I was very pleased with the immediate service I received. Of all days for my hot water heater to break down with water all over my basement floors..on SUPER BOWL SUNDAY..I tried calling several plumbers which in their ads even stated 24 hr emergency service 7 days a week ...but guess what?..I found out this was not the case after all it was Super Bowl Sunday & do you think you can find someone on such a big event day????...I had one that said they could come out the next day even though the ad stated available service 7 days a week.. (24hrs a day) & then I had some rude responses from some of the plumbers. I will have to say this was not the case with Roto-Rooter which after making the call, was treated by someone that was very courteous & professional & then received a plumber by the name of Robert 1570 who came to my house almost immediately within an hour which is excellent being again on such a busy day-Super Bowl Sunday. Robert was very professional & knowledgeable. He stated that the hot water heater which was 14 yrs old would have to be replaced & said he could come out the next day at 8am w/my new hot water heater. Well guess what? Robert indeed did show up at that exact time!! To me this is amazing as how many times are we told by someone that they will be there at a certain time & they either never show up or show up hours later!!!! I will have to say I was extremely satisfied with the prompt service I received & also very happy with all of the employees that I dealt with thru Roto-Rooter. It is not that often that we are able to say this in todays world!!!!!!! The only negative feedback that I can give is that I was a little disappointed with the entire cost which I felt thier prices were much higher thatn I planned to have to spend...especially with todays economy which we are all having some financial struggles.. I just wish I could have had it done for a smaller amt. However, overall,I received excellent service & would definately recommend Roto-Rooter to other people!!!!

We had sewage as well as water back up in our basement. Called Roto-Rooter as I have in the past. I believe the technicians name was Keran. I told him where previous techs had cleaned out our line but he insisted on another entry point to our sewer line.. we have trees in the front yard.He had to move a lot of tools, boxes, etc.. in that spot vs. the one I asked him to, where it was free and clear but excrement was blocking him! I asked him when he was done if he was moving an old washer, as well as the rest of our things back to where they were, as I have a serious back problem. He just looked at me and said, "Really, I guess I could??"... SERIOUSLY!!! He went back down to move it. Previous techs ALWAYS cleaned up the excrement and ALWAYS put things back, so I did the wrong thing, assumed it was done the same way. WRONG!!! Also, when he was down there something fell, come to find out this: He DID NOT clean up the excrement, a 4 shelf plastic unit FELL INTO THE EXCREMENT AND HE LEFT EVERYTHING LYING IN THE EXCREMENT and he left my entire basement in shambles!!! A restoration company came to help with the clean up and ended up spending TWICE the amount of time to clean my basement as he didnt need to do! I could go on, but it just gets worse when dealing with the field manager who was so incredibly rude to me and THREE times said, "didnt I deal with you before?". SO WHAT! Roto Rooter was completely horrible and I will never deal with them EVER AGAIN and neither should anyone reading this review. I have given them two or three chances as a customer and they just dont do a good job at all for the money they charge. The technician said he would give me a 20% discount at the start of the visit because,"he thought we were nice people"....gee thanks...for nothing but a ton of work for me, with a bad back, putting my basement back together. MILLER RESTORATION... call them, they did an AMAZING JOB!!!

This is an on-going story, I still hope they will fix the problem. We noticed the sensor of our sewer ejection pump stopped working on June 26th, and I called Roto-Rooter to fix the problem. They replaced the sensor. But a few days later we noticed the pump starts too often: we used washer machine once and it kicked in at least 12 times. They sent someone on July 8th, but argued that was normal, moved the sensor a few inches high and left. Of course we have the same issue. I called them the same day (July 8th) and again today (July 12th) and left messages, but no one had called back yet. I dont need be a pro to know the problem is because the sensor is not set right or it is not the right sensor. And I assumed they are pros. Following is the update I promised (I corrected a few typos in my original post). I received a call yesterday from roto_rooter and Dennis came this morning (July 15th) to fix the problem. He immediately realized a wrong sensor is used. He replaced the entire pump assembly because he couldnt find the right replacement of the sensor. That should end my story. Following is only my opinion, and you dont have to agree with it. At least there is someone in this company knows how to get a job done and can do a great job. I am changing my overall rating from 1-star to 4-star. I am very happy with what Dennis did today. It would be a great experience should he be the one made the 1st or 2nd visit.

We needed a plumber as we are renovating our master bath. We had a good friend who was our plumber when we built our home years ago but he had moved out of the area and we didnt think wed ever find anyone as skilled as he. My husband started our search by asking the contractor. We got 2 names and called. One was to come at 7 PM one night but never showed. We called him and he said he was still on another job; no apology. The other seemed unsure of working with Moen faucets so we had no confidence in him. My husband then called a well-known company who said theyd call when they could come out. We never heard from them. After days passed, we became discouraged so my husband went to the Yellow Pages and the first company that he saw was Roto-Rooter so he called. The phone was answered promptly and courteously and they said they would send someone out when he became available. They kept us informed by phone as to when he would be out. The employee came to our home the same day in the late afternoon, went and looked at the job, gave an estimate and was ready to start. We were amazed at the speed at which this all happened. He started right away. My husband was impressed with the ability of the worker and the manner in which he worked, and his knowledge of the job. At all times, he was professional, courteous and considerate. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend him and Roto-Rooter to others.
