The Groupon thing happened to me too last year! I didnt argue with them but I wish I had. I felt totally ripped off. The Groupon deal clearly stated it was for the keratin straightening that lasts 3 months+, which is normally $300 or so, because the wording was something like "$300 value for $75" but I was given the keratin treatment which barely lasts 2 days. I bought the Groupon option for 2 straightenings, and I havent bothered to go back for the 2nd. When I was there, they said I could apply the 2nd Groupon "towards the price of the $300 treatment and pay the difference". That this happened to someone else makes me pretty suspicious. Right now they have a spring special for $100 off the $300 treatment, and as tempted as I am, I just dont want to give them any more business if that Groupon scam is how they lure you in. *I only checked their Google reviews just now because I was hoping to find that my experience was a rare one, because Im from the Middletown area and like to support local, small business and I wouldve given them another chance had I read great reviews here, but not after reading that what happened to me happened to someone else.

Getting my hair done at Xandu was not just another hair appointment it was an experience. My hair stylist was Debrah but both ladies were extremely friendly and personable. They care about what was best for me and my hair and helped me come up with a plan to manage it and keep it healthy. I expressed to Debrah that I was very Tenderheaded and she was very conscious about what she was doing. She allowed me to play in my hair as she was doing it because not just a stylist but as a person who loves hair she understands touching it helps me to visualize what I cant see. They are willing to work with you when it comes to pricing on Most things and even have payment plans! I was very impressed with my appointment. I even got a goodie bag To go. The best thing is they have a punch card and reward you for spending your money with them. I know they appreciate me and thats why I appreciate them. Only thing is I wish they had a better location. It wasnt too hard to find but I know they could stand out more. So much talent in one place. Love it!! 5 Stars!

Had an amazing experience with Xanadu! Andrea was very friendly and professional offered many options and made my daughters hair experience an amazing one! My daughters hair color turned out awesome and her hair extremely soft & manageable. I would definitely recommend this salon to family and friends! I will be returning for my cut and color in 2 weeks myself on my next Friday off just for Andrea to do my hair! Thank you, Andrea your salon Xanadu definitely has a new customer!

Xanadu Salon was overall great. Walking in I was greeted, it smelled very clean, and they were quick and professional. when I walked in and I showed them pictures of how i wanted my hair and makeup done and I was on a budget. A lady by the name of Andrea helped me out and supplied excellent service, I came out looking great. I now am a client going every two weeks.

They have a coupon on groupon for kertain treatment, however when you go to get the service they tell you you should pay $75 more for the whole process treatment. and the groupon is only good for express treatment which is not as good as the whole process one. Not honest in the groupon ad.

When I took my hair out, the woman who cut my hair didnt even it cut it evenly; my best friend ended up fixing it. I was told it would be $200 for the price but was told it was $400 when I went to pay. Very disappointed.
