since we bought new tires so had to call about that charge. Mark agreed that should have come off and will credit the charge back to our card when we come back in.

I had received service at the Newark location on 2/20/14 to have my rear brakes checked, an oil change and check my brake light. Once I received a call form the manager, I was informed I needed new rear pads and rotors, which woudl run approximately $429. He also indicated that I needed new front pads and rotors, which ahd been changed 5 months prior. What he did not realize was that Premier had completed the work previously and was covered under their 2 year warranty. Once this was recognized, I apparently only needed pads, which they would. I dont know what happened about the rotor recommendation. I todl him to put pads on teh back and take care of the front. I then receeived another call back and now they find I need a new caliper on the front, which was not caught before they realized the work would be covered by Premier. I was then quoted a full price of approximately $439 for all repairs. I agreed onyl because I needed my car. Once I arrived at the shop, I was informed that they found a short in a wire for the brake light and now my bill was $532.64. I feel this is absurd for brakes, an oil change and a small brake light repair, especially when the front brakes were supposedly covered by Premier. I paid the bill and upon enetering my vehicle there was grease on teh carpet, steering wheel, gear shift and windows. Additionally, there were 2 greasy rags left on my passenger seat. I had service completed by this garage before with stellar service and I have recommended alot of people to their garage because I felt the service was fairly priced with excellent outcomes. I contacted Premier through their website with this information, but of course, no follow-up. I would love to hear from someone at this point, but I am sure that will never happen! Gouged by the garage once again!

The transmission filter in my car had gone bad, I brought it in letting them know that that was the main issue- and said something in passing about the cold weather. The price of a new filter is about 10.99, the filter that had gone bad had a job time frame of about an hour. Hey wanted to change me $400 to change the filter, and do a system flush- my car currently has 50k miles, if anyone knows anything about cars, they would know that replacing the fluid completely would get rid of the friction and possibly cause he transmission to slip again, they told me I was wrong and would refuse to just top off the fluid like I wanted. On top of that, they wanted to charge me $500 to fix a temperature issue- one that didnt exist. I had said in passing that it took me forever to check the trans fluid because my engine wasnt heating up enough to have the needle hit the middle of the temp gauge- they wanted to charge me to "fix an issue with my car." It was 7 degrees that morning..... my car wasnt broken it was a weather issue. I took my car into deltrans down the road, told them the same thing, I just needed a filter change, and a transmission top off. I just got the call this morning that I was, in fact, correct. And only have a bill for $160. This car shop tried to squeeze 1k out of me, if you know anything about anything I would suggest not to go here.

I am a former customer of Fenkell Automotive in Newark. I had an issue with a tire that I purchased at Fenkell a few months ago and called them. When they answered, I was surprised to hear that Fenkells number connected me to Premier Auto & Tire. I spoke to the owner (Brandon) who advised me that Premier is in the process of buying out Fenkell Automotive and will be servicing their customers. Brandon scheduled my repair and replaced the tire under manufacturers warranty with no out-of-pocket cost to me. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. Brandon is also looking into an issue with a windshield that was previously installed by Fenkell. Premier Autos service was exceptional and I will surely return when my cars free maintenance period expires. It is a rarity these days to receive such high quality customer service like I received at Premier Auto & Tire! They have definitely earned a new customer and I will surely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work from an honest company!

Honestly they dont even deserve one star, but long story short, they overcharged me for parts they claim came from the dealer, but when I called the dealership to get pricing for the parts they charged me from the guy in the parts department he told me how much each part was, so with each I paid for I was overcharged by close to $500 more than what the parts cost! So when I mentioned this to the manager at the shop, all he could say is "well we gotta make something off the parts " its called "upcharge" ! I said no my friend that is extortion! And after all that trouble my check engine light is still even after paying $1600! Rip off, rip off, rip off! Do not. I repeat do not, waste your time here. And people leaving good reviews are employees or friends and family of the employees. And lastly had the nerve to say that I was the type to hide behind a computer and write a bad review when I clearly told them how I felt to their faces. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!
