Pros: Jimmy picked up phone when I called I was able to schedule an appt for the following day The person who came (not Jimmy) called in advance soon before he arrived (though not at the planned time) The person who showed up unclogged the toilet in about 10 mins No problems in that toilet since then, about a month ago Cons: There was a second guy who came along, maybe an apprentice -- he reeked of weed, eyes totally glazed, seemed like he was in another universe-- I was close to sending them away, seemed really unprofessional, but I needed the work done A minute before unclogging the toilet the guy doing the work said they were going to have to disconnect the toilet to find the clog, which would be a big long job-- I was concerned what that would mean in terms of cost and didnt want the high guy involved in anything -- while relieved when the snake worked moments later, I was confused about how after only 10 mins he was going to try to rope me into a big project when based on what happened that would not have been necessary The guy said it would be $190 -- I said wow thats really expensive for taking 10 mins with a snake unclogging a toilet, he said okay $150-- I just paid it since it was my fault I didnt confirm pricing in advance with Jimmy but if you are looking for a fair price I wouldnt say thats what I got On my original call with Jimmy I also said I wanted a quote for some heating work in the basement-- he said I would get a call from someone else to set that up -- its a heating and plumbing business but I guess the workers do one or the other -- and no one ever called I would consider doing business with them again on short notice if necessary because they are in the area but I would confirm pricing up front and with more lead time I would try to find someone else

So, at the worst time of year my Heat Pump-AC system failed to cool...I called a few companies including James Vito, Cropp Metcalf, and Parker Pearce.......It was not until I reached Jimmy Gusky whom answered his phone personally did I begin to make progress in ascertaining I did need a new system and it would be a waste of money for me to put "stop leak" or dye into my system. Both of these alternatives are very expensive! Tom Kelly, one of Jimmys managers came out to appraise situation, give me a charge of freeon and a quote on new system> I obtained several quotes and Jimmy was the best price on any of the alternative systems. I chose Jimmy and Tom because ot their communication skills as well as price. Course, I did not have any idea what would happen after I put down my deposit. The two installers came out on time (Tom was also punctuall each time (3) he came to my house). The installers explained the process to me as they ripped out old and put in new system. There was a slight clitch within 24 hours, but Jimmy sent them back the next day to make an adjustment and it took them 15 mins to completer process. My system is running smoothly and quietly, the warranties are recorded and I learned much about AC systems. I do not hesitate to recommend Jimmy Gusky. I was looking for a mid-size company instead of a "one truck" guy. I also did not wish to pay a premium for a large company such as Cropp-Metcalf or Vito....and especially not Parker Pearce as they wanted $450 + for freeon and more to "test for leak using dye". So, choose whom you wish but I hope my experience is helpful....

I cant say enough good things about this company. I had a kitchen leak a day before leaving for vacation....OMG. I received a reference for this company from HomeAdvisor. They called me within minutes. When I advised what my problem was, I was told a technician could be to my house by 4:00 pm. By 1:30 pm, I received a call saying they could be at my house within an hour, and they arrived in exactly an hour. The gentleman who they sent out and his apprentice, quickly located my issue, fixed it, and then cleaned up the leaking water (which he didnt have to do at all) - The price was super reasonable. I was ecstatic. I thought I would be eating Oodles of Noodles on my vacation since they gave me an emergency visit. But they didnt gouge me at all! Thank you so much for the great service. I will be contacting them for all of my plumbing needs!!

There are simply not enough hours in the day to describe how jimmy helped me in an emergency yesterday on one of the coldest days of the year. After Michael and sons sold me a state of the art sophisticated expensive HVAC system, Ive had nothing but trouble. The worst part is that Michael and sons does not have the resources to service their clients. I am a cancer patient undergoing chemo therapy which makes patients cold. My heat broke for the third time in 7 days and Michael and sons said they could get to my home maybe before midnight. I found jimmy online and called out of desperation. He sent his guys over in an hour and they fixed the system within minutes. Needless to say, moving forward I will always call Jimmy Thank you!

My heat stopped working about 2 days ago in this very cold winter. Home with 3 kids and working with space heaters was not going to be a long term solution. I needed service but worried Id be ripped off and told I needed a whole new boiler (its pretty old). I found Gusky just doing a Google search and couldnt be more pleased. t was scheduled for a same day appointment and my specific time request was honored. The serviceman texted me 30 min out to say he was on his way. He arrived precisely on time. He identified the problem, explained it to me in terms I could understand, fixed the broken part and was done in 25 minutes! And best of all the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Called them to come and get and estimate. They didnt call me until two days later. Set up an a appointment for the next day between 11am-1pm. They said the technician would call me when he would be on his way. Waited the whole time and no one called me. Finally called them back at 1.20pm and they didnt even know why I wasnt called back or where the technician was. They just said, he will be there soon. Offered to reschedule for two days later. I declined their services. Their lack of response and professionalism was terrible. I am glad I did not engage in a formal business relationship with this company. Who knows the type of delays or problems I would have had to face if I actually decided to contract with them.

Needed new furnace/AC system for rental property. Tom Kelly came over same day and gave me an estimate. Had quotes from 2 other companies but chose Jimmy Guskys company. Tom explained in detail what was needed (equipment, type of furnace & AC, the need to line the chimney to adhere to DC codes/safety etc. ) and he made his recommendations. He also gave us a special discount that brought the cost down but still installed top of the line equipment. The work was scheduled the next day and completed in 1 day as he had a crew to complete the job. Tom is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and they will be servicing all my HVAC and Plumbing needs in the future.
