Had an emergency water heater malfunction on Saturday, called in and gave my info to a receptionist who didnt sound hopeful that they could do anything more than diagnose (it was looking like a full water heater replacement job), but shed have a tech call. Spoke on the phone with tech, Greg, several times and hed had me sold on being able to bring a new water heater (mine was 30 gal, he was going to bring a 50 gal) and have it installed that day, but would be at a premium weekend rate - which I had no problem with, Id have paid anything to get hot water back in my house that day (as most other companies couldnt do anything until Monday and 2 days without hot water in the winter isnt something Id be thrilled about). Hed called back again to say he was done with his last job and was on his way but needed my address again. when I told him I lived in Midtown Harrisburg (near the farmers market), he hesitated and said, "yeah, we normally dont service that zip code". Id asked if parking was the issue because I was in a residential area that did not have meters and his response was, "well yeah, parking is one of the reasons among... other reasons" without saying what those reasons were, but alluding to something that came across as a little offensive, but because hed promised and essentially already made the sale, hed still come out because of my situation. Two minutes after hanging up with him, hed called back, said he spoke to his boss and they didnt have anyone to come out with him (2 man job, they couldnt have the customer help with moving the old water heater, etc). He offered to come first thing Monday, but Id told him that wed already established that I needed something today and could not take off work on Monday (and didnt want to be without hot water until then). He then said there was nothing else he could do, and it was clear he wasnt coming to help any longer, now that he knew hed be servicing a neighborhood that wasnt all-white. I dont live in a high crime neighborhood, pretty safe actually, and parking fees are not an issue in my neighborhood, but it is a predominately non-white area, which I guess is what he meant when he mentioned "other" reasons they dont service Midtown Harrisburg. I can not believe this company led me on for over an hour with the promise of emergency assistance, only to back out over what I can only assume is their latent racism and fear of crossing the river to the east shore. I will never use or recommend this company again, and I can only hope they either go out of business, or get replaced with a company who cares more about the people they serve, than the color of a neighborhood and fear of a particular zip code.

Called for a leak under sink in bathroom. We were told that they would get back to us but probably it would be the next day. Well it was 4 days later. The Plummer was met by our father and friend and told us that there was no leak under sink. He checked the shower head and said he fixed it. When he was finished after 20 minutes onsite and asked for 250 dollars we asked if he could check the basement toilet and was told he could not. One day later our renter called to inform us there is still a leak under sink. We called to ask if they could come back to fix it and they flat out said it was not leaking when they were there and will not come back! So, we called a reputable Plummer and got our 6 leaks fixed! And he also fixed the basement toilet. Basically gave them $250.00 for nothing! So when you call the company and the receptionist asks you how they can make you smile hang up and call another Plummer.

We were extremely impressed with how Jeff Wilbur came to our home and measured very room to give us the proper estimate. Our installation crew, was excellent. He invited questions and made every effort to explain to us what we needed to know about our new system. He went out of his way to install the new system exactly where we wanted it, and even went as far as correcting the errors made by the previous and original installers of our old systems. He took the time after a long hot day to review with us the wifi thermostat and went as far as walking us through the website. We cannot be more pleased in our choice of Wilbur Plumbing and Heating, Inc.

I contacted this company for an advertised emergency service. I had no heat and it was freezing out. They can the next morning and charged me an emergency fee. No problem, but they also charged me an additional "diagnostic" fee to determine the problem. Tech came but said he couldnt fix issue until Monday. Never returned!!! Company ripped me off for $200 and when the owner was contacted, he was rude and ignorant. Terrible business and knows nothing about customer service.

Josh and another service tech came out to our house for a simple toilet clog...he quoted me a best case price of $800.00. After paying the $140.00 for them to show up and provide the insane proposal, I sent them on their way. I had it fix the following day for less than $200.00 Be extremely careful with this company. They truly do not understand the value in honest work and retention of clients. Wish I could leave a negative star here.

Fast, same day service, but was unable to solve our problem. Our kitchen sink was clogged. After messing with it for an hour, he suggested scheduling another appointment so that he could install a clean-out in order to get a better angle for the snake. My wife found a clean out already installed and ended up snaking it herself. The replacement pea trap that he installed leaked too. Waste of $65.

Put a heating pipe in a storage area of roof. Left unfinished bare hot pipe in storage area. Called to finish by wrapping the pipes. Was told $65 to come to finish this job. Hope if we rent the house no one gets burned because of these pipes left bare in the storage area.

the work was performed by two very nice fellows. the cost was fair on the service call charge and the faucet installation of the wolverine cartridge. the other two charges were a bit salty enhancing my hot water pressure and clean out the lines.
